This restaurant was superb! The first impression was our sweet waitress Woodine. We could not have asked for a better waitress. I wish I could have met the chef. The food was delicious and the presentation was on point! The tropical pancakes were delicious. The captain Morgan syrup glaze was to die for. I wish they sold it in a bottle so I could take some home. My husband had the omelet and the BLT sandwich. We will definitely be back.

We went here for a dinner on my friend's bachelorette trip. We were able to call and make a reservation the day of for a party of 6. They started us off with complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate. We ordered an assortment of food from the signature fish dish to the impossible burger and the Bacon jam burger. Everyone enjoyed there food. Our server was fantastic and had everything to us quickly and made sure we were taken care of. Attended the Lauderdale dine out for my cousin's birthday. The staff was amazing. Very attentive and super friendly. The bartender's drinks were on point. She even came to check on us to make sure we were satisfied with the drinks. The pina colada with the extra shot was so good. For the appetizer I had the coconut shrimp which was crunchy on the outside with a little sweet from the coconut and chewy shrimp in the middle. We also had for the table callaloo spinach dip. This review is solely based on the customer service and the cocktails! The service was outstanding. The staff was so accommodating and helpful during our visit. The bartender also made us great boozy cocktails and was super kind. She came to our table just to see if we enjoyed our cocktails. I did enjoy my French Fries but I was not too pleased with my other items. I would love to come back a possibly try some other options on the menu.

Came and celebrated my birthday with my family. The staff was amazing Andy was our waiter and he was very helpful and service was top notch. The bartender was very attentive and made a great Pina colada she even made accommodated my daughter with a miami vice. The drinks were great. The appitetizers were good. This is probably one of the best small hotel restaurants I ever visited!
This place is in Sonesta Hotel on Fort Lauderdale Beach. I stayed there for work for a day (I know, the best kind of work trips) and grabbed both drinks/dinner and breakfast from this place.
And I have to say, wow, all of these are really good. I was going to grab 2 glasses of Prosecco and be done for the evening, but then can't resist when the server handed over the happy hour menu. Serious, what? How do I even say no to $8 BBQ Chicken flatbread by the beach? And when it came out, first, the portion size really surprised

As locals, we have eaten at Steelpan a couple of times and are always WOWED by their food and service.
Just when we thought it could not get any better....Chef Kevin, his Sous Chef, Amy and staff, have elevated their cuisine and service something fierce! Every single appetizer, dish and dessert was so on pointe! We had family from out of town and they were incredibly impressed. We were celebrating our post wedding that week and Amy, the epitome of service and detail, made our celebration even more special along with Chef Kevin. I am so proud to have Steelpan in Fort Lauderdale Beach and love showing

I can't say enough good things about Steelpan. Can't go wrong with a Jamaican chef, mixing Caribbean flavors with traditionally American culinary delights! Visited twice & had the callaloo & artichoke dip. The French toast with guava/cheese inside was sweet, but yummy, not recommended for diabetics!! Also had the vegetarian pasta. I didn't add anything to eat, although u have the option of adding chicken or fish! The portion size was small, but filling. I will b back!!

The food is absolutely delicious! The Caribbean flavors are so distinct. But the service from Jackie was AMAZING! She was truly attentive, even when busy! We really enjoyed our experience with her, thereby making the experience at Steelpan exceptional. The only drawback was the one mini croissant that was the cost of a meal.

My wife and I had a great Valentine's day experience. I tried to book last minute. Even though they were fully booked, we spoke to the chef and he was able to squeeze us in early.
The food and experience was excellent. We had a few tropical drinks that complimented the Caribbean fusion food well. The crab corn bisque was tasty and went well with our salad. My coconut shrimp tacos were delicious. My wife had grilled Mahi cooked perfectly.
As locals, we will definitely return to this restaurant that treated us like family and served us great food at a reasonable price.

We decided to take a quick day trip from Orlando to the Fort Lauderdale Beach Area and ended up having a great dining experience at Steelpan Kitchen & Bar located in the Sonesta Hotel situated directly across the beach on the A1A. Their outdoor seating area was spacious and provided an island ambiance with the sound of the waves and a light ocean breeze coming in. My wife and I came here for their Thanksgiving buffet. Oh my gosh! Everything was great! Lots of attention from the staff. Chef Kevin came out several times to make sure we were doing well. Highly recommend.
Came for a second time Sunday 01/05/20. Again, great service and even better brunch. HUGE and delicious French toast.
