My wife and I got the 60 min couples massage. We enjoyed our experience. It’s not the fanciest place, looks like a revamped house inside, but the massage was very enjoyable! You don’t leave all greasy or oily. They hit all the knots in our backs and loosened up my calves really well. The staff was very nice and chatted with us while we drank our beverages afterwards. The whole experience is worth the price of admission and we would definitely go back, just be aware it’s not a big fancy parlor.

I think I came by on an off day.
Signed up for a couples massage , they were short staffed and I waited about 15 mins for my Massey us while my partner started getting his already.
The lateness was fine, the thing that was really irritating was the .... massage .
I wanted a 30 minute foot massage, started ok. One of the ladies was going back and fourth from me to my partner until the other masseuse came.
When I actually started getting the massage , it felt like the masseuse just brought her friend for back up .. had zero skill or idea on what to do. When asked for stronger pressure

I had an excellent 90 min deep tissue massage here by Yoshiko. I was able to call about 45 minutes in advance and book a massage when another place canceled on me last minute.
The building is a hole in the wall. I walked right by it initially. You walk in the door, and then you walk upstairs. The room was a comfortable temperature. The massage table was ok. The face hole was to small for my face, so I had a lot of pressure on bony points. The massage itself was fantastic. Excellent pressure, and different technique than I've experienced before.
Overall, I highly recommend Massage and Tea

Very dissapointed. I had been going here for the past few months and it was my favorite place to get a foot massage. I just left and had a terrible experience. They didn't do the head/neck/arm massage, did not do a good job on the feet and didn't even offer water. I asked the lady and she tried to convince me everything was extra (which it is not). Sad to have to find a new place.

Came here with my wife on Mother's day. We scheduled an one hour deep tissue couple massage. This was one of the best massage experiences we've had in our life! We were greeted and welcomed, they served wine and tea at the spa. Therapists checked in to ask what our massage needed, and they were able to apply just enough pressure in the stress areas and continued to check in throughout the session. Their techniques are highly professional! My wife and I left feeling incredibly relaxed and stress free. The spa is very clean, quiet, and calming even in a busy Gaslamp area. We highly recommend

Really nice front desk manager and ladies were nice enough but the massages was not that great or memorable. Foot massage did not hit any sore spots, just a lot of leg rubbing ($29 for 30 mins). Deep tissue massage was with another masseuse and she was better but still did not do it for the shoulders. Her routine on the calves and feet were much better than the foot massage itself which says a lot about the unimpressive foot massage. After been thinking over weeks , I spared some time and went for a hot stone body massage at Massage and Tea in Gaslamp San Diego. It was recommended by a friend. I cannot say enough good experience about this place. Got a foot massage here w my wife and it was A-MA-ZING!!! Not any other place in San Diego can have this kind of skills. They use an ancient and traditional ways to do the massage. To be honest, I've had so many massages in a high end spas and this beats every massage I've ever had!
