Dental disease can occur at any age and can contribute to other illnesses like eye, nasal or sinus, and heart and kidney disease. Our licensed veterinary technicians monitor the patient from induction to recovery along with state-of-the-art patient monitoring equipment to ensure your cat's safety.

At Cat Clinic of Seattle, we understand that your cat is a beloved member of your family, and we'll treat him or her as such.

I've been going here for over 5 years, but they changed vets recently and I do not like the new vets. One tells me my cat has a heart murmur, the other says no she doesn't. I'm lost as to what to do and can't get clear advice. My cat also eats prescription food that I can't get bc of shortages and the new vets haven't been helpful at all about what to do. I'm planning to change vets as soon as I can.

Time for a long overdue review! The first thing I noticed was the clinic's wonderful, cat-friendly, mellow vibe. My 3 rescues were noticeably calmer in the waiting room and exam rooms. The same was true for my… son's 3 family cats that I've brought in for care.

The Cat Clinic of Seattle recently sold out to a national chain and when that happened the clinic went downhill. The vets listed on the clinic's website Dr. Nevin and Dr. Nemic left overnight without letting patients know there had been a change. The clinic now pushes pricey unnecessary procedures and offers little in the way of follow-up care when extra help is needed. Better to take your business to a more caring and less money-centric practice.

With their Covid protocol for dropping off a cat, they require you to have a car and there is no Plan B if you don't have a car. This is a dense neighborhood right in the middle of the city, not everyone gets around by car! It's rather frustrating that this doesn't seem to have occurred to anyone in the office.

If Cat Clinic of Seattle takes the care with cats that ARE their patients as they did with my cat - who was not their patient, this clinic is the best of the best. We are changing vets to them. Backstory: I had taken my very sick cat to my regular vet twice last week (my regular vet was NOT the Cat Clinic of Seattle), and a $1,000 later and two full days at the vet later, no diagnosis - just a guess. That clinic sent me home with pain pills and anti-nausea meds for the cat.
I called them *again* a week later because the cat is still very sick and they said she could get a diagnostic ultrasound

Years ago I had a female Siamese that had thyroid issues that were death threatening. These could have been diagnosed by two other clinics and the Cat Clinic of Seattle's Dr. Dymere (I believe it was spelled) properly diagnosed my cat, we attempted with time as their resolve was correct.
I telephoned every Dr..... Dean at every veterinarian university in the United States. Every dean diagnosed my cat exactly as the Cat Clinic had.
We attempted even though since her injury a year prior to her fractured hip, it was to late to save her.
With time continuum. My current cat a rescue cat,

We have been coming to Cat Clinic for many years. First with our Siamese cat when he got sick in about 1998. And since he passed with our two tonkinese cats. I noticed a couple of negative reviews but I totally disagree. They tried everything possible to give our Siamese life options when he was very ill with cancer. We really appreciated their loving efforts. Since then we adopted two tonkinese 15 years ago and they have been well taken care of by the cat clinic. Thank you 😊

We've been bringing our two cats here for years and have always been happy with the care our cats received. A few weeks ago, it was time to say goodbye to one of our cats and the staff was amazing. The vet… reassured me about our choice, gave me plenty of time to say goodbye and everyone was so caring and supportive. A few days later, they sent a condolence card with the cat's paw prints and when we picked up her ashes, they were in a pretty little urn. We could not have felt more supported in this tough time and will continue to visit for our other cat's ongoing care.

I took my recently adopted cat to Cat Clinic of Seattle this morning and had a very good experience. From the people who greeted me at the front desk to the vet techs and the vet, I was amazed at how friendly and kind they all were and seemed to genuinely care about my cat. I really liked Dr Nemec. She was excellent!
My cat was so freaked out on our trip to the vet, she peed all over inside the carrier and all over herself and they actually took my carrier and washed it out clean, and took my cat and gave her a mini bath!
I definitely would recommend this cat vet to anyone looking.

