Back in January we brought in Oscar, our cat, to Dr. Shaun and the team at Hillsdale Veterinary Hospital, for dental work. From prior exams and check-ups, we knew Oscar needed to have some of his teeth removed, as he's an older cat with poor teeth.
During one of the pre-dental work exams, Dr. Shaun took his time, with out rushing, in a very concise and easy to understand way, to explain the procedures, using a little model of a cat's jaw for demonstration purposes.While I really didn't expect Oscar's personality and behavior to chance, the thought of our little family member being in constant discomfort was just not an option for his continued cat-life.

Our veterinarians have extensive surgical experience in soft-tissue surgery as well as select orthopedic procedures. Board-certified surgeon Dr. Tom Van Gundy is also available by appointment at our practice for advanced orthopedic and soft-tissue cases. During surgery, your pet's safety and comfort is our first priority.
We offer an array of diagnostic testing and partner with many specialists in the area to ensure you have many options when caring for your pet. Idexx Laboratories provides most of our clinical diagnostic testing including blood work, urinalysis, histopathology and more.
We also have full in-house laboratory capabilities, including an Idexx Lasercyte Hematology Analyser and Catalyst One Blood Chemistry Analyzer for both emergency and routing testing.We utilize a digital x-ray system with a high frequency x-ray tube head enabling us to produce images of superior diagnostic quality capable of being stored as either DICOM or jpeg files.

I just called to request my dogs rabies vaccination record. Elizabeth answered and while I told her why I was calling, she had already used my phone number to pull up my pets information and she simply asked if it was for "Sophie" and if I would like to use the email address she had in front of her. It seems so simple for her to do this but how many times do we punch in an account or social security number on a phone tree only to have to give it again to the human once we get through? This type of efficiency is exactly what I experience each time I use Hillsdale Veterinary Hospital. Thank you!

Blown away at the level of concern and care their staff extends! Our dog is not a patient of this clinic, but when she became sick and our usual vet wasn’t available, they went above and beyond to help. If they begin taking new clients again, we’ll definitely be first in line. Really extraordinary - thank you!

Dr. Eric and the team at Hillsdale Vet have provided exemplary care of our beloved cat child for the past 3 years. Our cat has gotten one dental cleaning, as well as yearly wellness care and one emergency visit during this time. Dr. Eric is a cat dad himself and has a wonderful gentleness to his care. My family postponed our annual visit due to the pandemic by a handful of months until this week. I was impressed by their safety measures of parking lot drop off/pick up with phone consult during the examination. It was hard not being with our fuzzy baby during the exam but it went beautifully smooth

This is a smaller office. I brought my cat when he had a laceration under his arm and the wound needed stitches. They were able to fit me in same day on a Saturday, was so grateful. They took good care of my little guy and he is good as new. The waiting area is small so scared little kitties maybe exposed to large enthusiastic dogs. Just something to be aware of. I appreciated the beverage station.
