A great home cook and without any formal training, Executive Chef Rosine Najarian brought many of her family recipes from her native Syria and Lebanon when she immigrated to the United States with her husband and 3 children in 1975. With Rosine's love for cooking and her eldest son Hagop's passion for wine, together they opened their first restaurant in 1995 in Anaheim Hills as a small six table Middle Eastern eatery.
Over the years with much critical acclaim for the food, Rosine's philosophy has remained true to its ideals; serving the finest Eastern Mediterranean cuisine with the freshest ingredient.

I ordered side orders to-go to add to own my home-cooked meals. Rosine's famous garlic spread ($7.95) went above and beyond to overshadow all the other foods on my plate! It was excellent just as everyone says, tangy garlicky and cheesy but not too strong. It also keeps well in the fridge for up to a week. With pita bread, it's one of the best things I've ever tasted. You must try it!
I was less impressed by the other dishes. My side of Red Lentil Soup ($5.95) had little texture and tasted like very mild broccoli cheddar soup, and the aschta cream in the small, soggy, slightly stale

There's something about Rosine's! It's laid back, good food and enjoyable. The half chicken was delicious and so were the kabobs. We enjoyed all the sides and warm pita. The best part may have been our server Matt (he had red hair-- in case there's multiples) he was attentive, gave great recommendations and just overall very pleasant. We will definitely be back.

Always the best service and food! Came here for the second time for a day trip in Monterey. Seated for two within 5 minutes of arrival at 5pm on a Saturday. Our food came out super quick, too!! I think it was about 15 minutes total to get our drinks, appetizer, and main dish. Love this place, can't wait to come back again.

Love this place. They're known for their rotisserie chicken (salad/entree) which is always a safe choice, but really everything I've had there is spectacular. I love their cold shareable appetizers! Fresh and delicious.
And Rosine's has the BEST CHEESECAKE I HAVE EVER TRIED IN MY LIFE. I had some with a dessert wine and I'm going to bed happy. Please opt for dessert and try this!! Thanks Lindsey for the recommendation

One of those places where no matter what you get/order, the food will just be good. There are some favorites worth trying, but in general, I haven't found any dishes that have disappointed me.
Let's talk cake, though... Holy cow! They are amazing! Some of them are definitely for the sweet tooth kinda person, but again, all of them worth the try. My favorite, the classic vanilla sprinkle cake.

I will rarely post negative comments about places but when we were first seated we were hit with a very dank, mildew smell like their mops were not clean. It was so strong that we asked to be seated elsewhere & the waiter said that "people always complain about the smell here!". We were moved across the room & the smell was fainter here. The food was ok, we were surprised that the pancakes were almost rubbery & hard to cut & even my bacon took a lot of effort. I could not cut it with my knife & ended up using the blade as a chisel & breaking it into pieces. Disappointing for such a nice looking

Someone had recommend this place to me sometime a go and tonight a friend and I got in the mood for Lebanese-middle eastern food so I decided to give it shut after checking promising Yelp reviews which by the way don't mean much to me (most cases )
As we arrived we were treated and sat right a way.
We order lahmajun, sountzouk and an order of hummus.
We went ahead and ordered the main course since it was close to 9:00 pm, half rotisserie chicken and a kofte kabob.
Here we go
1) hummus was very runny and tasteless
2) lahmajun, you can buy a dozen from this Armenian bakery for $7.00, I paid

I have visited Rosine’s on two different occasions, and they both have been amazing! My family and I were seated almost immediately for outdoor dining which was awesome! The pesto pasta from my first visit was very creamy and the baked potatoes were such an amazing appetizer! I will for sure be returning and recommending this place to anyone that’s looking for a good restaurant in Monterey ✨

Classic spot in Monterrey to dine in. Right in main strip where they have the farmers market. Food portions are HUGE. To say you need to walk it off is an understatement. Came here for lunch and were seated quickly and attended right away. The food was good and more so on the sweet side, especially the sauces on the pastas. So bring your sweet tooth when you visit!
