You won't see any pre-packaged food in our kitchen. Made fresh each day. No tomato paste used. The Dressing? Made from scratch using olive oil, red vinegar, and seasonings whipped into a creamy consistency. Vegetables? Cooked "Al Dente" to retain the nutrients, texture, and natural flavor. Pasta? Our pasta is made from scratch in house!

Pictured here, lovely review readers, is what was named the "jumbo shrimp special" when in fact these "shrimp" eat and taste of lobster, surpassing the humble prawn and taking the form of a colossal langoustine. But I'm no marine scientist and I digress... Alas, I finally tried Positano after 2 years of wondering and I am WoWed! This is takeout and it is immaculate. The temperature and freshness from store to my door were eat in quality. I legit manifesting this experience by inquiring about a creamy seafood pasta to satisfy my weeks long craving, as there is none listed

We have gone to Caffe Positano's for many years and have always loved the food, the atmosphere and the great service. In the spring we noticed that things seemed to be slacking a little and more than once left a little disappointed. Tonight we went and we really got disappointed. We got seated immediately and after a twenty minute wait I got the attention of the young lady that seated us and asked if there was a server for our table. It's been a while but I made it back to Cafe pasitanos tonight, in business's for atleast 20 years, I've been here with dates, family from out of town, parties, or just a casual pizza night. The service, atmosphere, and food are all above average. Recipes and ingridients are fresh and the live music and a large dining room with indoor and outdoor seating is usually quick to seat. Food is very good. They are very kind and fast, and also quick to solve any problems you might have! Nice environment. And they have great service, and there are never problems like forgetting your order or anything. At one point they gave us free champagne for having to wait a few minutes, and also gave us nice little seating place to wait in! Overall, had no problems here! 5 stars.

My husband and I have been frequenting this wonderful restaurant since moving here 12 years ago. I took a chance (it's my husband's birthday and I thought I'd order something other than their staples. I chose the combination seafood linguine in a light marinara sauce. I've been ordering their pies for nearly 15 years...I stepped out tonight and was NOT disappointed!!! Omg, it was absolutely incredible. Calamari was tender, everything in the dish was perfection.

Good food but one of the staff is extremely racist.He was nice to others but very rude to us (browns).. Didn’t expect this because the waiting staff was actually nicer.. Views are great, but our experience was truly horrible and I’d recommend another restaurant with similar views throughout the village..

We had a group of 10 that had dinner there tonight. The waiters were awesome. Right on top of getting drinks, bringing refills; polite, courteous and attentive. The food was great! I had their special which was a chicken breast(s) covered in a pesto sauce with mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes. It came with fresh, tasteful vegetables and a potato croquette. The food never disappoints, but the wait staff tonight blew me away. They were great!

The View is the only good thing… my spaghetti with zucchini were too greasy, they were swimming in oil, the Food of my Friends was like from the microwave and the rose tasted like vinegar. We Missed our Bus because we waited 30min for the Check while 4 waiters asked us if we want the check. At least they didnt charge Me for the Spaghetti but nevertheless - you should enjoy the view from another restaurant to from the Steps…

If you are going to Positano prepared for expensive meals.
Caffe Positano is located outside the city center, and has a great view on Positano.
Ask to be sited downstairs as the view is beautiful and you won’t hear street noises.
The waiters are not properly train for the price of the service they charge you. The first approach is not polite nor they seem to value your business, we tried to ask for help few time and the waiter did not speak nor acknowledge us.
We were later approached by another waiter that seemed more helpful and friendly.
Quick note: be clear of what you want and expect

We stopped here for the view, first, but then to get a drink to cool off after the climb up the hill from the pier. We just got smoothies & caffe - obviously a little pricey, but still pretty tasty and hit the spot. The smoothie wasn't big, and I think around €10, but it was exactly what we needed. Perfect stop to get our bearings from the top of the hill, catch our breath, refresh, and enjoy the awe-inspiring view.

Judging this restaurant FIVE STARS is a no brainer... The food is always delicious and the restaurant is outfitted with original art that the owner created himself. The overall ambience of the dining room will bring you right to Positano, Italy.
The Beverage offerings give you a strong impression on what good Italian wines should taste like. Nonetheless, the full liquor bar is filled with the perfect mix of brands we all love like Grey Goose, Patron, Crown Royal but they really exceed anyone's expectations when you look at their crafty selections and hard to get whiskeys.

I hesitate to leave this review, but our experience today was just awful. Hubby and I go here at least 2 - 3 times per month for dinner, and usually have a good good meal with good service.
Today was Mother's Day, so we called several days previously to make a reservation for lunch. We arrived early, when almost no one was in the restaurant. Although many tables had reserved signs, apparently none of them was for us, even though the hostess told us our name was at the top of the reservation list, meaning we had booked before most people. The first word that comes to mind is average. There is nothing special or offensive here.
I ordered chicken francese. Maybe I should have went with pasta or pizza. The chicken was okay. It lacked flavor. The vegetables were not cooked enough and needed salt. However, the fried potato cake that came with it was wonderful.
My daughter had cheese pizza. It was pretty good. Once again, it was an average, okay pizza.
The service was fair and the restaurant needs a good deep clean or redesign. Nothing made us want to stop back by.

So happy we found this place a few years ago. This is our go to for good home style family Italian food. The place has the vibe of a family owned classic Italian American restaurant, because it is.
We have tried several dishes and they all are good. I always get linguini with clams in red sauce and pasta fagoli soup. Always good size portions, hot and freshly made dishes.

We used to love coming here years ago. Their pizza was always so good. This time we opted for the pasta - baked penne. It wasn't anything to remember. Lots of cheese and an orange colored sauce that almost looked like it was from a can. It tasted average. Not what I expected.
Service was fast for a sit down restaurant. Our server was efficient. Didn't take any photos because, well, I didn't even think about it.

Sometimes you just need a good pizza. When that is the case I give Caffe Positano a call. After staying home for 60 days their pizza was so good.
The order process was easy as well as the pickup.
The pizza was hot and delicious. My favorite pizza is green olive just the one topping. Caffe Positano is one of the few in the area that have this topping.
