She is a native of Dearborn, Michigan, but loves calling the Pacific Northwest home! She moved to Salem, Oregon shortly after graduation, and practiced there for 13 years before moving to Seattle in 2008. She opened Caring Pet Clinic (previously Companion Pet Clinic) in 2011. She shares her home with Perry, Perry's feline friends, and her husband.
At Caring Pet Clinic of Seattle, we provide a range of services to help keep your pet happy and healthy. We provide fast and gentle treatment for your sick animal and all follow up care as needed. Limited same day or short notice exams may be available for an additional $10.00 fee for urgent cases. Washington State Law now requires a rabies vaccine for all cats and dogs over 6 months of age. Prices are for surgical procedure alone. Additional cost is associated with bloodwork, fluid support, medications, etc. PETS OVER 8 YEARS OLD REQUIRE BLOODWORK AND IV FLUIDS.

This place. The people that make this place what it is. Are THE MOST caring and Warm people! Not to mention are so good at what they do. We've been taking our Berne's Mt. Dog, Moose, here for a little over 1.5 years and I will never turn back -and that's saying a lot because I am now located on the island of West Seattle-. As over run the vet clinics in our area are right now, they always find the time to respond to your concerns. Even if it is saying "hey honestly we can't see him in time, take him here or here If possible." Or on the other side of the coin knowing

Super nice and welcoming clinic. Currently doing pet drop offs for the appointments but was awesome getting a call soon after the appointment to schedule a pick up time for my sweet little pupper. Gave me updates throughout the day as he went through his appointment and you can tell the staff here care. Easy parking, papers to fill out and overall awesome experience. Loki will be back for his 16 week appointment and will be excited!

The staff member that was there the day my dog was fixed seemed like she was knowledgeable and kind.I read reviews online about doctor B and had hope I found a good vet. I left my dog with the TWO staff members on duty that day, one being the front desk Lady, the other being the only vet tech on duty that mornin/day. When I picked up my dog i saw three red scratch Marks on her belly thinking maybe it was from surgery tape or something irritating her skin. The next three days revealed that she was shaved raw and cut to her skin by the vet tech before the surgery. I contacted the office and vet

Horrible service! First off they never even called to confirm my appointment after waiting two months to be seen. I had to continually call the day of my appointment to see someone to confirm the time since I have to drive 30-40 minutes to get there. Once I did I had to muzzle my dog (she's not use to strangers or clinic she's been in quarantine) which is why the muzzle was put. They had said they couldn't do the service because she was aggressive and gave a medicine to give her (which no questions were asked about any sedating medicine before the appointment) they said we had to

I do believe this is a quality vet compared to most but I'm sorry the lady who works at the front desk is just not a good person. I have no doubt that she can be the sweetest, kindest person when she wants to be. Most likely to the owner and her co-workers she can play that role nicely I'm sure. The fact is that she is mean, she cut me off when I was talking several times and on every occasion she seemed generally disinterested in what I had to say. To you the person who thinks she is nice, she isn't.

I have been coming here for the past 5 years and gave only ever had great experiences... until today. As I walked in I was welcomed with dog feces on my shoe. When I politely asked the gal (who wouldn't give me her name) at the front counter for something more than a wet nap to clean my shoe, she said she didn't have time to grab me anything and began to tell me they're just shoes. And while I politely explained to her that they're a $300 pair of shoes, she says to me, don't buy shoes you can't afford. Who says this to a customer who's been coming here for 5 years

I have been coming to see Dr. B for ten years. She and her team are amazing except for the inept front desk receptionist. In the past week I have called to make an appointment and have only been able to reach the voicemail. I left a message and was never called back. This morning I waited outside for the clinic to open so I could make an… appointment in person. The front desk woman opened the door and I explained I needed to make an appointment. She became flustered and said I had to leave if I didn’t have an appointment because there could only be three people in the lobby due to

10/22 Update: I noticed the owner refuses to acknowledge this incident (see reply). I am not surprised because her receptionist (blonde older lady) probably denied it.
If I could give this place 0 I would. I was walking my dog and I noticed he started choking on a piece of stick. Caring pet clinic was a few steps away and we ran in there for help. I said "my dog is choking" and the front desk really just told us "please sit down. it will be a few minutes". THE AUDACITY. My boyfriend and I ran out of there and performed measures ourselves and thankfully we were able to get it

Took both my dogs in for checkups and shots for just one of them as the other one had just received shots from Vetco. Despite giving them the paperwork and all their information, the technicians still gave them BOTH shots and then didn't seem to care when we confronted them on it and still made us pay for it, even after seeing their records again. They wanted a RECEIPT from Vetco in order to reimburse me, which I didn't have even though we had the rest of the paperwork, just not the credit card receipt. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! Place was also dirty and everyone we interacted with was rude.

