The Philadelphia Dentist is located in Northeast Philadelphia at 7718 Castor Avenue, four blocks north of Cottman Avenue and across the street from Rhawnhurst School. Our dental practice is conveniently located about 4 miles from the Northeast Philadelphia Airport. We are on the first floor, and there is metered parking in front of our building and free street parking a little way up the side streets.

Dr. Schriftman is an excellent dentist -- gentle, sympathetic, and very aware of causing as little pain as he possibly can. I'd recommend him to anyone. The office is also clean and comfortable.
So why only 3 stars? Two reasons: First, the emergency dentist designation is a little misleading. If you have an actual emergency after 2 pm Friday through Sunday, you're out of luck. until the following day. Second, while the doctor does great work, his prices are sky-high. A tooth extraction shouldn't cost almost $600 unless it was highly complicated. So one has to temper a good dentist
