While working in an emergency room in Dayton Ohio, Dr. Atwood came to the realization that emergency dental care is prevalent and there is a demand for doctors who are willing to care for these patients. These patients, with feelings of desperation and no place to turn, seek out help from hospital emergency rooms.
Bleeding can be a serious problem and if severe you should seek medical attention from your doctor/dentist or go to the emergency room. Bleeding following dental treatment can occur and should be closely monitored. Blood can mix with saliva and appear to be more serious than it really is, however, it should not form liver looking blood clots and if this occurs intervention may be necessary.
Dental bridges are used to bridge a gap between teeth where there is one or more missing teeth. The teeth adjacent to the missing tooth/teeth are prepared for crowns. The crowns are created with a fake tooth/teeth fused into one unit. There are numerous benefits of bridges from restoring or perfecting your smile.
Broken dentures can be traumatic emotionally. Dentures can be repaired in many cases. Teeth can be replaced and fractures can be mended. Sometimes it is necessary to remake the denture. The whole staff at Urgent Dental was exactly what one needs at the dentist. Dr. Schmitt was very patient with my anxiety. The Dr.'s assistant (I don't remember her name) was knowledgeable and courteous. Jennifer at the desk was friendly and explained my bill in detail.

I have a Phobia of dental work since childhood when the town dentist pulled my tooth without anesthesia. It traumatized me for life. Really amazing staff and service. I had not seen a dentist is way too many years. The ladies in the office were understanding, compassionate, thorough and gentle. I was in need of emergency dental repair on a Sunday. There were no dentists available in my area so I checked the Vegas area. I found Urgent Dental and phoned them. They called me back and got me in for an appointment two hours later.
The office staff and dental assistant were very professional and the waiting area was comfortable.
The dentist was extremely professional and easy to talk with. She quickly diagnosed my issue and chose the most conservative method of repair. She could have easily jacked up the prognosis and charged for an expensive root canal. I was very impressed with everyone

My experience was truly amazing and so is Joanna and her amazing staff, I haven’t been to the dentist in a while and needed to have some urgent problem areas addressed! Not only did they help me with those problem areas but Not knowing much about insurance or co-pays or even knowing wear to locate my dentist insurance card. I normally don’t ever go to the dentist especially after a bad experience from a root canal when I was young, but I definitely would recommend this place. Been dealing with a toothache that was radiating all over my mouth and needed to get a tooth pulled. They were able to get me in fast, didn’t cost a arm and a leg (I don’t have insurance), and we’re able to remove my tooth without any pain. Even days after, I still feel no pain and am finally able to sleep without waking up to tooth pain. Will definitely be returning for any of my dental needs.

I'm so happy I found Urgent Care. I'm terrified of the dentist, so terrified that I lived with half of my tooth missing for 2 years. The pain became unbearable. I called on Sunday and they were able to get me in the next day. Dr. Schmitt and Mindy were so kind. They made sure I was comfortable and really put me at ease. Lisa is the best! They only care about money and not your time. 6 future appointments they scheduled, or tried to schedule. I told them, I'm a middle class working American, I don't have time for that. They try to schedule your cleanings in sections, upper right, lower right, upper left, lower left. That's four appointments alone. That's unacceptable. I don't know if they do this to gobble up copays or what. But it's ridiculous.

Don't be afraid of getting your teeth cleaned! This place is excellent! Even though the name makes it sounds like it's for emergencies, they do regular cleaning here too! They have a new portable x-ray gun and it takes x-rays electronically in a snap! Sherrie cleaned my teeth. She was thorough, but gentle. She wore glasses and a mask, and no face shield, which I thought was odd. I mean if I was a hygienist, I'd want to protect my face from Covid germs! They ask you to come in when it's your appointment time, and you call before you walk inside. They are not polishing teeth

I've been going here for a few years now & went to Dr. Attwood in the beginning (he was really nice) then due to scheduling, I now see Dr. Schmitt and omg she's so great!! She makes you feel comfortable and stays completely honest. Their hygenists and staff are super friendly as well. The 25 minute drive is definitely worth it :)

I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out by Dr. Atwood on 8/16. Three of these were impacted. I had laughing gas and they made sure my mouth was completely numb before moving on. I was so scared of this process but the whole team made me feel like it was not a big deal at all. Dr. Atwood had all four of my teeth out and stitched in about 6 minutes! I was shocked at how quick and easy this was. Today is the day after my surgery and I feel great. My mouth is barely even swollen and there is no bruising. I would highly recommend Dr. Atwood for getting your wisdom teeth out. It was the best experience

My experience here was very positive Dr. Atwood is so nice, gentle and he does a very good job. He is also very honest he is a doctor with a wonderful heart. he is compassionate His stuff are very nice. Doctor Atwood went out of his way to help me he did a root canal and it was a piece of cake the pain was very minimal and after the mubming went away I had no pain at all. I have been going to Urgent Dental since they opened. I had a tooth ache on Thanksgiving Day and was looking for a dentist that might be able to get me in the next day. I called Urgent and Dr Atwood answered. I told him my problem and he said he could meet me in his office in about an hour. I thought wow, and told him I didn't want him to leave his family on Thanksgiving. To make a long story short, I was in his office @ 9:00 am the next morning and he was there waiting for me.

I've always been so afraid of the dentist! I always make the mistake of waiting until I'm in far too much pain and finally give in and schedule a appointment with a dentist. After some research I scheduled an appointment with Dr Schmidt. From the 2 awesome ladies at the front desk checking me in and being diagnosed everyone was so great. I was seen right away.
