I think Bongo's was popping up in my search for a while and always bit hesitant to try out. I happened to watch a food program about Bangladeshi food and quite mesmerized about the options they have. Finally that inspired me to try out this place. This place is heaven for North East Indians! Most of our cuisine from India in the area/and the country is dominated by things like Dosa, Chicken Tikka and Biryani.
That is not what all Indians eat, there are some cuisines that take a lot of ingredients and less "Hot or Garam Masala" and that's what you will find here!" I have come here a few times after my first review because I miss home food so damn much and there are NO BENGALI RESTAURANTS in the area. But they have definitely stepped up their game.

Bangladeshi/ Bengali cuisine , their fish chop, biryani, korma, misti doi etc are really good. Very nice lady who owns and cooks these dishes.
The only negative is the mess you walk into when you go to pick up your food. It is 'to-go' only for now but the storefront is very off putting! Wish they would take the time to clean up the clutter. Too shocking for customers. Have heard other customers complain about this too. Food- 4 stars, storefront -1 star.
Just pick up the food, go home and enjoy!!!!

Me and my sisters ordered the goat rezala, paratha, plain rice, and alu dom.
I thought the paratha was a bit thicker than i'd prefer, rice was standard. My sister enjoyed her alu dom. My fav was the goat rezala! Lots of tender, fall off the bone meat, and good level of spice. If i'm ever in the area i'll come back.

Nice to see that old Gyro place transform into an Indian restaurant.
This Friday, I will stop by to taste the Kacchi goat biriyani, although the description of the 'baby goat' brings images of cute goats to my mind and makes me a bit guilty for planning to order it - "Kacchi biriyani : Marinated baby goat layered with raw rice and cooked together and served with herbed potato"
Sorry, Baby Goat.

Please be very careful when ordering food from here because they don’t compare the order number and customers orders get switched. JULIE is extremely rude and unprofessional. I was given a wrong order and then not a word of professionalism instead I was told I picked up the wrong order and it’s the customers responsibility to make sure the order is correct and the enterprise is not responsible to verify the customer gets the right order. I am a regular customer and like their food but very disappointed with the lack of customer service attitude and professionalism.

Biriyani with aloo [only the goat biryani does and not the chicken biryani:( , however it is extremely rare to find in US]. Authentic mishti doi! The chicken and the fish dish quantities were good but they tasted somewhat similar and were very oily. For biryani do I recommend: yes, for side dishes: not really, for mishti doi: absolutely yes!

Had been wanting to try Bengali food as it's been a while and found this place on Yelp. Ordered bunch of items to try and I would say I had mixed reviews. Some food items were really good (goat biryani, egg chicken roll and fish chop) but the rest were disappointing - mughlai paratha was way too oily and didn't have any flavor to it (felt like eating oil), Shorshe Ilish was decent but again too much oil in the curry. Will be coming back though only for their rolls and biryani and will try their chicken dishes next time. It took around 40 mins for our order to be ready in a weekend so

This place serves some of the most authentic Bengali dishes. The rosogolla and Misti doi are spot-on; reminded me of my hometown Kolkata. Fish chop, radhaballabhi and alu r dum are also equally delicious; alu r dum was a bit oily though but tasty. Will definitely come back again and try more dishes.

This is my favorite restaurant. I love their chicken kosha, rosogolla, and misti doi the most. They really hold authenticity in their food. This restaurant is a must-try if you like or want to try Bengali cuisine. Their food reminds me of my hometown (Kolkata). I love how they customize food according to the customers’ needs. 1 or 2 meal(s), sometimes more per week I order from them. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Bongo's food is the type of comfort food that we needed during the pandemic
I am amazed that they have maintained the food quality throughout! I especially love the biryani, rui do pyaza, ilish Maas curry, Murighonto, loita shutki and rasgulla and misti doi. This is one place I'll go any-day for the food. Sometimes they have specials like duck curry (the best I have tasted in my life), golda chingri and the yummiest rasmalai ever! The chef truly has magic in her hands! We have also catered their food and it was a hit amongst our friend!
Thank you for keeping the quality consistent and

Highly recommend the green peas Kachori and Aloo Dum, even though the aloo Dum is on the oily side.
Now the list of things that were a huge turn off:
- Misti doi (expected the bengali misti doi that I ate as a kid growing up in Bengal, they serve sweetened yogurt - not the same if you have ever tasted the authentic one)
- Rasgulla (again something they made and decided to give it a name used for a more authentic preparation)
- Egg chicken roll - not like any traditional rolls you would find in Bengal
- Mughlai parantha - not worth buying a second time
