Sakura is my fav sushi in Providence hands down. Quality of the food is great and you really can't beat the prices compared to other sushi places in the area. I hope to see them open indoor dining back up soon, I miss it!

Good sushi however not worth the terrible service. Staff is probably the rudest staff I’ve ever came across. They speak to you as if you’re not paying for your food. They rolls their eyes and look and sound annoyed when asked questions. The dining isn’t open yet and the outdoor tables are all taken up by delivery drivers. No consideration to customers at all. Would never again spend a penny at this business. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, there’s more sushi places in town.

Great tasting sushi made with quality fish, very fresh ingredients, and not too much rice! Ordering takeout is easy, pick up has greatly improved and is also quite simple these days.

Loved them pre covid, during covid they've shut down their dining room and have window service. The wait can range anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and 45 minutes. Super disorganized and it feels like they are always forgetting something.

Would recommend calling in when you order and confirming the wait, I made the mistake of ordering online this time and really regret it

Take out seafood soup... $8.50 really? Came in the same size container as Miso soup... which is free with an entree and $2.50 a la carte. And there wasn't even a lot of seafood in it!! I called to ask if it was a mistake... it was not. Ridiculous! Their sushi is good... so I guess I'll just have to stick with that.

Wow! What a good sushi place! We had avocado, mushroom, and yam rolls. So delicious! The rice is very tasty. The best sushi I've had in town.

We had our weekly sushi rush hit us and we decided to try something new. Im not usually one for anything new when it comes to sushi, but i let the misses talk me into this one. I was not disappointed. We ordered a miso soup, I love you roll (no pun intended) and I got the sushi and maki combo.

Everything was pretty good and fresh tasting. The soup was one of the best misos in the area snd the sushi was good sized and well presented! Overall, I would venture back.

We came here for dinner on a slower Sunday evening and so we were seated immediately. The service was fast and friendly. The menu has your typical assortment of Japanese appetizers and protein entrees as well as sushi/rolls. There's a separate paper menu for basic rolls, that you mark with a pencil, and the fancier chef special rolls located in the main menu.

They really earn their 5 stars on their special chef rolls. They are reasonably priced considering they come in sets of 10 (2 more than the usual 8-piece). I ordered the Crazy Roll and the Out of Control Roll and they melted in my

I'm surprised. Usually, this is my go-to place in Providence for sushi (service is fast and staff is friendly) but this time I was not impressed. It was pretty packed when we got there, but we were seated pretty quickly - in the back where we always like to sit - but our server took FOREVER to come over. We had a bottle of wine we'd brought but we couldn't open it because we didn't have any glasses to pour it into. We finally got our water, then the waiter took another 5 minutes to come over with the glasses.

We then got our menus and we waited - no joke - 20 MINUTES for the

Nice and clean place, friendly stuff. Good sushi. BUT no kids menu??? Seriously??? No apple and ANY kind of juice but cranberry?? We asked to add a pat of butter to the rice we ordered for the baby and our waitress said they had no butter. Come on!?

I always love it here. Great food waitress was nice. We ate on the floor for the first time it was fun. My only complaint was I reserved a table for 8, they said okay we will seat 8 then put us at a table for 6? We just squished but it was definitely annoying.

Came here for dinner on Fourth of July, luckily was one of the few places that didn't have a wait. There's a table seating area and also an area where you can sit on the floor.

Got miso soup, edamame both of which were good. Also got the pork shumai which was bigger than most places though it tasted pretty good. Chicken teriyaki was somewhat dry and not tender. Their yam roll and cucumber avocado roll were pretty good but their fire roll wasn't that great.

Overall decent experience. BYOB place and there's a liquor store nearby on brook street. Service was ok. Prices are

This was the place where my sushi journey begin. The first time I had sushi was here and I love their rolls. The special rolls are unique and cannot be duplicated (I've tried to have a place closer to home make the Samurai roll, it didnt work). Anytime I am in Rhode Island I make sure that I stop there. It's a very small restaurant but their rolls are excellent! I would definitely recommend it!

Great sushi for the price. Each standard roll is about $4 or $5 (fancier rolls are more expensive), so you could get 4 rolls for about $25. Sushi is good, not spectacular, but definitely worth the price. Space is intimate (though can be a bit too small if you wind up sitting next to another group who is talking somewhat loudly... which can make for an awkward dinner spent trying to not ignore the loud conversation). Pretty quick service.

First things first, you can bring your own booze and wine to this restaurant. So of course, I already instantly like this place. It's dimly lit and sometimes noisy.

Surprising large place with seating and space. Parking is also pretty nice in the back. I have been a couple of times and every time the bathroom is tidy.

They have good sushi and also very good tempura. Soup and salad are just ok. Service is ok. Rolls are decently priced and not too special, but they are good.

I've been here for years since I was a student in Providence. After trying sushi in many places when I moved, I still have to admit the sushi here is exceptional compared to elsewhere😋. However🤔, it seems they changed the ownership or management because last time I was there, the service quality was horrible😰. The about-to-get-old lady there behaved like she hates her job😢. No smiles🙁, no attention☹️, and lies to customer😖. As a restaurant owner myself, I do know how restaurant works😎.
Besides that, the sushi were still excellent! 👌

I was looking forward to having lunch here. It looks nice from the outside but when you walk into the front entrance it is shared with tenants on the second and third floors. That part of the restaurant was dirty and not very welcoming. The layout is awkward as others have described. We were seated at a table across from the sushi bar.

Service was fine but there were 3 of us and 2 of us were served our lunch order but nothing for my daughter. We waited, shared our meals and finally waved down an employee and she just said that they are working on it. When we finished our meals my daughter finally

I recommend the Unagi. It was wonderful! The dinner packages including salad and miso soup. I particularly like the salmon sashimi, it's so fresh and good price. You can even enjoy the authentic tatami room. BTW, a big parking lot here.
