Services
Earth Rider Bike Shop and Hotel started out in a small Wisconsin town at the start of the Sugar River Trail in 2005 but our fascination with sustainable transportation extends to the big city and the 606 trail. We are proud to establish and operate the Earth Rider bike shop (no hotel this time) in the Northwest side Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago at 1873 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60647 dedicated to urban mobility.
No appointment needed to fix a flat. Just come in and we will get you rolling again as soon as possible. Because of the specialized nature of ebikes and the propriety motor, battery, and display, and the diagnostic tools and training required to service them, we service only the ebikes that we sell.
Great products for great cyclists! Whether you use your bike for transportation or recreation, at Earth Rider we want you to have fun and be safe and comfortable on your bike. We curated a selection of products from the best brands that will enhance your mobility and create vivid memories while on two wheels.

Great service and an interesting selection of goods for bike lovers. We rented a couple bikes and the process was smooth and easy. The owner recommended a great bike route too.

Sharon was incredibly helpful and friendly! My friend and I met in Chicago to explore this beautiful city for the first time and Sharon set us up with bikes/helmets and maps of several route options. We had a lovely day biking around different neighborhoods and along the lake. Sharon was accommodating and kind. Renting for her bike shop (instead of a city bike share) meant we were fitted to our bikes, had appropriate helmets, and got great advice on best ways to explore. Highly recommend!

Really friendly and helpful bike shop! They've fixed flats for me on two occasions now and both times the service was fast, fairly priced, and done with quality workmanship.

I came in to the shop with a problem with my tire and Sharon was so quick and kind to fix my tire. She didn't charge me anything because the fix was so obvious and easy for her. Even when I suggested that I wanted to give her money. If your bike needs work I can't possibly recommend this shop more!

I came to this bike shop with my parents after my mom bought an e-bike. My mom had such a great experience that both my dad and I wanted to buy a bike there too to support them. We all came in and were there for hours as they let me try a one speed in the back alley and my dad try a couple different e-bikes. They were extremely patient and helpful and explained everything to us. Assisted with all of our questions. Overall extremely positive experience. A Great small business to support!

If I could give more than five stars, I would.
Two years ago, when I brought my bike for the first time to get some fixes, it was already a great experience.
I never want to leave a review with 1-time experience. I believe that genuine service is something that you can experience every time, not just because it is new and people need to be nice to grow their new business.
Two years later, I am here, writing a review.
While you can also find others shops around that give "similar" service, this place outstands them all. Sharon provides quality service, honest prices, and delivers on time and

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED bike shop!!
I found this shop by happenstance because I was looking for a certain brand for my first e-bike. I live in a northern Chicago suburb and this store is in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago. It is owned by a very knowledgeable woman who is well-versed in everything “bikes”. Her name is Sharon and she is very sweet and beyond helpful. Her husband and her were both working when we walked in on a Saturday late afternoon. They were both very nice and answered all of our questions; they let me test ride several bikes around neighborhood (and in the alley behind the
