Dorothy definitely made me feel human! She was so patient & understanding (especially when we would need to pause to nurse a baby, or when I was super pregnant & not moving as easily!) & reassured me that I was not the only one with little wild things. She let them be them & somehow still managed to capture great photos!

I loved how everything was organized in the studio and everything was set up and ready to go before we walked in. It made me feel more comfortable that we went over everything before beginning. I think the preparation of everything made the shoot go very smoothly. I was amazed by Dorothy's experience and ability to soothe my baby.
As a first time mom, I was nervous to hand over my two week old little girl. But once we arrived at the studio, everything was at ease and comfortable. I had no worry at all. You handled her with such care and patience that I was able to sit and enjoy watching you both work together. Newborn Sessions typically last between 3 - 4 hours in Dorothy's Dayton, Ohio studio.
I felt reassured during my maternity shoot. It was a very special milestone in my life but I was still not very confident with my new body. I felt so beautiful, even in some poses I wasn't so sure about. I felt so beautiful and in touch with my baby and body. And of course, all of my pictures turned out phenomenal!
Milestone sessions are held in Dorothy's Dayton, Ohio studio, generally last about 45-60 minutes. Your session is designed to let your little one have fun! Your cake smash session includes milestone photos prior to the smash. After the smash, Dorothy will capture images of your baby in a bubble bath to during clean up if desired.

Dorothy is absolutely incredible! She styled the entire shoot and made us look and feel amazing. I have a print off my son and I next to my work computer so I can see it everyday. They are the most beautiful photos and I'm so lucky to have met her. She's not only professional but so easy to talk to. She made us feel super comfortable from start to finish. I can't express how much I appreciate her attention to detail. She's phenomenal at her craft and worth every penny and some!

We found Dorothy after searching for newborn photographers in Dayton and we are SO glad she was available! Communication was super quick and easy. The photo shoot was so comfortable and our 10-day-old had an amazing time with Dorothy! She handled him so well and he seemed so happy the entire morning. She offered some free hair and makeup services for our family photos and they look FANTASTIC! I am so glad she talked us into doing those. She was incredibly professional and safe with plenty of health-precautions. Overall amazing experience and I will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives

We have worked with Dorothy since our impromptu maternity session in 2018 that I honestly wasn't even sure I wanted initially with my first pregnancy and the rest is history! She has done so many sessions for us from maternity to fall family photos to a full extended family session with the grandparents/kids/grandkids and not to mention watch me grow collections for both of our kids! Dorothy is such an amazing photographer and professional. I'm a makeup and hair artist and I've worked with her on my branding sessions as well as been one of her go to artists for her client sessions so I've been on both sides of the camera. I spent 2-3 days searching for the perfect photographer for my newborns first pictures (since the hospital did not do any). I was very hesitant to get pictures taken because of covid, but Dorothy was very safe and made sure that both mom and dad as well as baby were protected and safe during the whole session.
