Many years ago, our family immigrated to America and we decided to set root in sunny Delray Beach, Florida. We opened Hunan Gardens Chinese Restaurant in the 1980's to serve the local community in South Florida. We are a family owned authentic Chinese restaurant. We have been a Delray Beach favorite spot for over 30 years. We value our customers and work hard to offer the best Chinese cuisine that brings comfort and joy to your life.

Wife and I tried this place last week. Spent $98.98 for 2 people. Asked for a glass of ice and manager/owner/village idiot charged us $3.50 for a glass of ice. Section 212.133 of Florida General Laws says if you have a liquor license you cannot charge for water. Oddly, if a restaurant doesn't own a liquor license they can charge for water. This fool has no clue how to deal with customers, hence 3.8 rating and food, at best, mediocre to terrible. RG

I have been to this restaurant many times and I have to say that this is the WORST experience I have ever had in ANY restaurant. The waiter was the worst. Wandering around aimlessly without a clue of how to serve food. Management was made aware and did very little to help the situation. One star is too good for them. The experience was awful. Having a meal out should be pleasant not stressful.

For 20 years it's been my favorite with delicious food and friendly service. The other day. I went with a party of 5. I was seated , then the owner or manager told us to get up . That table was reserved. We were sat there by one of the server's. So we weren't going to move. I asked this manager or owner , " do you want us to leave" ? He's response was unbelievable. He said, " LEAVE". I'm a customer for 20 years and that's how I was talked to. That was the end of that restaurant for us and everyone I can tell about the treatment I was given . The only one I felt bad about, was the waiter who I'm

Highly successful restaurant mainly due to lack of competition. Nice area to eat in. Seemingly very intelligent ownership and management - but mundane American Chinese food that is in my opinion - priced too high.
Good and well run carry out business, but again, average American Chinese food, not always good to the taste buds.

Love the food as usual. Brought my niece and daughter for lunch. Left with full bellies happy smiles and overall awesome experience. A must try if your in the area. It's like a new York style sit down Chinese restaurant. You can treat that even if you tried. You get wontons with duck sauce and tea when your seated. Anything on the menu is fire. No disappointment at all. Get ready to have a good time.

Went with friends who rave about this restaurant. It is very busy but I don't know why.
I ordered the twice cooked pork which they state is spicy, not at all. Came with choice of soup, I ordered the hot & sour, fair, an egg roll, and pork fried rice. My wife ordered the chicken with eggplant, she got the wonton soup, also just ok.
Having lived in the area for over 20 years and never have been, we won't return.
