Chris was masterful with our very anxious German Shepherd in Fall 2018-spent the first 45 minutes bonding with her so he could treat her ears without causing her more anxiety. Our Shepherd trusted him completely by the end of the first visit. And her ears have healed nicely. I love new owners, Dr. Chris helped me get our pup the care she needed!

Made a last minute decision to get my dog neutered before moving and his regular pet clinic was booked months out. Canterbury Animal Hospital was the location that could take him in with short notice and at a reasonable price. Also loved that they scheduled a follow up appointment 2 weeks after to make sure everything healed properly and nothing wrong was going on with him. Other vets in the area would only see him if something was wrong but would not schedule a follow up unless it was necessary. Staff was great and professional and made sure to answer any questions and concerns I had before and

Dr. Chris Mcilmoil and the entire clinic have a huge heart for animals and people. Dr. Mcilmoil spent a lot of time with us (even though I'm sure they were busy!) answering our questions and making sure we understood our dog's condition before and after her procedure. Thank you for the excellent care you gave to our dog Ruby!

We have used this clinic for over 12 years. Through multiple owners/veterinarians and staff changes I know people's reviews have been mixed but we always felt that our animals well-being was a priority here so we kept coming back. I never posted a review though until now. Dr. Chris Mcilmoil made a very positive impression on us and this hospital will benefit greatly from having him. He is very personable and easy to talk to. He assessed the situation, clearly explained to us our options for treatment and finally listened to us and respected our decision. He advised us during the process and

I called to get some vaccine records transferred to my local veterinarian( the previous dog owner had taken our dog here) I was impressed on how nicely I was treated and how both the people that I talked to took the time to help me even if I wasn’t even a customer. I would definitely switch to this vet after the attention received over the phone. Thank you Canterbury Animal Hospital.

I honestly wasn't going to go to this place due to the name (then I learned that that's the street it's on). My pup had an allergic reaction to something at while 5 other hospitals were at capacity or a 7 hour wait, I was able to get in in 45 minutes without a spendy ER fee. Thankful for the cheerful and knowledgeable staff here and they have my business for as long as we are in the area.

I'm not sure if it's related to covid or they just are disorganized. I called On a Friday to schedule my dog to be looked at for an injury and it took three tries to even get someone to answer. The girl who answered was very short and quickly told me to show up on Monday at 9 am. Fast forward to Monday at 8:53 I pulled up and the entire clinic was dark even though the sign says it opens at 7:30. I sit for almost 10 minutes calling and knocking. Finally left assuming they weren't going to be open today. As we pulled out I noticed a car pull in and a girl slowly crawl out of her car

The vet was this older gentlemen we saw in June of 2019. Our senior cat started peeing in inappropriate places in the week prior and had started begging at the table months before. We asked about both things and he tested her urine and treated the UTI. He did not explore the begging and assured us it was fine.

We took her to a different vet this year and they had her in for a senior cat exam and a blood and urine panel for nearly half the cost of this vet's visit. My cat has hyperthyroidism, and begging and increased hunger is a TEXTBOOK symptom. She is being treated for it now, but I am

We saw Dr. Chris for another opinion about my dogs surgery she is needing. He took x-rays, explained to me all the different types of surgeries and how they all worked. He made sure I understood every bit of what he was talking about. He was caring, kind, understanding and patient. I will forsure be coming back here. Oh and even all the ladies there were so kind, sweet and made sure I knew what was going on. They love my kiddo almost as much as I do!!❤

We have been clients at Canterbury for many years and were satisfied with the vet and service, but now with the new owners it is so much better. Everything from front desk/reception to the quality of care is better. The vets seem to really take time to listen and do thorough exams. Highly recommend.

We have been bringing our cat here for over 10 years because of how great the staff is and how excellent the quality of care is.
They are able to squeeze us in for emergency visits due to our cat climbing a tree or getting in fights. Our cat is a little scrappy and they were able to manage him just fine! Because he tried to scratch one of the vet techs they trimmed up his nails and had such a great attitude about it.

