Love this place!!! Food is so delicious I cant get over it. Boyfriend and I decided to order takeout to try since we live really close and I'm thankful we did.

We ordered the kebab combo for two which was a tad pricey but had a lot to try. We got the chicken and beef kebabs which came with a big side of rice, eggplant, soups for both of us, vegetables for both of us, bread and two deserts. Lots of food and if was all delicious!

Will be making an effort to dine in one of these days

The owner and staff are wonderful- it’s as if they are welcoming u into their living room. the food was fantastic! the rack of lamb entre was tender and so savory- we had an eggplant appetizer and an eggplant entre. they were distinct and scrumptious! last nites dinner was one of the best i’ve had out in seattle in a while. the rose water pistachio custard was outrageously gorgeous. oh and i left full which i appreciate, as a hearty eater sometimes i leave high end “foodie” restaurants and need to hit ducks before i go home because the portions come up short for me. not last night- i was

Super yummy and not like any other restaurant in the area that I'm aware of. The Ashak with beef is my favorite but really everything's good. My kids really like the kebabs. And I appreciate the walk up window for covid safe pick ups. Highly recommend.

I wasn't particularly fond of the food, and think the portions are a little small for the price. But one of my friends loved the egg plant.
It's a cool experience and the staff were very nice. Busy on weekend nights but can reserve by phone; parking was right across the street. Expect $30+ per person.

Okay so we ordered the murgh kebab and this is 20 bucks dish. It has literally 4 and a half piece of chicken and 5 bites of rice! Absolutely disappointed. Taste and quantity does not justify the cost.

I'm a frequent to-go customer, I've ordered all the different kinds of kebabs here and they never fail to delight. Expertly cooked, juicy, and perfectly seasoned meat and refreshing sides and vegetables. While the portions may seem small, the meat, rice and vegetables are actually quite filling. Service is also fast and consistent in all times I've ordered. If you want a different yet excellent Mediterranean / Mideast cuisine experience from the standard venues in town, this place is the spot!

Wonderful experience at Kabul last night. Try the Bolani- crispy and perfect with the sauce. The signature eggplant was unique and the saffron rice was tasty. Paired it with a mango juice. Excellent service!

Super delicious. Well worth visiting at least a few times to try out the menu. Somewhat pricy, but the food is crafted with care, and the taste will blow you away.
Owner has a cool life story too - definitely worth reading about.

You cannot find more juicy kababs anywhere in Seattle! We have been eating here for past many, many years and always come out with food coma. The food is mouth watering good. I mean everything, not just the kababs. If you don’t like eggplant, try it at this pace and be ready to change your mind. The staff is excellent. We go to Kabul to celebrate birthdays and often when guests from out of town visit. Never have been disappointed in the last 15 or so years.

Setting: We did take out because of COVID. Picking up the food was super easy as they had a side window dedicated to picking up food.

Food: We had the Badenjan Borani and the Murgh Kabab with the Badenjan Borani side. Both dishes were phenomenal. The eggplant was perfectly cooked and the chicken was flavorful and tender. Thankfully the chicken was not dry. The rice also tasted amazing in addition to the pickled sides that they give.

Value: This place feels overpriced, with each dish being about $20-$30. We ended up paying $50 for two people. Our favorite Afghan place in Fremont, CA charges

Please support these guys! We got takeout from them tonight and it was delicious. There was a snafu with the order that was our fault, not theirs, and they were so gracious with helping to fix it. Loved the veggies and lamb dish.

My friend who comes to visit from Portland loves this place and I can see why. The service (during pre Covid times) was excellent and the food was very good. The have a mix of meat and vegetarian dishes and I let my friend order since he has been here many times. Lamb is always a big hit. Have not been to try take out since Covid. I enjoyed the food and the service.

We have been coming to Kabul for 5 or 6 years now and have added two kids to our family in that time, both of whom have been welcomed with open arms (during non-pandemic times, of course). Pre-COVID, we had the same waiter every time and even under less than ideal circumstances now, he asks the person picking up take-out about our family's health and genuinely cares about the customers who come by.

I used DoorDash once or twice at the start of the pandemic, but they must add on significant fees to each dish somewhere in the process because the food was roughly $30-50 more expensive than

Amazing food in a very cozy and warm place. The owner, Walid, is very friendly and makes sure you're taken care of. Dishes are varied and bursting with flavor but also not heavy. Excellent house made chilli sauce to turn up the heat if needed. Great selection of wine and beer. Highly recommend. Make reservation on weekends as it does get busy. Great vegetarian and vegan choices.

