I’m an avid coffee drinker and very picky. It says a lot that when I was looking for a house in the area and discovered this little gem of a place, it was one of my key pros in choosing the house I bought. Great food, friendly uplifting staff/community with real interaction. The coffee is some of the best I’ve had in Seattle. Highly recommend

Good coffee, a huge variety of pastries and food items (everything from somosas to pizza slices to breakfast burritos), nice atmosphere, friendly workers. Their pricing on food is very competitive, cheapest in the area.
Cons: overall quality is about a 6.5- 7/10, I had the somosa and pizza. Somosa was very good, the pizza slice had too much cheese and reminded me of elementary school pizza in terms of quality.

Couldn't quite figure out why everyone is so crazy about this place. A friend brought me here to get coffee and a quick bite before heading on the road. I ordered a mocha, tuna melt, and a breakfast sandwich. The guy working there making coffee and making the food was not wearing a mask. It was also extremely warm inside and he was sweating. Made me a bit uncomfortable.
I asked if he had hot sauce and he looked so irritated. He told me there was some around the corner. But because they were only offering to-go, I was confused how I would take any sauce with me since there were no containers

I go this place at least twice a week it is amazing! The coffee there is so so good and their breakfast burritos are to die for (especially during a hangover). They recently added frosé to the menu which was super exciting. In addition, their back patio is super spacious with beautiful plants and flowers. Inside is nice and clean with plenty of plants and places to sit.
All of the staff is super friendly and allow well behaved dogs inside and on the patio. I cannot recommend this place enough for coffee and great drinks!

Nice little funky neighborhood spot with sweet and savory food options. They serve True North (local) coffee. The back patio had plenty of seating and some coverage from sun and rain. The nitro cold brew was light and tasted a bit like caramel and served over ice. It's not as strong/bold as the Starbucks nitro cold brew, not as much foamy head either. The pastries were too sweet for my tastes, but maybe that's your preference.

I haven't sampled any food or pastries; this review is about the man behind the counter and the setting. The MBTC was friendly, affable, and made a great recommendation for a cold, noncaffeinated beverage on a hot afternoon. The setting is Northwest de Funk. A variety of chairs and tables furnish both the indoor and outdoor areas. We sat outside under a canopy at a picnic table. We were very comfortable. I look forward to returning.

We LOVE this place. It is a real Seattle coffee house, with HOMEMADE food and treats. When restaurants were open my husband and I would also do some date nights here as they serve alcohol too and have tables to play games at. It is also family friendly. Friendly staff too. But seriously, the food is so delicious and comforting. Nothing beats homemade, in house! Our favorites are the cookies, soups, grinders, coffee and smoothies.

Everything I have tried from the pastries, cookies (not one is bad tried them all mmmm good), pies, soups, and sandwiches that they do not skimp on and they are all are outstanding. I love their Veggie, Tuna Melt, and Grinder sandwiches Their coffee drinks are the best that I have found in Ballard, rich and flavorful. I have not tried the beers or wins but they have a great selection. Great customer service friendly and lots of laughing when you get to know them. If you like chocolate on special days they have what is called Goo Balls and their gluten free chocolate nut outstanding. The chocolate

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. First off, I stopped in to grab a quick bite and found out they had some amazing beers on draft as well as a killer cider selection!! All local and delicious. Along with that pleasant surprise, they have great pastries that are hand made and crafted on site and even better coffee. Personally I don't drink coffee but everyone I've taken there has loved it and been eager to go back! Lastly, huge shoutout to the workers, Donovan, Alaina, and Mason have been nothing short of wonderful. They're always so attentive and kind and give

Really cozy and comfortable cafe and I had a sandwich a pastry and a cold brew - all were good and served attractively in artistic ceramic plates. Plus there is an interesting art show in the walls and cozy seasonal decor. Relaxing music. Variety of little tables from counter to window table to corner fireplace.

Finally - something different!! There are a lot of coffee shops in Seattle but our neighborhood was really in need of a place to grab a quick bite to eat - Donovan has solved this for all! He makes everything in house and from scratch. I don’t know how he’s so talented but everything at Copa is delicious. From the grilled grinder sandwiches to homemade soups, cookies and even gelato - thank you for being the best thing this neighborhood has seen in a very long time!
No need for an over priced “Jewish deli” - just good old fashioned food, great subs, all homemade. Closest thing to a NY

This cafe has mostly tables for two, and three tables for four, as well as some bar space. It's a decent place to chill and have a drink, or do work. I had a strawberry smoothie, which was really refreshing. I will have to try their coffee or some food next time (heard great things about both). The owners are very friendly and attentive. :)

I tried this place for the second time -l the biggest complaint I was was the barista - behavior, professionalism, and lack of skills. The barista (gender unclear) was probably about 17 and they were not working quickly and instead socializing with friends who seemed to be visiting them at work. The barista was loudly oversharing about a unicorn tattoo they had rather than focusing on getting my family's drinks correct. My dad ordered a short mocha and got a short late which was actually much more like a cappuccino. The environment is nice and it's a short walk from my parents so I may

After finishing an entire book in a warm futon nest, I saw glimmers of blue outside. Best to seize some vitamin D and get some lunch (1/13/18).
I decided on La Copa Cafe over on 80th and 24th in Ballard. The Yelp posts were accurate and glad I stopped in. Evidently I had been under a rock since this neighborhood gem has been open and thriving for over a year.
It is located next door to Cafe Munir with ample 1 hour street parking. I was drawn in by the pastry cases, great variety with slight imperfections indicated baked onsite.
There are also a variety of seating arrangements, front window counter

The first entry in my pursuit of Seattle's best cappuccino, or "CappQuest"© if you will, brings me to La Copa, a cool, unassuming independent neighborhood cafe, the sort that used to be the norm in Seattle before corporate chain stores ruined the scene. They do everything in house here, from the cookies and cakes to the soups and sandwiches. This is the epitome of the hyper-local DIY food joint I wish there were more of!
