My wife surprised me for my Birthday and took me back to Duling-Kurtz to celebrate. We were greeted by Mr. Michael behind the bar, and greeted with an exceptional Manhattan for me and a dirty Martini for my Bride. We sat and enjoyed the ambiance and bustling of the people coming in for dinner. We were seated for Dinner and were introduced to Ms. Amy and Mr. Michael ( alternate human, same name) . Ms. Amy is a ball of fire, super warm and friendly. She did an outstanding job making the evening exceptional. The octopus appetizer was amazing. Wife tried the French Onion soup, and I snuck a taste,

The Duling-Kurtz House is a combo restaurant and Inn located in Exton PA. We go once a year from Delaware for our Christmas Date. The ambiance is excellent. Since it was originally a house, there are many rooms so it never seems really crowded even though it holds a lot of people. The decor is old school English countryside. The food has ranged from excellent to good depending on when we have gone. It's been excellent more often than good. It's a relatively pricey place but it's a wonderful place for a family get together or romantic date night.

This place was incredibly disappointing. Not only was it overpriced, but the food was so bland and tasted like nothing. What should have been a quick dinner ended up being a 3 1/2 hour saga. The menu wasn’t updated, so every time someone ordered something, the waitress would come back 15 minutes later and say they didn’t have it. The entire staff was grouchy and unhappy - will not be going back!

This review is for the Inn: This is a lovely older B&B, beautifully decorated and comfortable. While there are a few slight maintenance issues, such as windows that can't be easily opened and no visible individual thermostats in the room, our stay was wonderful and peaceful. We upgraded to a larger suite and were glad that we did. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would stay again.

We were disappointed with the upkeep, room being cold at night. The additional heaters worked out for our last night stay. The innkeepers were very nice. The b&b breakfast was not the same with covid-19 in place. Just coffee. Yogurt. Muffins. The restaurant was another story. Great meals. Wonderful five star service. Wonderful chef! We ate there both nights for our two nights stay. We were looking forward to it!

We wanted to love it!!! Very disappointed however, we found out upon arrival that our queen room was very small so that bed was pushed up to wall on one side. Difficult to get in and out of! No air in room, very warm, and came on only at their setting on the third night. Shower door opened partially, as it was blocked by toilet. Breakfast was inadequate! Offered bananas/apples, tiny muffins, yogurt, just enough for number of guests. Parking was taken by restaurant guests, parked on grass one night and went out later to move car. Never saw a front desk person after initial check in.

We didn't stay; we had a Family Supper. The food was exceptional. The steak was the best I have had since I was in Germany. My son declared it was the best Restaurant experience he had had in the United States (been here 10 years). The Hostess was welcoming without being gushing. The Barman was knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. The Table Service was exactly as it should be. This is a gem of a Restaurant and as we live close by we will be back. No idea about the Rooms but the atmosphere is relaxed and the value for money for the food is very reasonable. Treat yourself.
