Would not credit us when we got wrong item in carryout. Been going here 30+ years. Horrible management.

I ordered carry out because that is the only thing they offer. I haven't had Mandarin Garden for quite a awhile and was pretty excited for it. I went in to get my order and as they read my order back to me it was incorrect. I asked if I could please have the pot stickers, instead of the wontons, now mind you, I don't know if it was my fault, maybe I ordered the wrong thing when I called, or it could have been theirs, I don't know. Either way, what I think was the owner came out to berate me along with the poor kid at the cash register. It was really uncomfortable. I mean it was a mistake regardless

Best Mongolian Beef and very good egg rolls but unfortunately it's currently carry out only,if you don't live in the area, it really sucks! People need to apply for a serving job because that's the hold up on why indoor dining has not started back up! 😒

Expensive and terrible. The sweet & sour chicken tasted like flour and nothing else. The beef with Chinese vegetables was over salted with mushy beef, soft broccoli and carrots, some bamboo shoots & gravy. The fried rice was pale and flavorless.

We've been a customer for years but will no longer be. We got our regular fried rice and Mongolian beef last night for our anniversary. It tasted horrible, color and texture was off too. We called but they had already closed. We called today once they opened to ask for a refund and they are refusing to refund us since we didn't leave a voicemail last night and already tossed the food away. They want us to bring the food back today to prove and get a refund. Owner/manager was very rude, arguing with us that the order was cooked properly because no one else complained and hung up on me

Absolutely love this place. When our children are home, this is their food of choice. My wife and I get take out weekly. It’s so consistent and delicious. If there were more stars, I would give them.

So we had been ordering from this place regularly- if not weekly then every other week. Initially we thought wow really good food.. but it seems the quality is taking a nose dive- not to mention a really really arrogant manager. So what happened was I literally called and asked for the exact same order i ordered last time. One of the dishes was beef with Chinese vegetables. I asked for less sauce since one time when i ordered this dish it was like 60% sauce. So today i open it and at least 1/3 of the box is empty. And also, still tons of sauce. I called to let them know, thinking theyd at least

Very disappointed with spending almost $50 for below average food and smaller dinner portions. I ordered the shrimp toast as an appetizer, which was very greasy! I also ordered multiple sizzling rice soups, which where bland and a couple of grains of rice included. I also order some other main dishes which came with one small order of rice to share for multiple meals. The main dishes where very slimy, absolutely no seasoning and mushy. The food was unappealing I had to throw most of it away. What a waste of $50! Not to mention I have a headache now. The girl who handed out the food at the

First time eating here and I WILL be back!! I tried their spicy general tso's chicken and sizzling rice soup and it did not disappoint! They weren't open for dining but ordering and pick up was a seamless experience. The two ladies that checked me out were amazing as well, so kind, polite, and friendly. Very pleased overall!

I have been a fan of Mandarin Garden since they opened. I always tell myself I'm going to order something different each time, but 90% of the time I order Mongolian Beef, egg rolls and Sizzling Rice soup. You can't go wrong with any entre. Enjoy!

This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Illinois. I've traveled wide and far and have not found anything better.

The hot oil, Mongolian Beef, and Chicken with Chinese Vegetables are out of this world.

Not to mention this business has been in BloNo for over 20 years now.

The family that owns and operates this place is fantastic. Coming back as many times as possible.

Walking into Mandarin Garden is like walking back into the 1980s or '90s. That's not a bad thing. I'm simply saying Mandarin Garden is an old style Chinese restaurant. The food is good (best Mongolian beef around), the wait staff friendly, the tea hot, and the atmosphere comfortable. I enjoy dining here and will be back.

The best Chinese restaurant I've ever had. My family has been eating here for over 10 years and it has never disappointed. The prices may be high but it is WELL worth it. You pay for quality. If you're looking for cheap Chinese that you can get anywhere else, this isn't for you. But if you want fresh delicious and authentic Chinese, this is it.

The sizzling rice is so good each person in my family gets their own "Soup for 2".

The pork egg rolls are incredible and crispy, never had any as good.

Horrible service and food. Disrespectful employees and below average food.

We came in Sunday afternoon. I did the buffet and my friend ordered from the menu. Before the whole incident happened, I would give them a 3 stars for food anyways. The food was very salty, overusing powder (the food is slimy you know what I mean), and typical American Chinese food with nothing authentic.

Here comes the big act of drama. My friend tried a bite of my egg roll from the buffet. Two different staff confronted me about it. And they came to tell my friend that they would charge her an egg roll on her bill

My usual Chinese take out (Orient Garden) closed so I tried Mandarin Garden. Food was ready faster than they predicted so that was a nice surprise.
I'm staying in a hotel and asked for plates & forks. They gave me 2 plates and said the forks were in the bag. Only 1 fork. I had Mongolian chicken and they put it in a paper box instead of the usual plastic container most places use. The portion was small for dinner and it wasn't very good. Crab Rangoon's were oddly shaped but tasted ok. It was expensive for the quality and portion size. I won't be back.

My food was OK but not any better than any other average Chinese/American restaurant. The wait person greeted us and seemed pleasant enough, at first. She got my order WRONG! After I pointed that out to her she spent the rest of the meal being passive aggressive, condescending and rude! The real kicker was, I found out later, SHE IS THE OWNER!?!?! Interesting! I spent almost $60.00 on myself alone on my appetizers and dinner and she had the nerve to have an attitude after SHE made a mistake! Avoid the attitude and get your average "Chinese" dinner somewhere else. From the entitled

Consistently the best Chinese food in town. The Sunday buffet is an amazing deal with a small but superior selection of food. The food is always piping hot and delicious. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, and the staff is very professional and friendly. Give it a try, and you won't be disappointed

I've had take out more times than I can count. Far and away the best Chinese food in town. I have been eating here for near 18 years and the food has never disappointed.

Now for the dine in experience i would have to rate 3 stars the restaurant is just oddly quiet and something is just off about the ambiance. Food is still great the restaurant itself just needs an overhaul.

The food was okay, very expensive. The rice was cold and tasted dried out like it was sitting there for a long time. I got chicken cashew and while the taste was okay I didn't feel like there was a lot of chicken in the dish and the sauce was almost a jello-y like texture.

The spring rolls were good, but almost $5 for 2 spring rolls? Unreal. The seating/dining area is very cramped. I don't understand why you have to sit us next to a table with people when the whole restaurant is empty.

3 stars because the food is good.
Besides that, the lady who owns the place is very rude. She charges for a refill & that's ridiculous. Then the waitress got our order wrong & when I tried to send it back she wouldn't. Our waitress is very nice & the owner told her if we wanted a new one our waitress would have to pay for it. The owner is very ignorant & mean. I've been coming here for years & she's gotten meaner.

I had the exact experience as R K. I will NEVER RETURN to this restaurant or suggest it to anyone.

My father and I ordered 2 different entrees (at a high price) that looked and tasted identical! The dishes were supposed to be spicy and instead we each received a bland pile of mush. Our fried rice was still very much white and also quite bland.

After how awful my meal tasted, I couldn't eat it. My server asked what was wrong and I told her it was not good. She said sorry and just took it away. Meanwhile, I'm starving and down $25.

I decided to let the responsible looking woman at
