Nathan was always very pleasant to deal with. I hired him in August 2020 when his family was going through a difficult time, so it is understandable to have some delays and hiccups. However, he missed a couple appraisals for my family that I had to remind him about. We also had a vacant lot that we believe was priced too high. He agreed to take another look at it, but that was months ago. After reminding him about 5 times, I have given up. We had to hire another appraiser to finish the work, which we are not pleased about.

Cannot express my gratitude for this guy! Long story short, contacting my Mortgage company AFTER the appraisal turns out they wouldn't accept HIS appraisal. He warned me this could happen and said he would provide a full refund if it did. Thank you Nathan

I have been in the Home Lending for over 25 years and ran across Nathan Bernhardt several years ago. With all the Appraisers I have used in the past he is the fastest, most honest and most thorough Appraiser I have ever used. Since 2010 I have not had the Choice in using Mr. Bernhardt because of the AMC's but I asked his opinion on a clients home and he would do the Appraisal for free. INCREADABLE!!

I really can't say enough good things about Nathan. He was responsive and very sensitive to my timeline for getting an appraisal to remove my mortgage insurance before the market subsided and before I had a baby! He was a big help and fortunately, our home made the cut off to remove the mortgage insurance.

I just completed a total renovation and it was important to have an appraiser that would really dive into the finishes and understand the journey. In my experience I have had appraisers basically do the appraisal prior to seeing and just do a drive by. Nathan not only listened, but he spent time with me helping me understand his process. He is a unicorn and someone that I will be recommending!!!

Bernhardt Appraisal deserves the highest recommendation. When I first called Nathan about an appraisal, he was extremely professional and flexible to what I needed, and I soon learned upon meeting him, that he was also very detail oriented and timely in his reports and drawings. Overall, Nathan's appraisal experience and knowledge about the housing market was extremely impressive, and that is what gives him the advantage over his competitors. Great rates too!

A few weeks ago, an elderly friend of mine living in the Portland area asked me for my help. She was getting ready to sell her house and needed an appraiser.
