Pay close attention to the red flags surrounding Stratford Wood. The friendly staff will do their best to lure you in with false promises, free coffee, and cookies. They will paint you a beautiful picture of a safe, tight-knit community within the cozy ambiance of the common areas, where they conduct their business. Make no mistake - vacancies rates remain high for good reason. This property has been owned and sold by 3 separate management companies in the last 2 years (Waterton Residential, Village Green, and now Pinnacle). I have never, in my 10+ years of renting, lived at such a shady establishment or rented from such glaringly dishonest property management companies like Village Green and Pinnacle. The sheer size of their lease, with its many pages of buried addendums, should have clued me into their total lack of transparency. Despite being one of the few people who actually reads a lease before signing, I still ended up being screwed in the end. I expressly asked the leasing agent about the possibility of subletting my apartment in the future. The agent pointed out a clause within the lease and assured me that
