Poor experience after poor experience, they try to make up for somethings such as my air conditioning being broke my first 2 weeks i moved in for the price you pay and mandatory insurance it’s useless you are paying for the look of the inside the apartment. I have videos of every time it rains in two of my rooms i have over $2000 in damage that was not covered under the insurance because property told them it was “normal wear and tear” i would not have renewed my lease had I knew that. How could rain coming through the roof normal? Cant wait to leave this place when my lease is up

This place used to be called Cedarbrook and everything was well managed. The rent was reasonable with water included.
Later Beztak took over and changed the name to Auburn Gate. Nothing is good after that. They raised the rent and charged water separately at about $94/mon for an apartment without showing actual usage. I bought a new construction house in RH and moved out in 2018. My current water bill is only about $88 for two months, ~$120 for two mon in the summer with sprinklers running. Right after I moved out they didn't send bills to my forwarding address but to a collection agency. Luckily

I stayed here for 5 years and I’ve enjoyed my stay. In my opinion, the newest staff here has been the best. The management/leasing team are very responsive and helpful. The maintenance staff are really cool people too. Always speaking and helping when needed. The neighborhood for the most part is quiet, I’ve only known of a few incidents that have occurred here, and the neighbors that I’ve had were very pleasant.
There are cons but not a ton and the few are mostly me nitpicking. Parking can become a headache if you don’t have a garage, luckily I did. Living on the first floor, I did have

In 2020 I had raccoons in my ceiling and I heard them shredding. They even found dead bodies of raccoons. I advised the apartment multiple times in email correspondence, after months they resolved the raccoons and removed them. They did not bother to address the stain I told them about over and over again. I have documented proof of these emails. I heard the rain on my drywall but they told me I'm mistaken and it's the roof. Well now, I woke up with buckets of water on my floor and my personal computer ruined. I called at 9:13, and was advised maintenance would be right out ASAP. At 12

I have never recieved such horrible customer service I'm my life, especially when paying such a large amount for rent. The Communication amongst the office staff is non existent, nobody takes accountability when they drop the ball. The office staff is very rude and condescending. Maintenance takes a lifetime to fix things. Keep an eye on you move… in and move out cost, they will add extras. My final issue was my move out weekend. Long story short, the office approved use of a POD several days before my move with all the pertinent info being provided (I've seen these used several time here

I recommend this place because of their maintenance team. They were very quick. Mr. Karl stopped by my apartment with a gentle knock on the door at the time the state of Michigan is fighting CoVid-19. Karl was very professional wearing virus protection equipment for his safety and mine. He then asked few "protocol" questions before he entered my apartment and started his job. I was grateful that Karl is working during this time. I was grateful that there was a protocol to follow safety. Thank you Karl.

The apartments are fine, but the management is aggressively horrible. My primary list of complaints: -They leave parking spots unplowed to the point where they are unusable -They do not enforce speed limits - It took them a year and half to fix the problem of only having one dumpster at the front. So people either put their trash in their nice… cars (very un-luxury) or the hang them from their side mirrors and then leave a trail of trash through the complex. -They do not replace HVAC filters often enough to be healthy (I lived here 2 years and I had to ask them to replace the filter after

Current resident... my car was broken into last night and they actually took my sunglasses and through my stuff... no cameras or any other type of security... Good luck if you plan on moving in! They pretty much couldn't care less when I went to management! I received a shrug and a smile like it was no big deal.

This has been stated several times in previous reviews, but my only issues with living here is the parking/garage situation and timeliness of attending to major maintenance requests.
I've been told for over a year that I would have a garage assigned to me. Every time I stop in the office to inquire, I am given a different excuse:
First it was that they were still working on assigning them. Then it was that the former tenants of the garage assigned to me still had not vacated it. Then it was that they were waiting on the remote to be returned. Then the electricity was out for the garage

One of the main reasons I chose Auburn Gate was the availability of enclosed carports. When I signed my lease the woman said there was 1 garage available and that I'd be 1st on the list to get it.... well that was a year and a half ago! I stop into the front office every couple months to inquire about the garage and I get the same generic response. One time I even talked to the woman who was taking care of assigning garages and she said "I'd be taken care of next", this was about 5 months ago.
Normally parking wouldn't be such a big deal, but not at Auburn Gate where

Don't believe the fake good reviews. The front office does raffles when residents post reviews of the apartments, so I would say most of the good reviews are fake and just for the raffle. Here's my experience at Auburn Gate. Warning: long post, but worth the read for a real look into these apartments. My husband and I moved here for a summer job, and thank goodness we are almost done because living here has been a huge hassle and a headache. We moved here with 5 other couples and it seems we all had very similar negative experiences. Here's all of the things that went wrong in just

I've been a resident for 3 years, so that already says a lot. First two years, under other management, were normal like any other place. However, the third year, management change and there was a significant improvement. From the maintenance to the system of payments, it has been just an overall upgrade. I'm seeking a 4th year here, because there's no better apartments. Location, management, maintenance, price, everything is just the best you can find. Highly recommend!

Wow! What a rude leasing staff!
A gentleman answered and said "Hello, Auburn Gate...", and I asked for pricing and availability and he hung up on me (I heard the receiver slam down and everything). They must not be doing too well after their third name/management change within the last 2-3 years (used to be Lake Village of Auburn Hills and then Cedarbrooke).
