Donatelli's Update: Due to a weather emergency in our restaurant, the restaurant will be opening at 11:30am. You don't "get" Donatelli's until you try it. It's not the homemade pastas and sauces, or the Donatelli Originals or the over-the-top pizzas that make Donatelli's unique. It's a combination of people, amazing fresh foods, generous portions and atmosphere that has evolved for over 40 years.
Top notch staff, they are all warm, friendly, and inviting. Awesome food, most made from scratch. My personal favorite is the Italian Jambalaya, it is so good, the perfect level of heat, and it is a generous portion. They have a nice selection of craft beer on tap. Their ice cream selection is great!

It was 1976. Our country had just turned 200. We land on Mars. One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest won best picture. Rocky became a legend. Apple started in a garage and Donatelli's opened its doors in a small strip mall space smaller than a garage. We started out as a little hole-in-the-wall pizza joint, where friends and family gathered to enjoy great pizza and conversation.
We're that little hole-in-the-wall pizza joint that's been there forever. It's the place your grandparents and parents remember and love. It's the place you take your kids. It's that place that was on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. It's that place where people from out of town always want to go. That's what 42 years of creating homemade food, serving generous portions at fair prices and serving it all with a little laughter gets you.
A fresh iceberg lettuce salad with ham, pepperoni, mozzarella, cheddar, onions, mushrooms and black olives with homemade Italian dressing. Served with your choice of soup or chili. Grilled chicken served upon leafy romaine tossed with fresh Parmesan and delicious creamy Caesar dressing topped with homemade garlic croutons.
Pizza crust covered with garlic butter, mozzarella and cheddar cheese; served with a side of red sauce. Half moon raviolis stuffed with creamy mozzarella, Parmesan and ricotta cheese and coated with Italian bread crumbs fried to a golden brown and served with our homemade marinara sauce. A pile of fries topped with cheddar and mozzarella cheese and applewood smoked bacon crumbles.
Fresh romaine topped with a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheese, grilled chicken, fresh tomatoes and smoked bacon. Served with your choice of dressing. Fresh spinach topped with grilled chicken breast, fresh strawberries, pecans and red onions. Served with a side of fat-free raspberry vinaigrette.

Chris and Trish were so easy to work with leading up to the day of our wedding. They were very accommodating to our needs and requests. The wait staff and the food made our wedding incredible. We had so many guests come up to us afterwards and compliment us on our choice of caterer. The staff moved quickly and efficiently to set and clear plates and dishes. We had absolutely no issues serving buffet food while trying to keep everyone safe. We were able to pick up the leftovers the next day as well, so we got to enjoy the amazing food the week following our wedding. I can't say enough good

Been to Donatelli's many times! We now live out of town and this is one of the spots we have to eat at while we are visiting family. We always get the deep dish taco pizza and it never disappoints! One of the best things on the menu! The Italian fries are not to miss as well! There is some great ice cream if you are feeling that. The malts and shakes are delicious.

What an amazing place! We came here as a group of seven to celebrate my son's college graduation. The food was amazeballs! Huge portions and very fresh. The owner came out and chatted with us, telling us the story of the restaurant, and making lots of jokes. Honestly this is a true gem. Highly recommend!

We stopped at Donatelli's last week. I was very pleasantly surprised. We were there at lunch. I had the lunch special of Spaghetti with meat sauce which was $9.00 and added Italian sausage for $1.00. It was well worth the time and money. Very nice portions and fantastic flavor. My brother in law had the lunch meatball sandwich and my sister had chicken fettuccine alfredo and each dish was very good and good portions. I will absolutely go back and I would / will recommend to to everyone. The service was very good to. Great experience.

My family used to eat in at Donatelli's every week. It was our go-to place for pizza. The food is good, but not great. Most of the servers are terrific and the service is typically quick. For the last couple years, we have mostly done take out, and the results are uneven. Deep dish pizzas can come out perfect, or with a tough overcooked crust, basically a 50/50 shot. Most of the time the food is ready when they tell you it will be, but when it is not - and I don't mean 5 minutes late, I mean 20 or 30 minutes - do not expect the staff to be the least bit apologetic about it.

#1 in MN for quality, large portion, FRESH and delicious authentic Italian food! Feel like I won the lottery discovering this place today! Wonderfully friendly staff, unmatched quality and amazing food! Will be a regular from now on!! Very impressive, in a league of their own that I’ve been missing since the Venetian Inn closed! Ordered Baked Rigatoni (which is not available anywhere else) comes with meatball and garlic toast and French silk ice cream….Absolute heaven

My friends and hairdresser had been talking up this place due to their affordable lunch and excellent pizza. This past week I had the opportunity to try it out and agree the lunch menu has wide choices between $6-10 per person. We tried veal parmigiana sandwich, lasagna, and smoked salmon Caesar salad. One of the big hits was also the junior sundae. Yummy Spumoni. I plan to come back to try the pizza!

Trying for the first time. Haven't eaten it yet, but upon opening the go box, pretty disappointed with the the quantity of lasagna for $14! Looks like more bread than pasta.
All done.... Pasta, and cheese with some tomato meat sauce dribbled over it. What a joke!!!

Seems there is always a wait. The dining room is smaller than their reputation. But it's warm and welcoming. The perimeter of the room is booths with ceiling tall walls in between for privacy. The center of the room has tables.
The food is fresh and tastes homemade. Dinner salad was just lettuce and shredded carrot, but then covered in shredded cheese, homemade croutons, and homemade French dressing. I also ate a sourdough bread stick that was as good as my grandma's.
Beef and cheese ravioli was delicious. I wish they had more filling, this is my only complaint regarding the food.
