I lived at Nelson Pointe for the last 2 years and other than some occasional toilet and kitchen sink issues, I enjoyed living there. But my apartment was damaged due to flooding with the recent hurricane so I had to move out. That's been the main issue so far. I paid rent on Oct 1st and left per the city's mandatory evacuation on Oct 9th, and since then hadn't been able to come back since Nelson Pointe informed us that the apartment was too damaged. My current grief is that I was told that my rent would be refunded, but I have not received anything yet, not even a callback when I have tried to

I am a current resident. My husband and I are having to temporarily move out due to water damage from Hurricane Delta. Management has gone above and beyond for us in this transition. We've never had one issue with them or maintenance in the 12+ months we've lived here. I look forward to moving back in our unit soon!

We have had issues with this complex for months now. Had to move buildings because of harrassment problems from kids and management would not help us with the situation. After paying more fees to move to another building, we got charged for carpet cleaning after only being in the apartment for three months and they are not using the $500 pet fee that we paid when we moved in. It is one scam after another with them. No help from management and they do not take complaints seriously.

Hands down the best place I’ve rented from! The office staff is very nice. Maintenace is always quick to help me out when needed. Beautiful pool and beautiful apartments. Very spacious. Parking is a little limited. I highly recommend anyone looking for an apartment in Lake Charles to come check these apartments out!

I lived at Nelson Pointe 6 years ago, and recently moved back to the area. I am pleasantly surprised to see how the grounds and staff are still all very nice and well kept. This community was one of my favorite places to live over the years and I'm glad to be back in the area. I have been here for a couple of months and they do after hour events for the residents and have coffee and cookies every morning fresh in the clubhouse. I have had a few maintenance request and they have all been taken care of same day or following. Would highly recommend to all! My apartment even has a wood burning fireplace

Will never recommend. I would leave 0 stars but it will not let me. They charge you the same as the new apartments but arent even half as nice. And carpet smells bad when you first move in. So you know it's not new and now I'm paying for next person to have new carpet. Paid pet deposit. They always get their money plus hundreds more. Guarantee you a walk through yet I got refused. Good luck.

Updated to three stars because we finally spoke with management. Things worked out. Gave three stars due to a very loud, and inconsiderate neighbor. Also, people not picking up pet waste. It’s typically not the ones that were living in our area. Others would go out of their way and walk a long ways just to not pick up their dog’s waste. You begin to recognize those who do it, and you stumble across them coming or going from their apartment when you are coming or going to yours. 9 times out of 10 they don’t live very close to your area. It gets old especially if you wind up with that waste