Took my grandma here and had a great time. The food was so good. Our server was a great help in explaining what everything on the menu was.

I went here once before and had a bad experience with a previous male server but the food was good enough to come back and risk dealing with him again. But thankfully it was someone different!

We had the roasted eggplant, lamb kebab, fish stew, and the most amazing rise with raisins and shredded carrots! So good!

It's also good to know that they only open for dinner starting at 5pm.

Perhaps our friend's inecessant raving about this place set our expectations higher than Afghanistan's Mount Noshaq. Or, perhaps it's the fact that at $35.00 a pop, you'd expect racks of lamb to be larger and have more meat than grandma's set of dentures. But sadly, no.

We came as a group of four, were promptly seated at a nice table. It was still early on a weekday, but there were already two or three tables occupied. Decor is nice white linen service and the service is absolutely effusive, deserving of a star in and of itself, which is why this review is three stars

Good food. There are a lot of vegetarian options. Lots of flavor and not too spicy. The yogurt sauce is perfect . I would also recommend the cardomon tea, firni.

I think it's a little pricey; I don't know if that's an yelp thing . An entree costs about $20 and cannot be shared, the portion sizes are suited for one person. And I am a light eater.

I will definitely come here again to try out more.

Kabul Afghan Cuisine is my first experience with Afghani food so I can't speak to how authentic it is or how it compares to other Afghani restaurants but without knowing what to expect, I very much enjoyed the food and my experience at Kabul.

The experience is what really makes this small family owned restaurant so amazing. My friends and I were greeted with a very warm welcome from the staff and owner when we came in; joking with us and saying that they would impress us and convert us from first time customers to returning customers.

I do agree with some of the other reviews that price

One of the finest place to have Murgh (chicken) Kabobs. Period.

Their food is very authentic, delicious. It has yummy flavors and aroma. Meat was cooked to perfection. We tried the same dish twice and it did not disappoint at all.

Their appetizers are also very unique. Never seen them elsewhere. We tried Burta and Ash.. Both were equally good. The only tiny complain I have is that all of appetizers are vegetarian. They have good selection of wines. But I think they are bit pricey compared to other restuarents.

Service is good and staff is very friendly. Place is small and cozy but has good

Kind of best experience with worst quality.
The food tastes great but not the quality.

Look at the Lamb chops price.
$35 for 3/4 Rack of Lamb.
Rack of lamb is $12 from Cash and carry.
I know how big the Lamb chops are from cash and carry. ( confirmed that they buy from cash and carry from employee)
When the plate arrived they looked very very small.
Definitely not the quality of the meet u expect from any restaurant.
I personally know how the meat costs and size.

But the food taste is amazing.
All i want is they improve the quality and quantity.

My first taste of Afghan cuisine and probably one that is going to be incredibly hard to beat!
Pros:
Best dishes on the menu:
Drink: Yogurt based drink with mint and spices. (Forgot the name)
Entrees:
Bandejan Borani: Three slices of fried eggplant topped with garlic yogurt and tomato sauce and beef. Flavour in every bite!
You can add a side of basmati rice for 4 dollars more.
Bara Kabab: Marinated lamb with rice. Best Lamb Ever. Period. You can add a slice of Bandejan Borani on the side.
The waiters are friendly and welcoming.

Cons:
The only reason I have reduced a star is because of the price

This place has some great food. I liked everything that I tried and don't know exactly what was in the rice but I loved it. I felt like the price for the kabob was a little high, but I was very satisfied with all the flavors so I decided not to take a star off.
Tip: ask for a taste of the yogurt drink before you buy it. You probably won't like it.

Spent this past weekend in Seattle and it was unbelievable to be in such a diverse city with so many food options. During the trip, I had the opportunity to visit my first ever Afghani restaurant with my best friend who is Afghani. Located in the Wallingford neighborhood, you are immediately greeted with friendly faces in an ambiance that is warm and welcoming.

The menu is fairly authentic and there are many dishes to choose from. I'd suggest going for the 'Kebab for Two' (can be made for more than 2) special to get a sample into what this cuisine represents. This special starts
