I helped my brother apply for this place and was denied and never got the holding deposit back. We were working with the leasing agent Samantha M. It’s been over a month! We called once a couple of weeks ago and was told that they’ll call me back, and never received a call back. I’ve been calling multiple times a day now with no answer, leaving voicemails and they are not being returned. This is extremely unprofessional that you guys are playing with our money and time, but I will do everything in my power to let others know how your leasing agents handle business.
Update 10/21: they finally

I would give it a 0 star!!! I don't not I repeat DONT NOT RECOMMEND this place! Worse please to move to. Their employees are very rude. After living there unfortunately for a year they left me a notice of 3 days about re-signing my lease or not and if I would of re-signed it I was just going to save $20 like is this some kinda of joke! Within living there for just a year a lot of weird stuff was starting to happen. And now saw that there was a shooting. Glad I move! Please do not move here! There are plenty of other better places to live to. Think about your safety first!

My father has lived at this property since it was built in 1988. He has been a great tenant, always pays his rent on time and no complaints from residents. He recently received a notice that his rent was going to be increased by $300. Thats outrageous, all this time during Covid he paid his rent on time and this is what Fairlame Meadows decides to do to reward its residents. My dad is 86, a USMC veteran this is horrible treatment. Unfortunately Michigan doesn’t have laws capping the amount of rent increase. That’s over a 30 percent increase from what he’s currently paying. I spoke to the

I'm currently a tenant at a townhouse here which I pay $1800 a month for and am very disappointed at the amount of rats that are infested all over the property grounds here. I have multiple videos on my cell phone of LARGE rats crawling all over the outsides of the apartments and the dumpsters not to mention the dead rats in the drive way that was ran over by cars that do not get picked up. It's truly disgusting and I highly suggest no one lives here unless you really like rats. There was also a possum that chased after my dog in the middle of the night so lots of rodents.

Continuing to enjoy my townhouse living. The beautiful grounds are well maintained and makes you feel like you're living in a park. The maintenance is great and the speed of addressing the issues is phenomenal. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings

Was living there and enjoyed it so much that I stayed with the same company Hayman when I moved to Plumtree Apartments in Lansing. Check it out for yourself and fall in love with place and appreciate the staff promptness to take care of you.

Samantha is very helpful and knowledgeable of the community. Fairlane is close to all major shopping which makes it convenient as well. Overall Fairlane Meadows is a very convenient location and there is always so much you can do in the area.

The staff is rude, specially the blond young girl, she will never help at all. At this time the business center is closed due to Coronavirus and I asked to print a document and they denied the service, but of course you still need to pay for everything. Also, the trash valet service is mandatory payment, but you will receive the service 2 per week (if you're lucky) even when they say is 5 days per week. The place is very expensive for the service you will receive. I recommend to find any other place before take a lease here.

Very convenient location if you are working at Ford. Lots of nearby supermarkets like target and Walmart. The apartments however are old and have very old appliances. Also be prepared to see an exorbitant utilities bill all year long.

Nice place to live but very very rude staff when requesting/reporting a maintenance issue. They have this one dumb guy in their main office that doesn't know anything about "customer service". I will give him the chance and not mention his name, maybe he will see this and learn his lesson.

The office staff is rude.
The rent is too high for small space, and increases with every renewal.
There is a “valet trash” service that is mandatory - in which residents are charged 25$ / month to have their trash picked up outside their door. Which has resulted in bags of trash outside peoples doors all the time. I don’t think there was any input from residents when this service began. My dumpster is very close to my apartment and I don’t need the valet service.
Most recently, when they came around to pick up the trash bags, one of the bags busted and they just left it outside my apartment

When I was apartment hunting I came across Fairlane Meadows. Leasing off must have gotten my info from apartment website I was using and they reached out to me. I responded based upon reviews I am not interested but thank you.

Now I know I made the right decision when you get an email back that says "People typically leave bad reviews when they don't receive what they want" Id rather see an apartment complex own it and tell what they can do for me. Just sharing my experience

ZERO START OR COULD HAVECHOSEN NEGATIVE START IF GOOGLE ALLOWS ME. The property manager " Fakhouri" is pretty uncooperative and most worst person in globe. Her intention is to cheat existing renters.
Management is pathetic especially the manager " Fakhouri". She is so rude. Everything seemed good until new management took over. Without consent they started charging the residents $25/month for Garbage pick-up. Not a lot of the resident utilizes this service and this is just a quick way to grab more money from its residents.
The management office couldn't find my Renters insurance information which I provided them previously. Instead of contacting me they started charging me $10/month, I get it you want my money! At least have some common sense to notify your customer/residents.
The management also started charging $5 a month for paper bill

The manager does not do anything to help us. We have had bug issues that they keep charging us extra for on top of the pest sprays they charge monthly that do not work. Everything always breaks on us even though we were supposed to have good apartment with nice new things. They lie and tell you its luxury living but all we got were bugs and dirty community with broken and worn out everything! :-(

I find the resident community impersonal and disengaging. Upstairs neighbors are noisy at night. My apartment had paint spatters all over the floor from repainting before I moved in, and workers did not clean up after themselves. My apartment has poor insulation; there was a draft all winter from the doors. The refrigerator compressor is noisy. The rent is too high for my needs and I will not renew my lease.

This place is beautiful, new, well equipped , BUT, it has terrible insulation between apartments.

I can hear my neighbors phone vibration at night!

Every other day my upper neighbor wakes me up at 12 AM just by walking on the apartment over me, and there's nothing really to do about it!

So unless you're having hearing loss, this is an extremely noisy apartment complex to live in!

I like living here. It is a short drive to Ford Motor Company, grocery stores, and Detroit. Maintenance has been responsive, though sometimes they have to come back because the job was not completed the first time. Appliances are generally a little older but they get the job done, no complaints there. Management seems to be trying hard and my only wish here is for more community events. Fitness room is very outdated but better than nothing.

Disclaimer: Though the thoughts here are completely my own, Fairlane Meadow is offering a $25 rent discount for residents who write positive reviews, which
