When you walk into my therapy office, I focus on your unique strengths and struggles. I will work with you in counseling on the full spectrum of life's challenges. I also specialize in therapy for addiction, substance abuse counseling, and therapy for eating disorders. When we judge ourselves and others, we stay bound to our critical thoughts and stories.
When we can open up to being interested and curious about who we are and how and why we are reacting a certain way, then we can have actual freedom to grow. Judgment keeps us small and stuck. Curiosity allows for growth, generosity of spirit and the freedom to live with less pain. My mission is to help you discover more of who you are and, through counseling and therapy, help you to work toward personal goals to make your life more fulfilling. My focus will always be on helping you to have a fuller, more authentic, creative, productive and spirited life in and out of your relationships.
In my practice as a Psychotherapist, I work with each person from a place of compassion, sensitivity, directness and authenticity, I work to be in the relationship with you as we walk through your issues. Being engaged in the relationship with you, the patient, is the way connection, growth, healing and insight can take place.

I was exceptionally lucky to be introduced to Susan in the early days of my work in the field of addiction and trauma. She is an incredible therapist, whose work demonstrates the highest level of integrity, skill and empathy. As we begin our work together, I will first ask what brings you in right now, what is happening in your life and relationships that inspired you to want this counseling for yourself. As we walk through the presenting issue's I will also ask you for some history from your life. We will explore your family tree, your social life, your work life, your relationships and look for patterns of behaviors and feelings that may show themselves.
