OMG!!! The tacos were freaking awesome!!! And the prices are an absolute steal!! Seriously, about 6 bucks for a nearly softball sized taco that is so flavorful you have to constrain yourself from inhaling it?!? What I wouldn't give for the metabolism to be able to eat five or six of these at a time...sigh...
The Guacamole is extraordinary, fresh, and tasty.
And the quesidillas simply melt in your mouth.
Great bar, great ambience, and plenty of outdoor seating. Dog friendly, too!
This is one not to miss!

Always a good meal here - this is one of my go-tos when we have visitors in town. The braised beef, tequila chicken, and Al pastor tacos are my favorite (in that order). I've also heard good things from dining companions about the cheeseburger taco, po boy, and potato. Portions are large - I always order my three faves and then wish I'd stuck with two.

Excellent food and service! Stopped for lunch with a friend and had such a great dining experience. The server greeted us with genuine friendliness and that welcoming spirit carried through our whole visit. We ordered some chips and chili sauce for an appetizer and another server brought us a whole additional basket of chips! We both ordered the quesadillas and they were awesome. Authentic and tasty, but I indulged a bit too much on the endless chips!!! We had plenty of leftovers and the server made sure we had a container for each leftover; chips, sour cream, salsa, quesadillas, etc. I will look

I'm shocked at the prices of drinks at this place. I ordered a vodka/cranberry drink (well vodka) and was asked if I wanted a single or double. I asked about the price and she said she didn't know. I should have asked further but didn't - my mistake and I admit that. I told her to go ahead with a double.
In the meantime I ordered the Al Pastor quesadilla. I love Al Pastor tacos. Love the flavors of the pork and pineapple and its tenderness of the meat. This wasn't the case with the quesadilla. The meat was cubed and overcooked and lacked any flavor. Small portion too! The

You simply must try the pulled pork tacos. Or the ahi tacos. Or the chicken burrito. Heck, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu here! And if you're a beer aficionado you won't be disappointed. Easily two dozen beers on tap that will wet any whistle. And to top it off there is outdoor seating right on Front St.

Took my dog on a nice walk around downtown for her birthday when my boyfriend and I decided we needed something to eat. We locked eyes and said "BEER BARRIO". We absolutely love this place and I cannot get enough of their chili cheese dip! Our waitress was so sweet and couldn't stop coming outside to see come and give pets to our birthday girl! For dinner I chose the chicken quesadilla's and my boyfriend for the Carolina Pulled pork tacos. The food and drink menu are all online and I found that easier to look at. This is a great place to get a meal downtown if they are not too

The awful picture doesn't come close to showing the delicious tacos from beer barrio. I'm from KY, but every single time I'm in NC I stop here. The tacos are very reasonably priced, they are just the right size, and dang are they good. I always feel like it's imperative to mention that they have AMAZING queso at this place, and you should definitely try it if you go here. There usually is a pretty long wait and sometimes it's a little unorganized from a service standpoint, but the food is well worth any hassle

A fantastic small Mexican restaurant with friendly, efficient staff. The elote is a must, you might want to order your own. The corn is sweet with a creamy spicy coating. The tacos were loaded with tequila chicken and guacamole and al pastor with jalapeƱos. Fresh and flavorful. My burrito bowl with chicken was light, tasty and the guacamole had fantastic lime and salt levels. Recommended to stop on a regular basis when in Wilmington.

We were visiting Wilmington and I had my heart set on trying these tacos before we left. The tacos look absolutely delicious, but left a little bit to be desired. We ordered the chicken and fish tacos. Maybe we needed sauce or something but felt like it was missing that punch of flavor. You can order different types of tacos, which was nice so you can try different things. They did have good outdoor seating and we did receive good service.
I also love some good Mexican, so I know I'm a more hard critic but wished I left loving these.

Sadly, my love for this place has seriously declined. I kept trying but the last few times we've been here, we've left super disappointed. This time, our beer was just gross. Honestly, we should have sent it back it was that bad. It was warm, tasted old, and the glasses smelled dirty. The food isn't as good either. Sucks. We really loved this place.

My friend and I were down in Wilmington for Fourth of July weekend and went downtown to walk around and find something to eat. We found this little spot. The were not offering dine in at the time but had outdoor seating. It was a hot day so when we asked to move to a table out of the sun, they graciously accommodated. My friend ordered a margarita and I tried a sip of it and was surprised by enjoying it. I normally do not like margaritas or tequilas but theirs tasted so fresh and bright. I ordered the al pastor quesadilla. It had both a soft and crunch tortilla which added a nice crunch but did
