After high school and college, they worked, and adventured, all the while working in the food and beverage industry.
After being lured back home by friends, family, and the beauty of SB, Alex and Tracy decided it was time to put their years of experience together and start their next big adventure. The sucker is regarded as harmful; just how harmful we don't know. It has the habit of drilling holes and from these pits it gathers the tree's keg's oozing life blood, sapping it up with its brushlike tongue.

Great neighborhood spot that never disappoints when we come to town. Always listen to recommendations from locals at the bar- they steered us right last night on the Mai Tai IPA and the Saison. We shared the seasonal apple, walnut and kale salad and the mand arugula pizza. Fantastic! I've previously had a fantastic burger there, too.

This has been one of my favorite local hidden gems for years now! Great environment, seriously incredible service, and amazing food every time. 5 stars always! The chili is my go-to on the weekly, but their pizzas and fried chicken sandwiches are also incredible. The burgers are great, too... so hard to choose! Yellow Belly is the perfect neighborhood spot!

This is a great neighborhood spot to grab a beer and some food. I used to go here for brunch all the time because their breakfast sandwich and chicken and waffles were so good, but they eliminated brunch a little while ago. I really wish they would bring that back because I would go here more often if they had it! The food is more bar food (burgers, pizza, fried food), so it's good if you're in the mood for that kind of food. I do enjoy sitting on their patio (they have one in the front and in the back).

My sister and i found this place just walking around looking for someplace to have dinner. We were extremely happy to find this gem! The menu is small but thats not a bad thing. We ordered a bottle of champagne with our meal and sat outside. The staff was very nice and quick. I cant wait to come back.

The atmosphere here was cozy and nice! Staff was friendly. Came here on a Wednesday night to have some dinner with friends. I got the ricotta pizza with chicken and a house salad. Pizza was flavorful and cheesy. The salad was good and a good sized portion. The Brussels sprouts were good too! Tasted a little bitter but they were ok.

I really like coming to Yellow Belly. It has a homey vibe and is always a top-of-mind meeting place for me. There's something for everyone here - burgers and beer, veg and sparkling water. With a big outdoor seating area and super cozy-comfy atmosphere inside, Yellow Belly is a great spot to meet up with friends, family, coworkers, or a pint and a good book.

First of all, everyone is so nice and friendly. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with a side salad .
The fried chicken was made from the breast but was moist and crunchy. The spread was tasty. Underneath the chicken was a crunchy cabbage slaw. The buns were fluffy and soft, it tasted like they baked it themselves but I don't know. It tasted like layers of buttery goodness.
Even the side salad was good. Just some mixed greens, yellow and red sweet cherry tomatoes , sunflower seed for texture.

I'm officially addicted to Brussel Sprouts! I literally order them on a weekly from different restaurants! Yellow Belly outdid themselves!
Absolutely amazing! The sautéed onions, and bacon were great additions.
Their onion rings are killer! Even better the next day! My daughter had the tomato soup. She enjoyed it.
This restaurant has my vote! I'd definitely recommend it!

COVID-19 Review.
Yellow Belly provided our last meal out on our two week road trip and it was a great way to end our trip. We came to meet some friends of ours that moved to Santa Barbara and they suggested eating here as they love coming.
It was lunch and we were getting pretty hungry so arriving to Yellow Belly we were happy to be seated. At the time, we were allowed to sit outdoors on their patio which is small but worked perfectly. The inside of the restaurant looked really cozy which I would have liked if times were different. Maybe next time.

We decided to try out Yellow Belly this weekend and we are glad we did. Plenty of outdoor seating was available, so we felt super comfortable.
They have a good variety of items on the menu. Think elevated comfort food! They also have a great beer and wine selection. If you have been wanting to try Pliney the Elder this is your new favorite spot!
We both ended up ordering the Yellow Belly burger. Burger was juicy and well seasoned. The burger came on a huge brioche bun with caramelized onions. Very good!
We will go back again and try more items on the menu! Staff was also very friendly! :

Yellow Belly is one of a few restaurants on upperish De La Vina that is making the area more fun. It's got solid food, friendly service and patio space with a cool vibe out front and behind. I like the fried chicken sandwich and delicious beer selections. The brunch is also very tasty. During non-Covid times they also have music occasionally. It's family friendly and just feels right. I highly suggest you Check it out.

Probably one of my favorite places to go for a casual date night with my husband! The pretzel is amazing and easy to share with two people (yes you can eat one on your own, no judgements). It comes with mustard and cheese dipping sauces. The onion rings are delicious and pairs well with the chipotle aioli dipping sauce. My hubby and i split the black and blue burger and substituted chicken. Ah-mazing!! The chicken was tender and the flavors were incredible! Highly recommend it. The place appears small on the inside but there is plenty of outside in the front and back

Came with a friend on a Sunday @ 11:30 (peak brunch time) and there was NO WAIT! I was so shocked because I know how popular this place is!
Also, the place itself is super cute! Super homey both inside and outside!
They have both outdoor and indoor seating and even enough for groups of 6+ so I also liked that as well!
I ordered the classic breakfast with a $6, yes, $6 mimosa and it was great! Food came out in about 10 minutes! I did not spend too much time here but I will be back because I would love to have other things on their menu!
