Amazing!!!! My girlfriend surprised me with a 1.5 hour massage after the half marathon. The staff was super accommodating. When I told them I just ran the marathon my therapist concentrated on my legs and shoulders. Took out all the knots and tight muscle fatigue! Also in the middle of the session I got a cramp on my left leg. She immediately grabbed my leg and held it in a position to prevent any more pain. Then proceeded to work out my calf muscle with hot stones and oil. Amazing place. Definitely recommend!

My wife and I had our first Thai massage at the Bangkok Day Spa. We had a couples massage and thoroughly enjoyed it. They were very communicative and always checking in on the pressure. They were very good and you can’t beat the price. Highly recommend!

I promised I'd give a 5-star rating when I found one equivalent to my favorite in Japan. This place is it! Been there twice now, both times were great massages. I'd suggest getting the hardest pressure you can tolerate - it helps blood circulation, which promotes healing. I highly recommend this place!

My fiance & I had a Thai couple's massage today & it was fantastic! 60 min for $60 each. The 2 ladies did such a good job & we both felt so refreshed after. They did a nice amount of stretching & massaging. Our backs even cracked a bit! The place was clean & the ladies were all so nice. We would come back here again :)

I have had a few great massages at this place. It is clean and they have real separate rooms and it is quiet. It is not a beautifully decorated place but it is fine. I found the masseuses fo be very professional and respectful. We paid $90 for a 60 minute couples massage so clearly a great deal. If you are getting a Thai massage, leave your underwear on unless you don't mind being naked and moved in all sorts of positions ;).

Super professional, asked me questions to get to know my pressure, pain areas, etc. communicated during the massage to make sure I was good. I had a girl named Moon and she found spots super quick that were knotted and was able to release the knots pretty quickly without much pain. Usually those spots I can't even bare having people press on. Very relaxing, comfortable, and professional.

Highly recommended. I visit once or twice a year when working at the convention. After standing for 8 hours a day, a massage is much needed, especially for the feet and shoulders. I had the fortune to visit a few years ago and have been coming back since. Walking distance from hotels and the convention center.

She instead just came in and began lightly rubbing me. When I asked what was going on, she than chose to intentionally dig into sensitive parts of my body. It’s hard to find a good massage, it’s kind of a shot in the dark when you go someplace new, but Bangkok Day Spa did not disappoint. Staff was friendly and my masseuse was a veteran. She (Lily) adjusted and applied the right amount of pressure throughout the massage and I left feeling very refreshed. Would go back!

We came in early the day of and we used the restroom and they took us in right away. We are not used to Thai massages to it was painful but the therapists knew what they were doing, cracking our backs and doing deep tissue and pressure massage that I was not expecting. It was hard on the body but they knew what they were doing. We live out of town though but we will likely come try them out again next time we visit SD.

I've gotten deep tissue massages from countless of places in San Diego. Tonight, I just walked away from the worst. Sad thing is, it was a gift from my hubby for Valentine's Day. We ordered a deep tissue massage for both of us. When he finished, he met me outside because I sent him a text saying "ill be downstairs I'll explain later". Let me tell you why.

Amarin at Bangkok Day Spa is such a sweet soul & she does wonderful massages. She also offers reflexology and in addition has much knowledge in acupressure. I highly recommend Amarin, always helping others feel their best.

My sister and I are visiting the area for the weekend and chose this place based on the 4.5 star rating. They have discounted options on Groupon that's made it even more attractive. Before purchasing the Groupon I called for availability and was happy to hear they were able to take us within a couple hours and they would be willing to honor the Groupon price.
Let me also preface this by saying that I have had hundreds of massages in my life. I come from the spa industry

What an experience!! I sent a message through Yelp for a same day couples massage and the owner responded in a matter of minutes!!
Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The room was a good temperature, clean, and relaxing.
Our masseuses: Elle and Lydia were fabulous!!! They asked us how much pressure before beginning and to let them know if we needed any adjustments. They both paid attention to our problem areas that we filled out on our charts upon arrival. We experienced Thai and hot stone massages and both were amazing! They did not cut us short on time or rush us afterwards.

As soon as I arrived for my initial appointment, the lady at the front desk took me directly to the room to get undressed. There was no introduction, no paperwork, and she did not even ask me about any specific problem areas. At one point, she started using hot stone which helped to mitigate my sore muscles. I felt that she didn't really incorporate many Thai techniques; it felt much more like a Swedish massage. She did stretch me for about a minute towards the end and gently pounded on my back

- It looks a little grungy from the outside, and it's a dark stairwell leading up. Once inside, it was very clean. My bf and I went to San Diego. We love hiking wandering around. We decided to walk around downtown and stopped by this massage place. The service was excellent. The therapists are so nice and friendly. We got a couple massage room. I recommend call and book ahead of time because they can be fully book for the day. We were lucky that the owner let us do the last hour before they closed. It's the best Thai massage I've ever had. And the price is not bad at all.
