I had a really great experience here. It was my first time getting my eyes examined in many, many years and Dr. Bligh was so kind and so easy to work with. I experience a lot of medical anxiety and this was one of the best medical experiences I've ever had. The optician team, Jo and Femy, were super helpful and great to work with when it came to frame selection as well. 5/5 would recommend!

Had a really great experience here, both online and in the store. I inquired about a specific frame and colour and Shareen was helpful and responded really, really quickly. I was super keen on getting new glasses so her quick response times really helped me out. I emailed in the morning and ended up having an appointment set up for an eye exam on the same day in the afternoon.
The eye exam experience was great, had an awesome time with Dr. Errin Bligh. She made the experience really fun and even showed me the reason why she was doing certain tests which I appreciated. She also had great recommendations

I was working just down the street and my left lens fell out of its frame. I walked in to this shop to see if they could help get it back in. Within a few minutes they had my glasses fixed. If you have a glasses emergency in the middle of Gastown, drop by here.

The most enjoyable eye exam I’ve ever had.
First, I’ve never actually had an eye doctor explain to me what they were checking for with each test, why they recommended certain contact brands for me, and how I can maintain overall good eye health. Dr Bligh was so knowledgeable, thorough and kind.
Plus the store is in a beautiful heritage building with a fabulous selection of unique and hip frames. The woman in the store was so helpful, friendly and patient with me as I tried on dozens of frames.
Will definitely go back :)

I don't think I could ever recommend this store enough. They genuinely have your best interest in mind here. Shareen helped me pick out my glasses and was patient, kind, funny, and honest throughout the entire process. The Gastown location is beautifully decorated with handcrafted furniture made from reclaimed woods, and there are Jazz records displayed on the shelves and playing on the turntable. If you see the glasses you want at this store, don't even bother looking around, as their prices are also the best you'll find. Thanks, DS team.

No wonder why they have perfect 5 stars reviews! It is very hard to come across such great service and attention. I brought by sunglasses to get new pads and they were changed on the spot. When I asked how much I owed, I was told it was nothing with a great smile! Thank you for such a pleasant experience. From now on, this will be the place to go!

After walking past this store each and everyday for over 5 years I finally walked in for a pair of glasses after no luck at neighboring eye glass shops. I am so happy I did!

I walked into this establishment in hopes of finding an optician who could repair my mother's broken pair of sunglasses. I was subsequently met by an extremely capable optician who expeditiously repaired my mother's sunglasses--perfect! The experience, on the whole, was very pleasant!

The glasses there are beautiful, only place I could find the Japanese brand I wanted! Super friendly, helpful, and charming customer service / will definitely go there again for future optometrist check ups/sunglasses +custom clip-ons!

From my first call to book an apt to walking out w a new prescription and ordered lenses for my existing frames as well as having my sunglasses fixed (when no one else could fix em) this has been a fantastic experience. Knowledge, honesty and professionalism are words that come to mind when I reflect on my buying experience at Durant Sessions. I had ordered a special lens layer and after wearing it a few weeks decided I didn't like the affect. I phoned Erik and he arranged to replace them asap and at no cost.

Amazing experience ordering from Durant Sessions. I happened to be watching Sherlock, and saw one of the pairs of glasses the character was wearing, and had to have them. After I ton of research, I found Durant. Literally the only place this side of the pond that carried these specific glasses. They happened to be part of last years collection, and are very difficult to find now.

Long story short, called the store, and they were extremely helpful. Sent out my glasses the same day. I received the glasses a few days later, along with a nicely presented invoice. Very expensive glasses, but very worth

Fantastic selection of very cool frames and just about the best service you could hope to get. Darren and China are brilliant - they provide refreshingly honest feedback on how frames look and don't seem to get tired of helping you find exactly the right frames. I live in Seattle but I'll definitely head back to Vancouver for my next frames. Go! You'll not regret it.

An easy five star for DS. They have a fantastic selection of frames which are well complimented by the knowledge and service of their top tier staff. If your in the market for a new pair of glasses I'd highly recommend you stop in for a look. Easily the best experience purchasing glasses I've ever had.

Excellent selection of quality frames and very attentive staff. Walked in with a friend looking for something similar to a pair of old frames that had broken and was happily persuaded to broaden my horizons.
Ended up with a pricey but striking pair of handcrafted frames that I love and can be sure won't crumble like my last pair. They're quite unique with a strong classic look to them. The brand is Jacques Marie Mage, worth checking out if popping in as I don't think many optical stores in Vancouver carry them. Will be back!

Oliver peoples glasses are difficult to find in Vancouver. I've been looking around the city for a few months till I found this spot. Great customer service. I have been assisted by Darren, very nice guy and so informative it comes to glasses. He toke an extra mile and explained some technical details about some of the glasses that I was interested in. Found what I wanted at a great price compared to the States or even online.
Will definitely come back again. I will surely recommend them to friends and family

Great optical shop in a cool location in Gastown! The guys working were very nice and helpful. Didn't have time to grab anything this go round but will be back.