They took me and Calipso in on short notice. Found out was wrong called me and went over the price breakdown before treating her. DR Chris was extremely nice and informative about the medications being prescribed. And I don't understand the negative reviews on staff courteousness. They were extremely pleasant with me and my dog loved them :)

Oh, how I miss Dr. Cox~his business was sold & the new Vet, Dr. Chris does not do a very good job screening his hired help! We've been taking our 14 + yr. old dog there for 14 + yrs. & all of a sudden they require a physical to trim nails~hello? Hannah was so rude, we will not be going back to this clinic; I merely called to ask for a nail trim that we have been having the Vet tech do for us......she put me on hold for a very long time & came back & said that my "14+" yr. old dog could not have anything done until she had a physical!! The Dr. just saw our dog a few

I was overcharged and it took them 45 min to correct it and talk with me. After they removed the extra charges they told me I would have to pay several hundred dollars for a procedure before they could do the one I wanted. This was unnecessary and most vets do not require it. At one point I was forced to wait 30min while they helped someone who came in almost two hours late. The staff there was not polite or competent. The temp vet they had was very nice but that was the only part that was possitive.

Dr. Anna Fumasi is ok. I can see that she is very caring and loving to our chow chow except she never told me the result of skin scraping that cost me $30.

Another issue I had with this visit was the front desk and she doesn't seem to care at all. She refuse to hand me the rebate form as if she will lose money. She kept reiterating that if price match was done then rebate won't apply. I told her if I can get the copy of the rebate form and I can read it myself at home. She refuses to hand me the form and kept repeating about the price match and rebate. NEWSFLASH: The rebate form is

We took our 3 1/2-year-old other-wise healthy golden retriever in because he had vomiting that had lasted more than 24 hours. Was treated for pancreatitis, ear infection, and x-rayed for a possible blockage. ($859) Nothing showed up on the x-ray, and they said we could schedule an ultrasound for another day. While waiting for the ultrasound appointment, we got worried and drove him out to our old vet. Dr. Koehler took a look at the x-rays and said based on the gas patterns, our dog definitely had a foreign object/blockage. After paying several hundred dollars for exploratory surgery, we had to

Do not go here. These people are completely unobservant and were dismissive of my sick cat. Also, there was a small amount of POO on the exam table and I watched, mortified, as the elderly male vet unknowingly slid his hand through it before touching my cat. Absolutely disgusting. That was the smallest issue I encountered. I went in for a routine checkup where I expressed concern at my cats sudden weight loss. I was told he was in good health and they then administered 3 vaccines at once to get him up to date. This was far too much for my middle aged cat to handle, and he started having a severe

I live in SE, land of veterinarians. However, I drive 40 minutes to Canterbury because they are honest, knowledgeable, and priced fairly. I've spent thousands on vet mistakes at other places and I'm happy those days are over. They are good to my cat and I am thankful for their team.

Dr. Cox is absolutely amazing! Years ago, he took care of my Ragdoll cat, Angel. He took care of her through the birth of her kittens, to the end of her life a few years ago. He once even did dental work on her when I was really young and couldn't afford to pay for it. I would recommend him to anyone needing a vet in Tigard.

It's important to have a vet you trust. I worry more about my little Pugsly more than myself! I am down in Portland pet sitting my friends pug Luna who is 16 and while here my dog got sick. I immediately called Canterbury Animal Hospital and they squeezed me in.

They welcomed me at the front desk and I liked their waiting room. It was clean and the chairs were so comfortable. It was also well furnished and looked more like an upscale doctors office than a vet!

Everyone at the office I dealt with was polite, friendly and professional. They make you feel welcome and treat our furry friends

I called Canterbury because they are right across the street from me and I needed to get my dogs nails done. One of my dogs is allergic to the Rabies vaccine and is therefore not vaccinated for Rabies. She is legally exempt and I am always willing to muzzle her for the groomers, however recently I have found that the only place willing to do her nails is veterinary offices, because of the liability.

Canterbury had no problem with doing my dogs nails, which was a relief, but they only do grooming on Friday's so I would have to wait until then to bring them in then. That was a bit inconvenient
