Willowbrook Veterinary Hospital provides animal wellness care, full service diagnostics, animal dental care, therapeutic laser treatments, senior pet care, soft tissue surgery, animal nutritional counseling, vaccinations, microchipping, spay and neuter procedures, animal behavioral medicine, and international travel and health certificates for dogs, cats, and small mammals in Tigard, King City, Sherwood, Tualatin, Beaverton, Lake Grove, Lake Oswego, and all Southwest Portland areas.
Karen is a native Oregonian hailing from Eugene. A welcoming and familiar face at Willowbrook Veterinary Hospital, Karen has been helping clients and their pets here since 2003. Originally working part-time, she joined the team full-time in 2010. When not at Willowbrook she can be found working (or relaxing) at her mini farm.
Whether it's a spay or neuter surgery, annual vaccinations, dental cleanings, or therapeutic laser treatments, our veterinarians want you to feel in control of your pet's care. We also offer animal nutritional counseling and animal behavior consultations to ensure that all aspects of your pet's health are managed well.

Willowbrook was able to get my new puppy in for her first exam the day after I brought her home. They were friendly, informative and gave me a ton of material to read on best foods to feed her, vaccinations she will need and how to help potty train her.

On the positive, the front desk team is so friendly, especially Karen. On the more unfortunate downside, I don't trust the vets here anymore. I took my cat is to have surgery on his aural hematoma by Dr. Trerise. The stitches were clearly not done well and some had almost completely fallen out 12 hours later. My cat had a hard cone on, couldn't reach his stitches, and I had not touched them at all, so this was through no fault of our own. When I brought him back in to get a second opinion by Dr. Leon two days later, he acknowledged that the stitches were falling out, but adamantly refused the idea

We have been taking our three (very high maintenance) animals to Dr. Dennis Leon for about 4 years. Dr. Leon goes above and beyond for us and our pets every time we bring them in. Not only is he a skilled doctor, he takes the time to explain everything in detail so we understand what is going on. The staff at Willowbrook (and Viva) are skilled, kind, and professional as well. Every time I drop my Basset Hound off for yet another surgery, I know she’s in good hands. I reached out to 6 vets in the area as I prepared to bring my puppy Agnes home. Willowbrook was by far the most response and gave me very clear care and price details.
I took Agnes to her first appointment and really appreciated how gentle and experienced the vet techs were. I couldn't go in with Agnes due to social distancing but they made sure I understood the whole process.
Dr. Leon called me within half an hour to walk me through puppy care and safety, safe socialization tips, training resources, and preventative care. He was very patient and didn't rush through any info. He recommended Dr

Dr. Leon and his coworkers were so helpful. Our dog is very nervous in new places and around people and they managed to do everything they needed without incident and helped me keep our dog calm throughout.
I'm a science major, so I had a ton of questions queued up and Dr. Leon and Mason (the tech/assistant) had easy answers ready for me on every single one I could think of. Not to mention that after everything was said and done their pricing was much better than I was expecting. Great start to a long relationship!

Dr. Kurowski went on maternity leave. Dr. Froelic came on but she did not present to me as a very competent vet, like mediocre. Then when I took my dog experiencing not eating, not drinking to her, she diagnosed indigestion & gave him anti-nausea pills. 2 days later I rushed him to the Emerg. Hosp. where they correctly diagnosed him--cancer. … Lymphoma. Not indigestion. If this vet had had her head on straight and looked at the symptoms more seriously and with better depth, she could have suspected more going on. A month later my dog was dead after having the best treatment including
