If you would like to be out on a waiting list, email me at kat@fouraims.com. While I am beginning to see vaccinated clients in person again, things are still fluid, and I may require masks according to circumstances. Welcome to Four Aims Counseling for Mind-Body healing, the integrative psychotherapy practice of Kat Allen.
My intention in providing counseling to individuals and couples is to open pathways toward clear, kind, authentic interaction, personal growth, and both insight and shifts in behavior and thinking. Due to my extensive background with therapies that ground one in the the body and deepen emotional awareness, I specialize in relationships of all kinds, working with the emotions (responsiveness and/or reactivity), trauma, and addiction.

Life is a journey of awakening, and not only can we learn to witness this process with more heart and clarity, we can connect more intimately with our own life force, our Core Being, and our life's greater purpose.
My Integrative Psychotherapy approach suits those looking to discover a new way of dealing with life's challenges and mysteries; to not only develop greater insight into why you do what you do, but to make real shifts in thinking and behavior by working directly with the underlying (sometimes unconscious) beliefs that cause suffering.

One thing is certain when if comes to relationship: if we want to exist with a certain amount of peace and happiness, we have to learn to relate well! For many folks, a good relationship is named as their 1st Aim of life, especially because the potential for growth in relationship is huge. We learn about ourselves in the mirror of relationship, and we can start to see what behaviors are causing problems.
Let's talk about sex and intimacy, and you're right: they are not inter-changeable, but how great when they show up together!. Imagine being able to be completely yourself, excited and utterly free about your sexuality, and really happy with what is going on in the privacy of your bedroom (or other rooms, for that matter).
Please be sure to check the Updates page for classes, events and workshops that may not be listed here!. Just in time for the Thanksgiving trip to see the family! One of the most neglected areas in our culture is learning how to be present in the Feeling Body and work skillfully with our emotions. The morning session will establish our ability to experience the Felt-Sense of the body, and integrate the experience of being Basically Good.

I've been an advocate for counseling forever because I firmly believe in the process. While I have had both good and bad therapists; to me, this is the best experience I've had.....ever. Kat Allen is as good as it gets for intelligent, thoughtful, experienced, and balanced feedback and processes. She is clear, tempered in her thoughts, and so insightful, she has already made a big difference in my life. Cheers to being a real pro in your business of treating people with respect and overwhelming insights!!!!

Kat Allen and the Four Aims Center has been so important to me and to my family.
The Four Aims Center is really a multi-faceted sanctuary tucked next to a corner of the green Lincoln Park in West Seattle, easily accessible from Fauntleroy Avenue and all parts of Seattle. The center that Kat has built is professional but very personal and warm. It invites quiet, open, discussion and revelation. The practice benefits from the environment of the building and the neighborhood.
Kat's guidance and wisdom and her quiet calm approach, benefitting both mind and body, is the reason that I am writing
