MJ's specializes in boutique and unique wedding events. Thanks to our loyal diners who have selected MJ's Restaurant for the OpenTable Diners' Choice Awards for 2021. Our in-house Executive Chef & Proprietor Tad Engstrom was born in Massena, NY and trained at the New England Culinary Institute, receiving on site experience at some of the top resorts in the US, including Boca Raton, FL and Denver, CO.

Since moving to Greensboro, he has worked as the sous Chef at 223 South Elm Restaurant and Executive Chef for Sweet Basil's Restaurant. He has extensive experience in on and off site event catering. In meeting with you, we will customize our menu to you and your special event. MJ's is a locally family owned and operated restaurant inspired and influenced by family, friends, and good food.

The food is world class and the staff is great! Almost everything on the menu is gluten free (even the fried offerings). You should treat yourself if Mom's Coconut Cream Pie is available. So good!

MJs is becoming one of family favorite places to go. We love the dining space and set up for good conversations. The food is consistent and outstanding. Lots of fresh seafood and good cuts of meat. Great drink menu and friendly servers. Highly recommend!

Great service and cozy intimate ambiance. The food leaves a lot to be desired and is underwhelming. The best food here is the pimento cheese. This would make a great place to grab a drink and app, but the entrees need work.

MJ's is my favorite Greensboro restaurant. I have been there three weekends in a row. Nice wine selection but the beer is limited. Bar is quaint and like the table area comfortable. The menu is not excessive but it has fish, steak, vegetarian and specials. Everything is well prepared (except one night I considered the fish a little dry but the sides were superb so I was still pleased) and the wait staff is friendly and capable. Recommend reservations ( and that is a sign of a good restaurant)

This was my first time here and for the menu and the money it will be my last. The menu was not what is listed on Open Table at all. Prices are expensive for what you get. My salad was plain, small and boring. I should have went with my first choice Springhill Restaurant in Winston. Service was great though John was great just disappointed in the food for the price.

Excellent restaurant! MJ's has a great menu, awesome wine selection, tasty cocktails, and a homey atmosphere with high-end service! Our server, Sophia, was on spot! The fried oysters are to die for (they disappeared before I could get a picture)! Shrimp and grits, anyone?! Absolutely yummy! The crab cake and filet dish! Oh dear! Both melted in your mouth with loads of flavor! Filet was very tender. We will be back!
