I've been going to this gym for about two weeks now. I was used to commercial gyms before here. It's honestly been such a great experience! The staff is very welcoming and always available to answer any questions. The equipment and machines are all well kept and clean. I will say this, it can get a little crowded during busy hours because there isn't a ton of space, but overall it's a great place to workout. Also, if you are a serious power lifter, I would say this probably is not the place for you as there aren't any platforms to my knowledge and there is only one full rack. However, if you are

I’ve been to many gyms in Denver and nothing compares to Denver Gym & Fitness. The staff and owners are always welcoming, friendly, and willing to provide fitness advice. A great equipment selection with no wait to use. You won’t find a better gym in Denver.

The gym was fine, but I axed my membership when they decided to change locations - without telling me when I first joined! Within two months of joining, they moved half a mile away, and refused to refund any charges associated with moving.
I would not have joined if I had known this, and paid the ridiculous $60.00 initiation fee that the awful manager (Kelly or Karen? Likely a Karen in more ways than one) refused to refund.
Not only that, this woman hung up on me when I asked her about getting my initiation fee back.
So I essentially paid $180 for 2 months at a kind of an ok gym (no showers

Decent, smaller sized gym with basic equipment to get a workout done. This gym is definitely more geared to someone wanting the basics, as that’s what it offers. The showers aren’t in use, you can’t refill your water bottle and during my visit- the toilets didn’t work.
Very friendly staff, just wasn’t the gym for me.

I don't like leaving reviews but I specifically asked if there would be any other fees when I signed up during a $100 special in September because I saw a $19.99 annual fee online. I was told no. Fast forward to today when I was randomly charged $19.99. The $60 I'm paying per month should be more than enough for what they're offering.

I like this little gym (have been a member for a year) and I would give five stars if they were open later. They close at 10 pm during the week and 6 pm during the weekend. If you work unconventional hours of have a slammed schedule their hours aren't accommodating. For the price of $60 per month they should be open later!

It's so sad, because this gym USED to care about healthy change for it's members, and in turn over the years I had referred over 6 people (at $55/month, that's a huge lifetime value). Now I highly recommend NOT joining and instead going to your local rec center for $20 a month.
I have been a member at this gym for over 5 years and I am so so disappointed with the new owners. There used to be these amazing classes offered at the gym 3 mornings a week. Usually there were 5 or 6 folks there and it was a great workout.
When the new owners took over, the stopped the classes saying

Denver Gym & Fitness has been a great place to belong- it's never too crowded, always clean, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. While they don't have a huge class offering, I've taken a few of the classes and they've always been good. I just had to cancel my membership as I'm going to be traveling for the next several months and I'm sad to go.

I absolutely love this place. Great price, beautiful equipment, rarely crowded, and a staff that takes the time to learn your name and ask you about your day. Such great customer service here, and the trainers are fantastic.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a premium gym experience at an affordable price!

I've belonged to this gym now for about 6 months & my #1 FAV thing about it is the yoga instructor, Cassandra! Holy ZEN If you're anything like me, Core Power just isn't your favorite style of flow. I like my practice to work on more than just the physical & Cassandra really knows how to bring that out. And she does a GREAT job of breaking down moves for new folks.... like she's been teaching for years. In my opinion, what makes a good yoga instructor is one who truly cares about their students' OVERALL well being. Cassandra IS THAT & has a beautiful balance

I work at a fitness gym here in Denver and was looking for a gym, away from work, to stop in on my way into work without gimmicks or a high price. I live down the street from this gym and figured I would take them up ok there free offer to stop in and work out for free.
Seems simple enough. There is a 50 dollar sign up fee. Then 59 dollars a month. There is also a 20 dollar one time yearly gym maintenance fee charged within the first month. Overall, I walked in, spent 109 on my first month and will be charged the additional 20 in the next month. No hidden fees. No sales approach. I was signed

Updated review:
Uh, wow...apparently I've been a member here for 5 years so an updated review is warranted.
Since my last review, DG&F has added:
-Another squat/power rack!
-3 Concept Rowers
-Updated Cardio equipment
-Updated Strength equipment
-Updated "spin" style bikes
I still highly recommend this gym to anyone in the Baker/Cap Hill/Wash Park neighborhoods that doesn't want to succumb to the hell that is 24 Hour Fitness or shell out $100/month on a Crossfit membership. (If you want to pay me to yell at you for an hour while you perform high frequency olympic movements

I should preface my review by saying I'm not a member of this gym, so I can't speak much to the price vs value of a monthly membership. I tried this place after waking up with a long-ish run on the to do list and realizing it was a balmy zero degrees out in Denver. I scrolled through my Classpass app and realized that Denver Gym & Fitness offers an open gym hour as a class option, so I decided to take the warm route and snag a treadmill. In addition to being thankful for not having to run in arctic-like temps, I really dig this gym! What I liked:

The gym is nice and clean and there is a good selection of equipment. I go with Classpass and they are always welcoming when I come in. So far, I have just used the cardio machines but it looks like there is a good selection in the weight room and some good class options. Parking is easy. From reading other reviews I was concerned about the crowd, but so far it hasn't been an issue at all.

I've been a member since January, and am so happy with this gym! I've been doing personal training with Katie, who is insanely knowledgeable, motivating, and open minded when it comes to personal goals and different body types. Trent, the manager, has been nothing but helpful and communicative.
No judgment, no dudes in tanks grunting loudly, and no crowded machines. Couldn't ask for more!

I had a year contract with this gym starting in February of 2014. I am not one of those gym people that buys a membership and does not go. My membership ended in February of 2015 almost 9 months ago and the company kept billing me the $45 membership.
Why didn't I pick this up earlier? I will tell you. The company that they bill from is called ABC financial. On your statement it will say ABC Denver Gym. I am a member of the Denver Recreation Center. I assumed this monthly cost was from Denver rec. So when I called to complain to Denver Recreation they informed me that the charges were not

I hate giving bad reviews, as I really like the location and size of this gym.
First of all, let's start by saying that for a single woman going to a gym for the first time with the single purpose of doing weights it can be a bit intimidating. People feel free to give you unsolicited and conflicting advice, there is a sense of impatience while you're figuring out the machine... this is all gyms. I was counting on my free session with a trainer to navigate the free weights, check my form and knew I would have the confidence to continue my personal training plan from there.