We've been bringing our cats and puppy here for approximately NINE years. Everything about this organization gives us further loyalty. The technicians are outstanding, and great with our highly anxious dog. The cost is for normal people, whereas we always felt taken advantage of at our previous cliinic. This place is like family to us. Special thanks to Dr. Birchmeier... the very best.

My family has brought our dogs to Dr. B and her clinic for care for several years. Her experience, bedside manner, and customer service is excellent. Though we could find a vet in Bellevue or Redmond (we moved out of Seattle in 2015) but we make the drive to Caring Pet Clinic for all of our routine visits and even our emergency care. They are dedicated, conduct themselves with professionalism and fairness, and their thoroughness is highly valued. We recommend this clinic to all.

An old roommate moved out over night and all the sudden :SURPRISE!!: I found myself with two *tiny*, feral, somewhat sickly kittens between 3-4 months who’d never seen a vet. Friends of mine had just brought their two kittens to CPCoS and highly recommended I do the same. From their first visit, through their surgeries (and the complications… thereof) and every visit since, Companion Pet Clinic has been my absolute favorite vet in the area (moved to Seattle in ‘97) and they’ve really just been GREAT. It can be a bit noisy and the sounds of traffic can be a little stressful

We've been coming to this walk in clinic for a few years and I love to come here when my dog needs a yearly check up and shots.
It's first come first served no appointment allowed so it can be tricky and time consuming if they are busy. We have waited close to two hours before to be seen but recently I found out they allow you to drop your pet off for a exam and shots which is great because that way you can run errand while they get seen instead of sitting in the waiting room which can get over whelming if there's lots of other dogs and cats waiting as well.
You can't beat

One of the worst pet clinic I ever have experienced. Staffs are not friendly and not thoughtful to get my dog to get an examination. They seem very corporate, not organized well and staff are not enjoying being with animals. They requested me to bring my dog several times to get a simple X-ray. They seems very incompedent and thoughtless dealing with a nervous dog because they don't seem care.

This is a walk-in pet clinic so you can't schedule in advance, the parking space is tight, and the interior space is simplistic at best. Yet I still rate it at five star, why?
Because Companion Pet Clinic provides excellent service at very affordable price, and both their front desk and vet truly care about my cat. As other reviewers already suggested, their neuter price is quite reasonable. I want to mention that their pricing on teeth cleaning and vaccine are also super affordable as well. My British Shorthair cat was diagnosed by another vet at Bellevue with dental issues, and I received

I had been taking both my dogs to Companion pet clinic through many ups and downs and battles and worked well with the staff and doctor as well as trusted them to provide my dogs with the best possible care and that is what we did get as well as both my dogs didn’t really mind visiting the “vet” and that alone is NOT normal! Then one day a tenant… of mine brings home a small dog he found running down a busy road that looked to be in not so healthy condition to say the least! I don’t allow my tenants to have pets because of my own 2 dogs so I told him the dog could

This place is probably the best place to neuter/ spay your dog in Seattle area. I neutered my yorkie and get his retained baby teeth extracted last Thursday. The whole process was very smooth. It was very easy to make an appointment or reschedule it. On the neuter day, the frontdesk and assistant people were really nice and warm. I dropped him at 8:30 am and picked him up at 2:00 pm. I got some pain killer meds from the doctor but only used once. My boy was back to his oldself next day and recovered very well afterwards. For this whole good experience I was only charged $215(neuter+ extract 6 teeth

Amazing veterinarians, kind reception staff, and excellent all around care for your critters can be found here. I have brought my cats here for vaccinations, sniffly noses, you name it, they take care of it!
This clinic offers walk-in care and you can call ahead to see how many people are in line. They have a small private parking lot off of 45th that is great so you and your pet don't have to parallel park somewhere and walk a long way if you're traveling by car.
Prices here are so reasonable there's just no need to go anywhere else. Everyone who works here has loved on my babies
