The people who work at the office are usually very helpful and quick to respond. But their superiors and the company who owns the building seem to have forgotten about this apartment complex.
We have been having serious security issues that are not being given attention to, or any suggestions for solutions. We are encouraged to post our problems on a facebook group where the upper management is the admin and they have deleted posts demanding answers - especially one regarding an apartment that has had a BREAK IN. I hate to give this place a low rating but the problems are really starting to stack up. The actual apartments are great and the location in the Marina is perfect. But over the last year and a half, a lot has gone downhill. There have been numerous instances of theft and vandalism to the apartments, cars, and bikes. All of the surrounding apartments have consistent security... this building does not. Sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't. Many residents, myself included, have had numerous discussions with the apartment managers about adding security cameras, and security on site and no action

We didn't end up living here because we found a better fit for us, but we wanted to leave a review about our experience, especially with Noah.
Noah was absolutely amazing on so many fronts. He was so friendly and was in constant communication with us. We were so impressed with how well he represented Harborside.
I encourage others to look into this place!

Let me start off by saying, I LOVE HARBORSIDE!
The staff and community are absolutely amazing. The office and maintenance team are communicative, efficient, and genuinely good people, which is a breath of fresh air in Los Angeles. Every time I come to the office for a work order request or a question, the staff are happy to help and listen to my concerns. I have had to deal with terrible property staff before at my previous apartment complex, but I can definitely tell the Harborside team truly care and prioritize their residents. Also, you have to meet Phoenix- she is absolutely fabulous!

What looks like a nice complex along the water is actually infested with drug dealers and felons. I've lived her for years and during the last year I have feared for my life multiple times.
One unit deals drugs all day, has loud parties going until 5am every night of the week. Multiple residents have complained and nothing has been done. Management wont do anything about it, and it has been ongoing for over 8 months now. There is on site security, but if you call them they say they can't do anything. Only solution is to move out or just not move in at all.

I am a current resident at Harborside Marina Bay, and could not be happier. The apartments are spacious and gorgeous. Residents are polite and conscientious to all wear masks around the property. Best of all is the staff employed by Harborside, they are friendly, helpful and all go the extra mile to provide exceptional service. The one time I had a service request it was attended to almost immediately. Would highly recommend, I would rate 6 starts if I could!

The whole staff and especially the manager phoenix were so helpful when it came to my move in. Making the whole process way easier than the surrounding apartments in the area. Phoenix was very attentive to my needs and extremely professional. I can't thank her enough and I would give this place more stars if I could.

This is my first official apartment rental ever. This place popped up on our search results and we had to see it! From the moment we called the office to now writing the review, Harborside Marina Bay has been excellent and it’s all owed to Katrina. She even met with us during her lunch break. Maintenance shows up almost right away for any needs. They’ve been nothing but sweet, accommodating, and patient as I definitely annoyed them over the simplest things. But it showed their care and did it efficiently. They’ve answered every call, addressed every concern, and provided us a with a home

Ever since the new management company (and new owners) took over in late 2019, things have gone south. There's a reason they had to do a town hall at the request of the many angry tenants, but the result was nothing but empty promises. I've lived here for more than 4 years and was happy, but will move out now.

Mean Bullys!! Boaters Stay away!! I bought a Yacht that has been docked at Harborside Marina for 6 years. After 3 weeks Doug the Dockmaster and Phoenix the Property Manager started threatening me saying they were going to have the Sheriff tow the Boat. I let them know I was having the Carbeurator rebuilt and would need a few more days. How did the Mean
Bullys Respond- Doug tells me that if I go on my Boat again he will have me arrested for Trespassing.
I also have texts as proof of this awful Behavior. This is a Beautiful Classic Yacht and Marinas in Marina Del Rey wont accept Wooden Boats.

Apartment staff is professional, responsive, and accommodating. Maintenance requests handled promptly. Issues regarding the building already known and/or being worked on when raised. Lovely people works here.
Sunsets on the marina and Venice Beach is a painting. Perfect for walking breaks or after work run. Location among the best in LA: walk to Venice Pier, Abbott McKinney, and the restaurants and bars dotting the marina. Short drive to Santa Monica, Manhattan Beach, Malibu, etc.
Residents very mellow. Almost feels as if the building is vacant sometimes.
Overall the best option in Marina Del

I normally don't write reviews, especially for apartment complexes, however I wanted to give credit where credit is due! My experience with Harborside and its amazing staff (Katrina specifically) has been nothing short of quick, easy and overall really stress-free, which is saying something when you're planning to move during a pandemic.
From the very beginning, Katrina was lovely and made herself available (even during her lunch break) for us to view our future apartment. Our unit wasn't available yet because the tenant was still living there, however she showed us an exact duplicate

Hands down the best staff EVER. Ever since day one they've gone way above and beyond to help us feel at home and well taken care of. The staff here is friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond to any request - no matter how small - and they all truly have a passion for what they do, and you can feel that in every aspect of the Avalon. The apartments are clean and the views and amenities are spectacular and thoroughly looked after and maintained by the entire staff. We looked at nearly every other apartment option in the Marina before deciding on the Avalon - and almost every day we say how happy

Service here is always top notch. Michelle runs a good crew. Everyone I've worked with is friendly and helpful. Anthony and Alberto are great too. They have been very patient with me as I get used to living in an apartment and have requests and questions. This is my first time living in an apartment in more than 20 years. I have to say I really do enjoy living here. I'd recommend Avalon Marina Bay.
