We tried Andrea's as it was the new restaurant on the block. The service is great. Unfortunately, the food was lacking in both quantity and quality. I ordered the lamb gyro plate, But it only came with four little cubes of lamb with green peppers sprinkled in. But, I am hopeful for the future of this restaurant

I've posted five star ratings regarding Andrea's in the past. There are only two other options for good Greek food in Providence and they're both a joke.

My experience here today, however, was regrettable. I ordered the Souvlaki Lamb Platter. I got the Gyro Sandwich. The quality was excellent, but, bottom line, there were three or four small chunks of Lamb in that sandwich.

That sandwich, with the salad it came with it, plus a Diet Coke hit $19. I feel like I just got ripped off.

Needed to find a quick brunch near Brown, and landed on Andreas as an option. Overall, really excellent food and service.

I ordered the 237 omelet which came with a bagel and house fries, which tasted like a home cooked omelet. Unfortunately the only hot sauce they had was tapatio, and they didn't have salsa but the ketchup worked!

Another friend ordered eggs Benedict and the yolk was completely raw, and it fell out of the poached egg. She did like the hollandaise sauce and the house fries though!

My friend ordered a gyro off of the lunch menu and luckily she really enjoyed it. So much

I absolutely LOVE Andreas. Ive been coming here with friends & family for about 14 years. I wish they posted their cocktail menu online because they carried this drink called Bug Juice & would always get a pitcher of it to share for the table. Great food & service. I'm so happy they're having a re-opening & survived the pandemic. But if anyone has the recipe for their bug juice cocktail...I'm all ears! Haha

I came here for my birthday celebration. The service was extremely slow. Never came to refill waters. Food was okay and portion very small. It took 40 minutes for the server to let me know the dessert I ordered was sold out. Other tables getting waited on without issue. Mentioned to the manager and I was laughed at. Is that what a paying customer wants?! Manager told me you gotta do what you gotta do. There was no offer of a free birthday drink. I would not recommend coming here.

Outdoor seating, authentic Greek food, somewhat pricey but good portions. Extra tzatziki sauce is a must!

I ordered Mediterranean Seafood Stew. As for my entre, I ordered siliron steak sandwich with side salad. I loved my steak sandwich and the side greek salad was the best Greek salad I’ve ever had. Ms. Brittney was very polite and delivered a great service to our table.

I ordered the filet mignon from here and specifically asked for it to be done medium rare and I must say, I was very disappointed. The chef that cooked my steak has no business cooking a steak whatsoever. Being that this is one of my favorite foods, the meat was way overcooked & was the least pleasing filet mignon I ever tasted. It was super dry & tasted a bit like flame oil. The island style mussels, drinks and the customer service are very good though. The waitress was understanding when I expressed my displeasure. I will still give this restaurant another chance but not anytime soon

Really disappointed: service was nice but the food is terrible. We took the restaurant week menu for lunch: salads were more sauce than salad, moussaka was greasy and not tasty as all, and the baklava have cinnamon in it ! Yes we are in the Us but not every dessert needs cinnamon, especially not Baklava... not at all a Mediterranean restaurant

Not impressed with their takeout service. Both times in the last 5 weeks we have gotten home and had to return due to a missed meal. Both times, no compensation, not even an apology.

I understand in this trying time things can get overlooked, however, don't offer a service if you can't follow through.

Will not order takeout there any longer.

I had not been to this restaurant for several years and I don't know why not. I think maybe I don't tend to go up in that area as much anymore but this is well worth the trip. We went for a late dinner after the Providence Ghost Tour which we thoroughly enjoyed. We met friends as we were walking into the restaurant and joined them for a nice dinner.
The restaurant is always clean warm and welcoming and the service is excellent. The servers are efficient and knowledgeable and very friendly. I wish it had been a little bit warmer out because I would have loved to have sat outside and people

Sunday Sunday and all is well here at Andrea's!
The burgers are what we came for, although I never had one Steve boasts on them. I tried the Swiss with onions and mushroom. It look good when it came out but when I tasted it, it was charbroiled! It didn't say it on the menu or else I would not have ordered it. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. She didn't want me eating anything I was satisfied with! So I ordered the Marathon lamb chops. Let's see.........now that's a sandwich! All meat! Tender and juicy. Better choice for me.

I though Andreas was as good as if not a bit better than a lot of the tourist restaurants that I visited in Greece recently. My luncheon companion and I split a saganaki appetizer followed up by kefta for her and grilled octopus for me with a salad on the side.
Lunch was great. Service was excellent and professional. I thought Andreas is a very good smattering of Greek in Providence.

