This review is based on their customer service. Back in Dec. i called to make rsvps for four in January, unfortunately had to cancel due to one testing positive. I tried to reschedule for the following week but they're booked. The service I received in the 3 times I called have been exceptional customer service. The 3 diff individuals I spoke too were so sweet, nice and understanding. I do look forward to booking with them in the future.

Strange experience here. I'm all for trying new massage places & masseuses plus I'm all about eastern medicine like Chi movement which is what my Knotstop masseuse suggested. I told him my problem areas on my back & he told me he used a specific kind of method in his massages - which is ok but I should've been told that before booking with him. He was groaning the entire time during my massage & saying things like "oh yeah there it is" . It made me uncomfortable. Henry is extremely experienced and knowledgable about the body and is also an absolute pleasure to be around as well. I really enjoyed Henry was very attentive and attuned to my needs and adjusted various parts to accommodate my problem areas and pain points. He knew exactly what my body needed, and I feel amazing after a 90 minute massage. I can’t wait to go back to Henry.

I am new to the area and was in dire need of a massage after having surgery on my hip. I booked an apt that got changed last minute, best thing that ever happened. I ended up getting scheduled with Lynora who is so amazing at what she does. I always leave feeling so much better than I did. She is a lead, so she is a little more pricey, but I promise she is worth it. I have tried to get a massage from a few different others, but the experience wasn't great. Now I will only book with Lynora, which can be difficult since she is so busy.

My skin feels it's best after my facials with Lindsay; she's kind, knowledgeable, and personable. Wouldn't go anywhere else for my monthly facials :-) :-) Ian is my fav for massages.
Also, the knot stop is very understanding and accommodating. They allowed me to pause my membership a few times without any fees or difficulties. 11/10

Gabe has been my massage therapist for a few months now, and he has helped me immensely.
He has helped to release pain and tension from my problem areas (neck, back and shoulders) which has even helped me to regain some of my range of motion.
I have been to many great massage therapists, but Gabe truly stands out.

Sergey is a gem at The Knot Stop. I’ve been booking massage therapy with Sergey for a couple years now, and in my opinion, his rate is a bargain. I’ve only ever received this level treatment at high-end resorts, and paid twice as much for it. His experience is apparent, but I think that kind of sensibility comes naturally. Also he genuinely takes pride in his work, and is very focused and professional, a true master therapist.

I have gotten several 60-minute muscle relief massages here from Sergei and he is nothing short of excellent.
He is very professional, experienced, and is one of the leads at this location. I went in for my first massage after a recommendation from a friend and am now on a monthly plan. I have recommended Sergei to multiple other friends and family members, who all have shared the same opinion.

My co-worker has been raving about this place & specifically massage therapist Jose for 5 years now so when I really needed a massage I heeded her referral and I am so glad I did! My experience here was better than any massage experience I have ever had! The atmosphere & my "runner's massage" was second to none! I'm pretty inconsistent when it comes to taking care of myself with stretching or massage but I've gotten hooked on the Knot Stop's addition of stretching services. They're really more like flexibility training and sports recovery. Adam, who's been working on me, is helping me get greater range of motion in my shoulders, hip flexors and has even unknotted an old injury in my back that I wasn't sure would ever get fixed. I'm a fan. If you are active, this is a great service for improving your overall performance.

I have lived in SD for 7 years. And it took me 5 years to find my regular massage spot! So happy I have finally found it.
I love the Knotstop and especially Sergey, one of the Master Therapists. Sergey does an amazing job asking you about your body pains and adjusting his massage to address the right areas. He also does a great job of knowing how to adjust pressure. I have never had a massage with anyone so incredibly skilled. He also focuses on helping you stretch in order for him to provide a more efficient massage. I always leave feeling relaxed and stress free.

Last night's massage session was THE BEST! Xander really listened to me and my body. I love deep tissue massages and he was able to deliver. Xander released a few knots around my shoulders, lower back, and neck. He used a technique similar to accupunture, no needles, instead using his fingers tip to dig deep into my muscles...I moaned a few times and I was definitely drooling. It felt so amazing around the shoulder blades, down my spine, and the base of my head. If you enjoy deep tissue massages, I highly recommend Xander!

Since making the above review the Knotstop has stopped construction after hours and has reached out to make things right with another massage. The neighboring apartments have slept easier!
From what I understand the issue that I had with my massage has since been resolved according to Jeremy. I'm not sure how I feel about getting massage from a low Yelp review so I declined the offer for another massage.
I am taking Jeremy at his word that they have fixed the problems reflected in the reviews below and I think people who are considering come here should too. If people report the same issue

This review is for my mom because she really wanted to share her experience at The Knotstop but doesn't have a Yelp account. My mom was visiting and was suffering from horrible back pain. She has suffered from back pain on & off for years. I had seen Dan at The Knotstop previously and suggested that she go to him. When she finished the massage, she was so grateful to have gone to Dan as he helped minimize her pain. This is a huge deal and priceless. He actually took her pain away with his massage technique! She also shared that he truly understood her pain and that in itself was wonderful

This is a really nice place to go for ME Time. The place is beautiful and has a relaxing vibe. The staff is friendly and professional.
Jose was a great massage therapist. My friend and I scheduled back to back sessions. She was really happy with the massage. My only complaint is he was a good conversationalist and the session was only for an hour so I didn't quite get to zone out. Definitely getting a 90 minute session next time.

The massage was fine, but it was hard to tell what the goal of this place is. My massage therapist (wouldn't really call him a masseuse) said the purpose was "not relaxation" but being that I didn't get much long-term relief from the session, I don't know if I'd go back. The first session was discounted so I felt it was reasonable at that price.

5+ stars would recommend experiencing stretch therapy at the Knotstop! Some self-care days I stretch myself, and some days I receive an assisted stretch and what a game-changer for my flexibility. There are stretch positions that can only be achieved with the help of the knowledgable stretch therapist staff here at the Knotstop!

Friends, if you're looking at these reviews.... Just go! I couldn't ask for a better experience. Tonight I had a 90 minute relaxation massage with Ian, and it was honestly the best massage I've had in SD. I don't like Asain style massages and I don't enjoy having elbows jabbed into my back with unbearable pressure. I communicated that before we began and I was in bliss the entire time. The amenities and spaces were very clean, well lit and the front desk staff were so kind and.... Well, welcoming. Hopefully this gem sticks around!

I have been going here for many years. I am very satisfied with booking, the front desk staff, the cleanliness and the anteroom with relaxing music and seating. Sergey has been my therapist for the past year or so and he is fantastic. I think he is the best I've found. Good pressure and overall feel very relaxed after the session. The only downside of my massage is when it ends and I have to wait for my next session!
