Omar has been the Chef at Bellissimo since 2004 and the couple and their three children became the owners in June of 2009. The restaurant has been rated highly by Northern Virginia Magazine, The Washington Post, Open Table and Trip Advisor consistently.

I left rather disappointed after my birthday dinner there last night. The restaurant itself is quite quaint and charming. The service, however, was a really downer. The server looked annoyed at us the entire night and even rolled her eyes at me. I had asked for a cocktail and she said sorry the bartender is too busy. I asked for more bread and she said no I don’t have time and walked away. My stepfather had asked for a dirty martini and they brought a gin martini. I 100% recommend this restaurant! It's pretty small but has pretty good eating space overall. It's got a very calm, friendly, and helpful environment to it and the staff are great. The food is delicious too! I had a shrimp dish that was really good and for dessert a ✨magnificent✨ cannoli. Definitely a great restaurant for an "event meal" or date or something.

This is a cozy spot in Old Town Fairfax that my wife and I enjoyed on a recent Saturday. When we arrived for our 6pm reservation we were the only guests there, but it was quickly filling up. Service was great and the food was also. I had the seafood pasta and my wife had the chicken marsala. She cleaned her plate which she never does. Convenient public parking close by. We'll likely be back.

Food was pretty good. The wine was eh. We got the house bottle. The mussels were tasty so was the calamari. Great appetizers to share with the table. I love the bread and Parmesan cheese to start. We went pretty late and they were accommodating. My dish tasted pretty much like butter. The veals were really good.

Fantastic food, beautiful presentation of the food, nice decor, fast service, potential for a cozy, romantic setting. This place has SO much potential all around between the setting and the food. There was one server who was on time with everything but lacked a little personality. The music is on a CD that skips and when it stops playing, no one fixes it so you can hear all of the conversations around you, which is a bit awkward. The waitress didn’t know how to make a dirty martini, but warmed up a little after dinner. Fix the music issues, educate the waitstaff more on cocktails, and add

I have never been to a nicer Italian restaurant. In fact I'd say I've never been to a nicer fine dining restaurant. Not only is the food fantastic, (get the Salmon!!!) they care about presentation and cater to their guests needs before they even know they have them. My water glass never got past half full, I was checked on several times while I devoured my delicious dinner. There was hot tea to warm me while dinner was being prepared and chocolate mouse as a sweet treat afterwards. I live no where near here, but I WILL return.

My husband and I came here for the first time for restaurant week. They only served what was on that menu. We didn’t mind since that’s why we went. They were very busy!! The wait for the food was long but they offered us complimentary Prosecco which was nice of them. The food definitely tasted better than it looked (at least for the app I got)
The staff were very kind!
Space is pretty small but we sat on the wall area which I felt better in because there wasn’t too many people walking by us constantly.
Restroom was also clean which is a plus 👍🏼