Stellar. The vets and vet techs are amazing, and very well-informed. Whenever I call or come in, I get excellent customer service.
My cat has kidney disease and gets excellent care here. At least one of the vets attended a recent conference in Cali on feline kidney disease, and they're all also very up to date on diet and dental care for cats. I love this place!

Some years ago, when Dr. Stern was there, I would have given this clinic a five-star rating.
But since then, the care and treatment by the staff has become inconsistent and sometimes quite poor, and I can no longer recommend them. Talking to others in the neighborhood, including a trusted local and experienced animal-sitter, I hear similar comments.
If you need routine care, and they are convenient, then I would say by all means. But for something beyond that, perhaps look elsewhere.

I came here for my cat's free checkup after adopting her from the Seattle Humane Society. The office staff (and office cat!) were welcoming and the vet was knowledgeable and kind. The also took my cat to the back to comb out some of the mats that she'd developed at the shelter, for free. Knocking down a star because prices are a little higher than other clinics ($78 is the exam fee) but they are a cat specialty clinic so it makes sense. I would highly recommend bringing your cat here!

Office visit is $78. Which was about 15 minutes of the doctor's time. Cats Exclusive is $61 for standard half hour visit. The parking lot has 4 very tiny spots. They have an office cat that roams the office and will enter exam rooms if the door is open. It just adds to the stress of my cat to see it loose and me to have to be on the lookout for it. I brought my cat in, same day appointment, for a flare up of a well established ongoing condition. I waned to do the 'usual' for her flare ups and get the ointment the doctor suggested at a previous visit. My cat got good care

The members of the vet tech staff, front desk staff, and the vets are amazing! Anne, at the front desk, especially has been so great! She is always laid-back, friendly, sympathetic, and genuine. My cat Piper has a lot of special needs and Dr. Nevin has been endlessly patient and wonderful working with her. Definitely love the staff here! Also love the two resident cats, Azure and Izi. :)

I really can't say enough good things about this place. From the moment I had initial contact with the receptionist, I was met with empathy and a plan of action. My cat has been suffering for 2 months from blockage, he had the PU surgery and then began to show signs of a uti. Ugh! I was at the end of my rope trying to find a vet with answers. One vet prescribed an antibiotic that didn't work. Another vet suggested a muscle relaxer and suggested I make my home less stressful.
But when I brought my cat to see Dr Angel, I got a solution right away. Her demeanor was really excellent. The

I took my cat here for the first time today, she was having some leg/hip trouble. I called and they were able to book me an appointment the very next day. Everyone was incredibly kind -- the woman I spoke to on the phone, everyone at the front, the vet techs, and the doctor. Dr. Mahoney saw my cat and she was great, she listened to my worried babbling about my cat and did a thorough exam. I told her I didn't want to spend too much on costly treatments, which she entirely understood. (Luckily, my cat's diagnosis was good!)

Great first visit. In regards to all the comments about surprise pricing, they literally give a pre-invoice and walk you through any of the charges before moving forward. Not only that, when I asked about pricing for spay/neuter over the phone, the first thing they mentioned (in a humble way) is that since it's a specialized clinic that it will be more cost friendly to go through a standard veterinary clinic. So I really think if costs weren't discussed to reconsider the strong words said as it could have been a simple mix up :)
Aside from costs, the main reason I'm leaving a review

I love, love, love this place!
My cats have always hated going to the vet (read this as completely FREAK OUT when they have to go the vet), but at the Cat Clinic they a slightly more at ease, and there is not quite as much blood. :) I really think that the lack of dogs (this is a cat-only clinic) really helps my furry children.
The people here always take good care of the cats and definitely know how to handle even irritable/non-happy cats.
Two down-sides (and the reason for the 4 stars): First, there is a front-desk woman with glasses and short blonde hair that has been quite rude and harsh

I've gone here a few times with 2 different cats and I find the staff kind and knowledgeable. It's as clean as a cat clinic could be with a couple of house kitties that appear to be stoked and login life.
The doctors are thorough, take their time with me and my cats and seem genuinely interested about their day to day life and health. I think it's a bit pricey, but so it goes with aging animals I guess.
