Cool spot on Lake Norman where small concerts are held on the top floor, another area below for drinks and dining just on the water. Boats can pull up and have easy access with plenty of boat docks available. I had the ahi tuna wrap which was fresh with a good mix of dressing, some Wasabi would have help pick up some spice. The Brussel sprouts with candied bacon where tasty but a bit too greasy.

Really good food but the wait was terrible. I think the restaurant is understaffed because it seemed like our server had the entire outdoor patio to serve. Besides that, very nice overall atmosphere with the lake right there, TVs playing sports, and general laid back environment.
Food was delicious! I got the Breaded Soft Shell Crab Sandwich and the breaded crab was perfectly crispy and the bread was warm and buttery. I also got fries on the side which were delicious as well. The margarita was on the sugary side but the salt rim helped balance that out. Overall good quality food!

Sooo there was no way for me to leave a review without clicking a star...I tried to leave no stars!!!After waiting 15 or 20mins for a server to come to our table for drink orders we went ahead and ordered apps...well less just says they were awful! My "give me some skins" came out dry and overcooked. My friends ordered Nachos (one with chicken and one with pork) they both said they weren't good. My other friend ordered the pretzel and said the only thing good was the cheese sauce. Our waitress only came once to give us refills and I declined. After going to the counter and telling

Wait was EXTREMELY long. Yes—-it was a Saturday night, but it seems as though the girls at the front didn’t know what was going on. The shrimp dinner was delicious. I ordered a Moscow mule and it was pretty good, but the real bummer of the evening was pictured below 👇🏻 My friend ordered the exact same beverage, charged the exact same, and got a drink double the size of mine. When we approached the bartender, he said “well it’s got the same amount of alcohol. Went here this past weekend and had a great time! Christie (The Manager) was busting her tail and did a great job with our large group! She was fun, friendly, hardworking, and helpful. She'd probably give you the shirt off her back if you wanted it!.. It's hard to find people to work reliably in today's society but this manager works hard with her coworkers to keep the business successful!

So it has been four years since my last update and I'm still coming back. You can find better food other places, but the atmosphere is what makes it unique. It feels like a neighborhood hang out with most people no one at least somebody else here.
They're short staffed just like everybody else but they try really really hard.
Go ahead and wait in line next-door door or you can swing by here make new friends and have a great time. Live music most nights.

Great place to eat when your either out in the boat enjoying the lake or just walking in. The food was great, they had a band which made it very enjoyable. Our waiter Kevin was such a wonderful young man and greeted us with smile to die for even as busy as they were and young ladies he's single and about to be a fireman. I can't wait to make it back down there.

Food was decent but service was lousy. Had to flag down waitress for every refill and got charged for a mostly empty pint of beer when the keg blew. We had a group of 14 but it took 40 minutes to get the bill together. Marked off the automatic 20% gratuity but they charged it to my CC anyways. Beware.

Try the Mahi Mahi fish tacos with cilantro rice. Be sure to spritz some fresh sliced lime onto everything.
Try the stuffed potato skins smothered in pulled pork.

Food was delicious. When asked some regulars whats good here, they said everything, and did not lie. Pictured is the large pepperoni calzone which went for 16$. A big portion, had some leftover. Ordered at the bar and it was packed (Saturday at dinner time) so took some time to place the order. Waitress brought the food to the boat creating a pleasant experience. Would recommend and do it again.

Loved Apps and Taps. First of all, it's Monday and they're open so that warrants 4 stars; and they serve liquor on Monday. From out of town and everything is closed Sunday which is fine, but come on Monday. Let's go. They had really good food. I'd say surprisingly good, but never been here before. I'm from MR and skeptically got the soft crab sanwich and it was reallllllyy good. Fresh. All of our food was creative, fresh and wasn't too over priced. Not the cheapest, but it was good. Annnnnd OPEN!!

Ate at this wonderful establishment for dinner this week and was BLOWN AWAY! The man in the kitchen must be a genius! I ordered the fried oysters and trio for my appetizers, a draft beer for my drink, and salmon for my main meal. The rest of my family got the mahi tacos, Hawaiian pizza, po boy, and the lobster dinner and everyone loved every bite! Our server Paris was very polite and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Great experience overall 11/10 recommend.

Apps and Taps has the best menu of the Lake Norman waterfront restaurants. The selection is huge and not overpriced. The fried zucchini was crispy and not too heavy. The wings with "secret sauce" were just the right amount of sweet and heat! My husband was a big fan. The shrimp tacos were delicious with a huge portion of well prepared shrimp. Food came out fast and our server was excellent. She couldn't have been more pleasant. I wish I remembered her name.

Stopped in for gas and lunch today with the family during our lake day. Service was great and everyone was so friendly. My dad is on a walker so he could not sit at the high top tables, the hostess was so kind. She moved what she was working on on the booth tables just so we could sit there. The food was also amazing. The scallops were DELICIOUS !!! The mojitos were great too. Can't wait to come back !

I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and fries which I thought was great!
My wife wasn't a huge fan of the fish sliders, saying the fish was over cooked.
Our server was very nice and attentive. However, we waited 20 minutes after we were finished eating before I had to go inside and ask for our bill. That was a little bit irritating considering how slow it was.

Spending Father's Day with friends boating on Lake Norman and this water front jewel was recommended. Eventually got a spot to park the boat since there are only a few stalls.
I read some of the reviews before ordering food which actually impacted my decision since I was aching to try the Lobster Roll but went with the Shark bites and Beef Sliders. My friends ordered a few a appetizers (i.e Wings, Cheese Pizza). The cheese pizza looks like something from an elementary school cafeteria wasn't the best but good drunk food . Wings were great, Beef Sliders, Wraps, food overall gets .
