William Massimo Rinetti founded Massimo's Italian Restaurant in 1976. Massimo's opening was the realization of Bill's lifelong dream of owning and operating a fine dining establishment. A second generation Californian whose grandparents emigrated from Sicily and the Piemonte region of Italy, Bill acquired his appreciation of cooking in the Italian style in the kitchens of his mother and grandmothers.

Heard good things about Massimo's but from "back in the day". We had a chance to try this place via Door-dash for delivery and we are very disappointed! $74.86 of food to be disappointed.

Ordered the following -

Calamari Fritter: Barley any squid. Very tiny and It was mostly batter. Had to refry it in the air-fry since hour delivery took almost 2 hours.

Chicken Marsala: Basic, sauce had no flavor. I even make it better than this. Lol

Fettuccine Carbonara : not authentic Carbonara. Smelled/tasted like pure bacon grease. Bacon was so soggy and I'm under the impression Carbonara

Ambiance classy.
Service was great.
Food was okay.
Paid a little over $400 with tip - 2 appetizers, 6 entrees (2 were kids entrees) & 5 drinks.

Overall, I've had better Italian food for the price we paid.

We dined at Massimo's to celebrate the incoming New Year. We have been to Massimo's in the past. We had a reservation and we were seated immediately. As in the past, the food was excellent and so was the service. Prices for the New Year's meal seemed higher than normal but included three courses: starter, main and dessert. The wait staff was excellent. Our waiter, checked in with us several times and dishes were served by others when needed. We enjoyed our dinner. I am sure that we will visit Massimo's again in the future.

I highly recommend the wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at Massimo's. It was delicious and the salad was perfect, the turkey, stuffing, mash potatoes, vegetables and gravy were super yummy. Their desserts were perfect. Very attentive service. Nice ambiance, too.

I had a microwedding in October 2021. Our ceremony was held at Holy Spirit Church and we wanted to do an intimate dinner celebration with our family nearby and not at a hotel. If you live in the Tri-City area, you know there aren't many options available.

I knew their food was good because we dine here occasionally, but I was very hesitant about booking Massimo's for a banquet. When I inquired about booking a private dining room, Tracy gave me a walkthrough of the facilities. Still I was a bit hesitant, but she did all she could to put me at ease.

I am so glad we had our dinner party

Food is great , the online ordering system is a mess, some stuff on the menu isnt on the just eat app and they wont take orders over the phone instead having to order something of equal value and then putting the required order in the notes. frustrating and makes me think twice every time i go to order takeout, opting for something simpler instead. Just put all the menu on the app, or take phone orders.

Very disappointed, spent £11.45 and ordered a large bolognese from this restaurant on Uber Eats and received this half arsed microwaved bolognese that is clearly not a large portion. Not sure if the food in the restaurant is actually freshly made but this doesn't paint a good picture, be wary

Very attentive staff. Food was very good. Came quickly and very tasty. Reasonably priced and a very good selection of dishes and drinks. Has a bar area also if you just want to pop in for a drink. Would reccomend for couples and families for either dinner or drinks

Very tasty food! Very reasonable prices! Staff are just lovely and work so hard to make sure everything is perfect. Quite a noisy restaurant but just shows how popular the food is!

Great food. Very tasty with large portions. Quick service even on a busy Friday night.
Was very loud so difficult to have a conversation. Probably best to go mid week if you want a quiet night.

We went to Massimo's on the recommendation of many Fremont residents for my birthday. We ate outside due to having an unvaccinated child with us. The outdoor patio had tables nicely spaced apart and on that particular day it was a bit windy despite tent walls to shelter the outdoor patio dining area. Heat lamps helped with that. Ambiance is definitely much nicer and more upscale/romantic inside.

Our server took good care of us, there were no issues. The food was good, though not spectacular and worthy of the price tag (though I may be biased having grown up on New York Italian food). Our

According to their website, Massimo's has been around since 1976. I believe that I have been dining here with family since the early 90's (Why do I keep dating myself here??) - it's been a destination for special occasion dining in Fremont for years.

From the outside, the restaurant looks smaller than it really is - upon entry, visitors walk through a small foyer to be greeted by staff at the hostess podium. From there, one can immediately see the separate doors leading to the Cocktail Lounge, Main Dining Room, and even the patio where they offer outdoor seating. The venue has

Five stars as a place for those special events when you want that special attention from waiters. Little pricey, but a go to place in Fremont when you want to splurge. Wine mark up is a little high and selection is average. The menu was updated and the food was excellent.

It has been 20 years since I went there last. Then, it was rat-pack Italian American with red Naugahyde booths. It was classy then and classy now with a more modern ambiance. Glad I went, and I miss the old decor. I am old enough to miss the days when you wore suits to dinner and the Maitre D' made the Caesar Salad

Tried this place as a freind had recommended it to me, she's been going for years so that was a good sign. Since it was a nice day yesterday we drove to Bearsden and stopped here for something to eat, we managed to get a seat outside which was great! The restaurant is nice inside, the outside seating area is open and ideal for for sun and the staff are polite and attentive which really made a difference. The food is italian with some American twists but still done to a nice quality (I find some americanised Italian places can be big eats but lower quality food), we had a starter between us and

It was different this time.
They have new Wait staff and they seem to forget a bit. Our Waitress had 0 personality but this place is still our favorite restaurant. The patio is a nice addition and the live music is a big plus!

I was kind of skeptical about coming here - not sure why. But we had no regrets! My husband hasn't dined out since the pandemic and he's been nervous about going anywhere but we had a great time here. The seating areas were all divided with plexiglass so it provided comfort for sure.

The service was exceptional upon arrival. The hostesses at the door were very sweet and seated us promptly even though we arrived 20 minutes late from our reservation time. The ambiance of the restaurant was definitely romantic, classy and appropriate for dressy attire. I noticed that it wasn't rated

My rating has mostly to do with the service we received rather than the food, which was a 2/5 at best as a consensus for my dinner party and a 3/5 for the food. As a whole, the average would probably be a 2.5 rating.

We made reservations for dinner at 7pm on a Friday through OpenTable to celebrate a birthday, which ended up being a very crowded time to come of course.

We were led to a corner table, which was fine because we had brought a dog with us and wouldn't want him to be too distracting. However, I don't know what it was - whether the corner table didn't give enough &apos

Have to rock out an update, as I had been in a couple of times between September and October 2020. After they opened up an outdoor patio area, after being closed for months in the early stages of the lockdown.

Still the same old school service personnel as I remembered from before. That's a plus as they are seasoned vets who know how to relay a fine dining experience. It's not Michelin level or anything, but for these parts, it's damn fine. They will recognize frequent diners, and I've witnessed very family-like bonds. I find that admirable.
