Services
At Bird Pediatric Dentistry, our entire kind and compassionate team is passionate about helping children have the best possible oral health with beautiful and functional smiles. From infancy to adulthood, our team of pediatric dentists and dental professionals are dedicated to ensuring your child has a wonderful experience while receiving the care and education that will start and keep them on the road to a lifetime of excellent oral health.
At Bird Pediatric Dentistry, we understand that it is sometimes too difficult for young children to understand and endure a dental procedure. With the sounds, tastes, and fear of pain often associated with a dental visit, a child can develop negative reactions toward going to the dentist.
Other factors that can cause increased stress for a child include the need for several dental restorations or the need for multiple office visits to complete these restorations. That's why we cater to children's needs, use nitrous oxide (laughing gas) if needed, and offer in-office general anesthesia if necessary.

You are one step closer to finding your child's new dental home! Many children are nervous about dental visits because they don't know what to expect and when you don't know yourself, it's hard to answer their questions. Exploring our website is a great first step. Here is more information to help prepare your child for their first visit to our kind and compassionate team.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children see a dentist no later than their first birthday. This first visit enables Dr. Bird, to evaluate your child's teeth and discuss proper oral hygiene, diet, fluoride, tooth eruption, and finger or pacifier habits with you.
By following this guideline, you and your child will establish a relationship with Dr. Bird, her associate, and our team so you can feel comfortable seeking routine and/or emergency dental care at Bird Pediatric Dentistry as your child ages.Starting dental appointments early will help prevent problems in the future and will help to ensure a positive attitude toward dental care.

My mom and I took my son here for his first checkup at 11 months old. The staff at the office were so warm and friendly. The dental assistants and dentist were excellent. This is an extremely warm feeling place it is the polar opposite of the medieval torture chamber I remember going to growing up. Extremely knowledgeable and great care is provided to the kids.

We used this practice for years and unfortunately we have seen a significant decline in that time. There has been constant turnover in the providers, so my kids have never been able to get comfortable or used to one because it is always someone new. Additionally, I had a billing issue for over a year in which I received a bill for a small amount… with absolutely no details (patient name, service, etc) and despite paying it last November they still sent it every month. I called the billing office numerous times and never get a person just a voicemail. Not once did I receive a call back. It

I'm the parent of that child that really, really dislikes going to the dentist. Not one occasion but as of now two occasions where Bird Dentistry has gone above and beyond. I recently moved both of my kids to a closer dentist and when my youngest was in pain on Friday after hours, not only was Dr. Karen of Bird Dentistry the only dentist to… respond but she reached out on Saturday morning to check in to see if she was ok. On Monday as promised between 7:40-8:00AM, the office called to make an appointment to have 2 extractions completed. As I'm checking out of the office, my child saids,

Do not use Bird dentistry, I kid you not they told me that my 4 1/2 year-old had four cavities that needed to be filled, I decided to go for a second opinion at Laxer, Long & Savage ..... they looked at my daughters teeth and said that was absolutely ridiculous there were no cavities at all, please protect your wallet.

A month ago I posted a good review about the good service done to my kids at their yearly cleaning, and I will keep my words and opinion about the cleaning services but now I have to rate the very bad service and experience I got yesterday from receptionist Gaby, I had some questions regarding my kids bill, I called 3 times in different days to the office billing department and I had no luck getting my call answered, I went to the office personally and both of the receptionist couldn't explain my questions, their arguments were just "the bill is Ok", and as it is for me it is not

This pediatric dental office has changed in the last 4 years, it's a completely different feel now, definitely for the worst. I took my 1.5 year old for his first dental cleaning, and after waiting over 30 min to finally be seen, we ended up leaving without even seeing the actual dentist. Needless to say a toddler doesn't have the patience to wait over AN HOUR to see a dentist! Dr. Bird herself is no longer around, and the substitute dentists they now use instead seriously lack bedside manner, especially what would be expected for a CHILDREN's dentist. Finding a new practice for

First time, new patient; absolutely loved the staff and facility. New patient forms were completed digitally prior to appointment so when we went in, smooth check in process! My son loves his gift baggie at the end, thank you for a great first visit! Totally recommend to all local and non local families!

My two-year-old daughter had to be seen after falling and chipping her tooth. I called the on-call dentist on a Sunday and he was reassuring, thorough and very helpful. I was able to bring my daughter in the next day and they handled everything so well. They are absolutely excellent at dealing with little kids, especially scared ones and they were very thorough and explained everything to my satisfaction. I was really pleased with the care that they gave my daughter. Highly recommended!

Due to Covid, there were some changes in the staff at Bird’s dentistry. My daughter was somewhat skeptical of the change which made it challenging during her visit for a filling. Appointment #1 did not go very well. I was able to speak with Dr West and we rescheduled but this time, I was able to go in the back with her. There was still some uncertainty with my daughter but both Dr West and the nurse was very understanding and accommodating. Thank you so much for your patience and support. It was very much appreciated!!

This place has turned into nothing but a money grab. It's a turnstile of patients with money as the primary motivator above all else. 10 years or so ago there was a good local practice with a feeling of caring from the Doctor whose name is on the building. Now, after multiple expansions into other areas, and multiple doctors being added to the practice it feels like a Cattle call. Today was the last straw. After putting my 12 year old through multiple extractions and retainers because his adult teeth weren't coming in, today his teeth were in pain on both sides and one tooth was loose

We saw Dr. West today to extract 2 incisors and our visit was amazing!! My LO was very scared about it all but once the gas kicked in she was all good to go. The staff were all compassionate and I would definitely recommend this practice to everyone. Thank you for your caring staff, we are lucky to have found you!!

Dr. Bird and Dr. Kennedy have been amazing with my daughters! They were very uneasy about having a filling done. The assistants Michelle and Beidy were so patient and explained everything they did in a way that wouldn't worry them. The front desk made it so easy to set up their next appointments and they even had school calendars available so I could find a day off of school to schedule them. Our experience at Bird was great, we can't wait to be back in 6 months!

We had a great visit this time around!Everything went smoothly, the staff was very nice, the only thing I would recommend for all the dental hygienist in the office to introduce themselves right away to the children so they feel little more at ease.I also felt that the doctor might have felt little rushed when I was asking a lot of questions but it might have been because she had another patient waiting for her right next to us.My children feel very comfortable with the doctor though so we will definitely be back.

I took both my children there after hearing some positive reviews, but this was not my case.
We had a dentist who was newer check my children's teeth after they were cleaned and said my 4 year old and 6 year old both had cavities. I had a really hard time believing this, as we are diligent Brushers and flossers. When I asked if they could show me the cavities in their mouth or x-ray, I was told they were too small to see, but needed to be taken care of ASAP.
I had a second opinion done at my dentist office. They did X-rays and a full overview. No cavities on either kid! I was shocked to
