Asian Joint is a small family-owned restaurant serving a wide selection of Halal Thai & Chinese cuisine. We focus on the quality of the food and make sure that every bite you eat tastes astounding. You can never go wrong this our Pad Thai. The smell of our Thai Curry is so good, you cannot stop drooling.
Authentic Thai herb red or green curry with coconut milk simmered, and bamboo shoots, chickpea, green pea, and basil. Get it with chicken or beef would be heavenly. We also have Panang and Mussaman Curry. We also offer many delicious Chinese food such as Stir-Fried Lo Mein, Fried Rice, General Tso's Chicken, Orange Chicken, etc.

Absolutely delicious food. Thai is one of my favourite cuisines. I searched for halal thai restaurant and this came up and without further thinking I ordered papaya salad and red curry. They came out beyond delicious. Then this place become our to go place whenever we crave for Thai food. We tried Tom Yum soup, papaya salad, red curry and green curry and all of them are very tasty. Highly recommended.

The food is pretty decent, but overpriced. Last night I ordered a Tom Yum soup & let’s just say things did not smell right. It literally smelled like someone died in my soup, i definitely think the vegetables were bad. The customer service isn’t the best, I feel like the lady in the front is always rude to me for one reason or another. It’s sad because this is supposed to be a halal place…

I went in for the first time today. It's a nice small place, clean, friendly staff. I believe it was the owner who took care of my to-go order; very friendly and we had a quick chat. I like when owners build a relationship with their customers, so it was nice to see that.
I ordered Beef Krapow, Drunken Noodles, and Massaman Curry. Everything was excellent (and halal!). Usually, I'd drive all the way down to Maryland for a halal Thai place, so I'm very happy Asian Joint opened up in the area. I went in with no expectations and I was absolutely more than satisfied with how the food

So I am not sure this really is a statement about this place as much as a statement on how I feel about Chinese food these days. I used to love eating Sesame chicken when I was a teenager and when I was in college. Unfortunately, I probably haven't eaten proper Chinese food in over 15 years. I have had eaten at places like Pei Wei and had Kung Pao chicken. So, this was a throwback to my youth. I ordered a wonton soup and Sesame chicken. They were ok. It wasn't the amazing dish I remembered. Also, I found it a bit too sweet. I think my taste buds have changed. So I don't think I will

Great food! I had Pad Ginger and my husband had General Tsos with white meat chicken. I also got a large wonton soup. We inhaled everything!
Minus one star because I got a large wonton soup, paid ~$8 for it, and it was just over halfway filled. Pretty disappointed because I was hoping to eat it over the next couple of days. **EDIT: the owner was so nice about the soup and rectified the situation! Normally the soup is filled all the way up and I highly recommend it.

So happy to have found a chinese/Thai spot 5mins away. The pad see ew is up to sisters standards. The papaya salad was better than other Thai spots in Fairfax, very fresh with crisp peas and plenty of nuts, nice to get shrimp included with no extra charge.
The star was definitely the sesame chicken! Large juicy morsels, the coating is just right not too thick like other places. I like all the veggies that accompany the chicken to soak up the tasty sauce. We received a trio of peppers, chili oil and chili pepper, but we didn't need due to the perfectly spiciness of the dishes.
I can't

As other reviews noted, easy place to bypass because of the strip mall carryout look. Very good Thai food! We had the crab fried rice and pad see ew and both very delicious. Ranks up there with my favorite Thai restaurants in their rendition. I hope they do well and expand their menu (in particular crispy duck). The papaya salad was also good. I liked how ordering online we could customize our order. My hubby isn't into tomatoes and requested none in the papaya salad.

So... ordered food from here via Yelp.
1. Green curry box - Ahem... All I can say is try not to order this one. It had a strong taste of frostbite and really watery curry.
2. Tom Yum Soup - not better than green curry at all. I would prefer my home made water + tom yup paste from H market.
3. Chicken fried rice was okay. Portion was generous....
Scraping Asian Box permanently from my list for good

Open for just over 6 weeks... this location was taken over by Leo and is a true family operation... I found out his Aunt was the chef in the back.... while this is primarily a take out looking place don't let this tiny looking place stop you from eating in... note there are only three - two top tables...
primarily thai with some chinese staples as a nod to the original location which I learned was the first Chinese place in fairfax county... note they don't serve pork so choices for proteins are chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu. They do have lunch specials but those only run Monday thru
