Patients often suffer in the present American healthcare system. Patients are frustrated by long delays to obtain an appointment, hours spent waiting to see a provider, uncaring office staff, and unreturned phone calls. Patients feel their medical needs are ignored as typical office visits are impersonal "factory assembly lines" during which no one appears to actually know the patient or address their concerns.
For over 30 years, I have had the opportunity to do what I love: Being the family physician for patients of all ages while providing the special touch that demonstrates how much I truly care for them. One of my favorite expressions is -- 'People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care.'
By charging a low monthly membership fee, Direct Primary Care of the Carolinas is able to limit the practice to only 500-600 patients, instead of the 2000+ patients that most traditional physicians cover. Therefore we have more time to care for each patient. This monthly membership provides for the vast majority of your primary care for a simple, fixed price.

I've spent most of my life being herded through physicians offices who were under the direction of a hospital, or part of a large physician group. My insurance costs were astronomical, and so I rarely went to see a primary care physician. Not to mention that I rarely spoke to the actual physician for more than 10 minutes, which consisted of "here's the drug I'm going to prescribe you for your problem". Dr. Katibah's practice is totally different, and is helping to change the whole paradigm of medical care. His staff are amazing, and he is the most attentive, knowledgeable, encouraging physician

I have to say Dr. Katibah is the most dedicated and loyal doctor I know. He was supposed to be on vacation this week, but when I called in about a little problem with boils on the back of my neck (which have apparently become infected and are very uncomfortable), Dr. Katibah stopped everything and took care of me anyway. While on vacation! That man is worth every penny I pay him to be a member of his club. I don't even bother seeing my primary care physician allocated to me by my insurance company - don't need to with Dr. Katibah on the job.

Dr. Katibah provides the utmost care to his patients. The model of medicine he has chosen, direct primary care, allows much more time with patients, makes the entire process transparent and affordable, and removes all administration and middlemen from the doctor-patient relationship.
Every appointment I have had has been informative and answered all my questions.

Dr. Katibah is exceptional! He provides care the way it should be: plenty of time for discussion, thorough exploration of treatment options, and careful follow up when needed. It is always easy for me to get an appointment, and Dr. Katibah and his staff follow through with answering my questions and returning calls, even after hours. I am able to get accurate estimates for the cost of a service before I make decisions about my care, which I really appreciate (and which hasn't always been my experience in other medical settings).
