I have lived in building A for 15 years. You live here for the amazing location.
Pros: The building has all of your nessisties covered, heat and water included, medium size storage locker, many washing/drying machines which are card operated. It is most likely one of the more affordable places in the area, and it's a very safe place to live.
Cons: Roaches, flies, and bugs are a real issue in building A. The maintenance guys are ok, some better than others. In my personal experience the heat and hot water did go out a fair amount of times. The walls and floors are very thin, you will hear your

EDIT - 07/2020: We've been here for a long time, 4-5 years likely? I want to preface this by saying that the staff that work for the apartments in Media are very kind and I do appreciate the help they've given us while we've been here - this review is not a reflection of their particular work or attitudes.
At first it was fine, but now we're in a place where we are frustrated by the lack of care for the inside of the building and lived-in units. Our rent increases every year...but for what? We've received no general improvements to our unit so everything is essentially old and falling apart because

We had a hassle-free experience living at Gayley Park apartments for 2.5 years. Accommodations may not be "luxurious" but I'd say it is well-kept for ~40 year old buildings. Having lived in both building A & B, I was surprised at how quiet it was in both places- the walls must be dense/thick. We didn't have many issues but mgmt was always quick to respond. Media is not a cheap place to live but Gayley Park is one of the best values for this area- I recommend it.

Over the course of the year that I stayed at Gayley the experience was adequate. The size of the rooms were perfect for me at the time and the location was convenient. All appliances were in working order upon move in and when things broke maintenance was always there in a timely manner for repair. My neighbors minded to themselves and i could never hear much from the neighboring units.
The main drawbacks were the AC and construction. There is only one outdoor AC unit in the living room. The size and power of the unit doesnt pump out enough air to extend into the bedroom so it ends up being a

Worst apartment I've ever had. Spacious, sure. Not worth it. Yearly rent increase is non negotiable and massive too. They don't care about you. Call in a repair and they'll come but they'll always leave a huge mess. Sloppy repairs too. When a pipe busted in the bathroom and soaked through the carpet in the hallway, they just lifted it up and stuck a dinky fan there for two days. As if that will really do the trick, guys.
This building is NOISY too. Like insanely loud. I heard every conversation in the basement laundry room-- crystal clear, as if they were sitting on the couch next to me. Don't

The maintenance crew did a horrible job on their remodeling of the kitchen. Additionally, every time we touched the stove and microwave above it we would get a serious electrical shock from the bad wiring. Despite countless complaints for months, they never did fix it.
We also signed a 6 month extension to our lease as I was on a military deployment and would not be back in time to move. We told them multiple times that we were purchasing a house and would be moving out at the end of the 6 months. They were even contacted by our lender, we realized a few weeks before moving out that we didn’t

My wife and I moved to Gayley Park to save money after we married (August 2010). When we returned from our honeymoon, which was the end of our first month, we found the apartment to be invested with cockroaches. I'm not exaggerating when I say that there were weeks when we killed 4 to 5 giant cockroaches. We immediately asked for them to do something about this issue and they had the apartment treated by their pest control company, but we had to wait a few weeks before the pest control company would arrive. After the treatment, the cockroaches surfaced more frequently. We put up with bi-weekly