I have only been back to Andreas Restaurant at 268 Thayer Street in Providence RI 1 time since 1980s when in college we would go frequently
Happy it has retained its charm and solid , well presented dependable menu with affable service - except for a bit too heavy on the sauces and salad dressings.
The owners - less two obnoxious son-in-laws - seem to have maintained a wonderful 53 year+ tradition ....

Wandering around the street looking for a place that had outdoor seating for lunch. Hadn't had Greek food in a while, which brought us here on a Memorial Day afternoon.

After getting seated, waitress comes by and hands the menu and leaves an iPad as well. At first I thought it was by mistake, then realized we are supposed to order drinks from here. Decided on an IPA ($6.50) to go along with the Lemon Chicken ($16.50). Unfortunately they were out of lemon chicken, so had to quickly order something else and settled on the Chicken Gyro ($14.50). Gyro is a handful of diced chicken, a side of

How I love this place so much . Can I start with their pitcher of sangria . If your a sangria lover like me you must come get a pitcher with your girls with the big platter which fed the 5 of us for only 22 dollars that by the time the food cane we were all stuffed. This platter comes with different assorted meats pita bread hummus , lamb, chicken , and so much delicious flavors .

You won't be disappointed all of Andreas dishes are amazing without breaking the bank. And let's not forget their new look after the renovation . It looks even nicer inside and has alittle back area for larger

The avgolemono soup is worth the visit alone. It is delicious and rich and lemony perfection.

The burger that I had was tasty and my dinner partners kabab was very good as well, but we're still raving about the soup.

The atmosphere is typical of Thayer Street on a busy Sunday afternoon. The service was pleasant and fast.

I would like to update my review based on my most recent experience, and especially thank the staff for such a great evening.

First of all, Andrea's was open on Thanksgiving, which is a rare find, and for more than the minimal hours of 2-6pm...I believe it was full service of 11am-11pm. They offered a traditional thanksgiving 3-course meal (and this is a Greek place, so they're catering to the needs of the holiday) for $38. **I think $35 would have made it seem like a better deal, but they offered a $12 bottle of wine, so I suppose they were going for an even $50. We ate here over the summer, and it was fantastic! I cannot wait to return to this cute Greek restaurant on Providence's bustling and trendy Thayer Street. We were lucky enough to get an outdoor table for prime people watching on the late August evening, and if you dine here in warmer months, I would highly recommend sitting outside!

I got the swordfish, which was the most perfectly cooked fish dish I've had in recent memory. Tender, flavorful fish poached in olive oil over a bed of creamy chickpeas and caramelized onions.. so good! I also had a cup of the avegolemono soup as a starter

Andreas has been on Thayer Street for quite a while. They serve greek food and their waitresses and staff are really nice. They recently renovated the entire inside as well as extended it to a very warm brick room dining area. I'm a big fan of their baklava. They also have a bar which is small and cozy and offers a variety of cocktails and beers. Easy to spot on Thayer Street and definitely a restaurant to stop by and have some food.

Amazing food. Superlative service! I like it when staff all work together to bus tables, deliver food, check in on you, etc. instead of you having to wait for "your" waiter. We'll certainly be back 😀

Came here for the first time in very long time - we're talking prob a decade - still didn't leave a lasting impression. The place just went under some renovations due to some weather damage and newly reopened. We got there for dinner on a weeknight (it's Thayer Street, so street parking or I saw on their website you can park down the street at a lot for free with validation). We opted for a booth, umm I sunk so low into the booth chair I felt like I was touching the ground. There were only 2 seater booths left so that's what we took - if I had known how cramped they were I would

Andreas is one of those spots on Thayer Street that always looked pack, no matter the time of day.

The interior spaciousness is the size you'd expect at a diner, but there is a classier vibe. I'm usually more of a brunch goer, but my favorite dish from their normal menu would probably be the Moussaka. Their Moussaka is layered with minced beef, cheese sauce, eggplant, and potato which makes it taste like a more tomato based Shepherd's pie. My favorite time to go to Andreas is probably brunch starting 10:30AM on Saturday and Sunday. Andreas may be a Greek restaurant, but their mascarpone

The server was great, I like the uniforms and the servers are very attentive. The food was quick and the location is nice. You can eat outside if you want. Had a great time and will be back again.
