I absolutely adore this place. Not sure what the bad reviews are all about, those people don't know good Indian food. It's not some fancy pretentious restaurant, it's not supposed to be. It is delicious homestyle Indian cooking. Chicken is very tender and cooked nicely every time, but I come here mainly for the spicy paneer biryani - which is to die for. If you're not a spice fiend, get mild. Personally, I love how spicy and flavourful they make it. They give you LOTS of food for what you pay, will last at least 3 meals by yourself or you can split it with your partner. Praveen

I use to order from this location 3 times, the food was okay. But this time I came from San Francisco to Fremont, and I got a chicken Biryani and the chicken was under cooked. There's red spots on it. I also ordered chicken tikka masala which was very sweet. The samosa was not fresh mix with lots of oil

Please do not go to Biryani bowl, these guys serves very bad biryani... me and my daughter did not eat anything....
we ordered family pack chicken dum biryani, i took home and started eating i felt chicken is bad and rice is bad....
When i asked them they started yelling at us . saying bad words...

HINDUS MYST STOP ORDERING HERE
Why would they serve Halal without explicitly stating it in their restaurant. This is violation of religious beliefs of Hindus and crass negligence on the owners. Would they dare to serve prasadam in the menu to other religions? The. Why are Hindus being taken for a ride. Shame on this restaurant doing this for earning few quick bucks!!

I ordered takeout directly from Yelp (which used Grubhub). Showed up at the stated time.
First, they could not find my order....it turns out they only see the first name or the last name. If you give them one they haven't seen then you are SOL.
After 3-4 people looked into it, it finally dawned on them that it was a Grubhub order. AWESOME!
THEN, they said someone from Grubhub picked up the order!!!!!
The owner showed up 10 minutes later and asked me to call Grubhub and ask for a refund OR pay for the food again as they cannot give the same food twice and get paid once! However

Will not go and suggest anyone to go their hair on my food.
We all ordered noodles from this place and fried rice for lunch they had bunch of hair in noodles on top and we go inside the box we found other bunch of hair. We are safe we did not touch their food. Hope health department will have inspection. We requested refund for whole food but they gave us only refund for noodles. Run down place. Never go back. We never no what kind of virus bacteria in that food as we found hair.

The food is good, but the restaurant concept confuses me.
I've wanted to try this place for a while, when I did, I must admit I'm a bit disappointed. Not by the food, but by the restaurant concept.
I initially thought this place was Chipotle - like, Indian fast food lunch bowl.... where I can order a bowl of food, with rice, a dish, and maybe a side. Not the case, this place functions more (and looks) like a canteen at a higher price point.
I had to buy the dish and rice separately, which conflicts with the restaurant name. I was expecting Biryani bowl to come with rice - otherwise

Biryani Bowl has an YUGE menu, they have the usual offerings of an Indian eatery. i saw a lunch special with vegetarian or non-vegetarian entrees. a $ dollar difference. i went for the meats. available on the steam table, ready to go
eats: lunch special with 2 meats, naan, rice, papadum, raita, kheer.
paying with cash gets 5% off. (10)

scoop was small, meats tender, sauce was fresh, had a spice i didn't recognize. the naan, basmatc rice. papadum very fresh. didn't finish.
later finished rice, naan with kheer (rice pudding) and raita. a few

We are regular customers of biryani bowl from 10years. we got tandoori and it didnot cook well inside. It's very unhealthy. Please please take care next time when you give to customers. Taking outside food is very challenging in this pandemic. Please dont do it next time. We are now scared to buy again.

Visited Fremont couple if weeks back and got chance to have dine-in at Biryani Bowl. Its sufficiently nice spacious place to come over with family. But the star here is Food!! Very delicious and authentic Indian Cuisine. Mutton Biryani was really good. Mutton was very nicely tenderized and was complementing very well spiced in Biryani. Also tasted Boneless Chicken Biryani which will be my go to order on next visit. Kheer here is good too. Overall with food, service - this is a must try place if you're looking for Authentic Biryani.
