Don't get the veggie burger. Falls apart. It squeezed out of the bun, from all sides, on to the table. A mess. // Positives: Beautiful, warm decor. Music at perfect volume. Friendly staff. Side salad was good. Cloth napkins.

This was the only restaurant in the area that had an outdoor seating area with heat lamps at 6pm on a Monday. We were lucky we found it. The food was delicious and the service was great. Make sure you order the steak tartare and fried cheese with jalapeno honey appetizers. Neither will dissapoint.

Found this place on on Instagram and the pictures doesn't give it justice. Service was outstanding. My waiter recommendations were spot on. The Drinks was delicious. The steak with the mashed potatoes and gouda delicious. I also tried a fruit platter with fig, amazing!

I went to this restaurant with a $100 gift card I received from Open Table. Because of the prices on the menu, I thought this would be a fancy restaurant, but it's really just a step above a sports bar. At least the "restaurant" side (as opposed to the bar side) has a cute cabin kind of vibe. The food is okay, but I do think it's overpriced for such small portions; my scallops (which were undercooked) came with "brussel sprout shavings," which can't even count as a side. Four of us went for dinner last Friday night. The appetizers were okay, calamari and crab fritters. Two salads we ordered for dinner were Great. Salmon salad and steak salad were really enjoyed. Two orders of stuffed flounder with crab meat. The founder tasted great and cooked perfectly but the "stuffed" part was not really crab meat, it was like a crab cake and like the stuffing you get at Thanksgiving. Thought it was cool that there is an outside area and the decor is pretty rustic. The service and food was a little slow. The quality and taste of food was good, but not filling and kind of pricey.

Farmer's salad - pathetic; mostly greens. Bread - arrived after I finished salad. Burger - dry. Fries - very dark in color, obviously old oil. Service - excellent.

We enjoyed a nice lunch at Pinemoor on a Friday afternoon. We thought the food was good. The complimentary popcorn was a nice touch. The Pinemoor burger was solid (not the best we ever had), but the red wine shallot aoli was delicious. The French onion soup was good, too. The server was quick and attentive. The downside is the prices. The restaurant has very high prices (more expensive than most American casual in downtown DC).

I have been to The Pinemoor 4 times for lunch and once for dinner. The lunch menu is great. I have invited my son their for lunch and he loved it.
Sadly dinner isn’t the same. I live alone and eat alone.
The dinner menu is set up Al la cart. That would be fine but all the sides are priced and set up for 2-3 people. That means $20 for sides to have a complete meal. I won’t be coming back for dinner.

Great vibe and service, but the food I received left a lot to be desired. A friend of mine was in town so we decided to treat him to brunch and this looked like our kind of joint. Very country hipster style.

The service was very friendly and accommodating however, after a very long wait when I finally received my food and it was as cold as an icicle. It wasn't just not hot, it wasn't even warm. Both my sandwich and fries felt like it had been sitting for 30 minutes and no one made sure to check them before it went out.

I would agree with everyone saying this was an "interesting" restaurant, half bar, half tavern, odd decor, very unique though. I felt like I was in a country bar when I went because the playlist was ALL (new) country- I personally loved it. The tables in the back are candlelit, a little much for the first date I was on.

You receive complimentary popcorn, which I didn't mind instead of bread. For dinner I ordered the Pinemoor burger- beef with pimento cheese, bacon, and wine shallot aioli. I thought the burger was a good sized portion (I couldn't finish it) and the side of

The happy hour is a must.
The drinks were strong and tasted great.
The brown Ale butter chicken and Mac & cheese was perfect. Everything was cooked to perfection.

I came for brunch on an early-ish Sunday morning and it wasn't terribly busy. They provided complementary popcorn that was pretty good. I ordered the spicy avocado burger with fries. It was super big and so tasty. Fries were nice and crispy too. I sampled the chicken and waffles from my sister and the chicken was good too. I'd definitely want to come back to try more of their food!

Cute restaurant! Came here for brunch with my sis and niece. My sis and I had the Southern Sparkler to drink... delicious! It had a nice balance of strong alcohol, flavor and refreshment. There's complimentary seasoned popcorn, which I found to be good, but there was too much seasoning. They should scale it back a bit, then it'd be perfect. My sis and I split the shrimp wraps.. delicious. She then got the steak and fries, which she enjoyed. I got the crab and corn chowder.. pretty tasty.

The brunch was so good !! The mini pancakes and chicken wings were such great appetizers! And the food was delicious. The mimosas were bottomless for $5 each rig drinks which was a good price ! One thing they could consider for the patio outdoor seating is a fan because it was getting really hot so tip ladies sit inside if you don't want your makeup sweating

Wow - this place was good! From the food to the service to the country vibe, I loved it. We were lucky to get a Mother's day brunch reservation. I had a very delicious whiskey cocktail. We had the Brie app and it was the perfect mix of sweet and creamy. I had the fried green tomato Benedict, everything was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend had the short rib grilled cheese, which I stole a bite of and will have to order next time. The service was top notch, our water glasses were never empty. We didn't wait that long for our food and we feel the prices were fair given the area. I can't wait to

We loved our experience at The Pinemoor last night! The space is decorated VERY nicely; the interior is very spacious and beautiful with intimate lighting. AMAZING specialty cocktails (we had two rounds!!!) and the popcorn was a great treat. Loved the Nashville hot chicken, saved half for lunch today because it was just that good! The Mac and cheese was tasty as well. The dessert may have been my favorite part! The cheesecake, carrot cake, and chocolate bomba were amazing. We will most definitely be back!

When I first walked in, I was confused. I didn't know if I stepped into a college bar or a tavern. The music was very loud and the crowd was mixed. I was apprehensive. The decor is a western meets rustic meets farmhouse kinda thing. It's interesting.

It was hard to find parking. We were seated immediately for our reservation. Our food was really good. The wings were so delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service. Though we had to speak loudly when ordering, our server didn't miss a beat.

We got the Shrimp & Gouda Grits and the Cauliflower Hash.

The Shrimp and Grits were alright. We had asked the waiter for his opinion on what to get. After his review, we thought it would be a huge dish. It wasn't. The grits weren't fully cooked either. Awful texture.

The Cauliflower Hash sounded like a flavor-rich, savory dish. Goodness is that so far off from what it was. The dish had zero flavor. Even with salt and pepper that I added, it couldn't be saved. The pouched eggs were slightly cold on the bottom and very watery too.

Exceptionally friendly staff with delicious food. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with a side salad and fries and all of it was fantastic. The piece of chicken breast in my sandwich was enormous, and the flavor and pickles were spot on! Highly recommend.

We came here for happy hour and it was a great deal for BOGO appetizers.

Food 5/5: These aren't skimpy appetizers with fried goodies only. The Baked Brie (5/5) and Steak Tartare (5/5) were solid options that can fill you up for a whole meal.

Service 4.5/5 The service was excellent - attentive but not overbearing.
Cleanliness 4/5 I wish we could've seen the patio because I was looking to be outside. Regardless, there was plenty of adequate social distancing inside and the place was following all relevant covid safety protocols.
