Services
At Taylor Pilates and Fitness, we provide movement experiences appropriate to each client. Your exercises are tailored to your body, your activities, and your goals. All of our instructors maintain current certification in their respective movement fields and stay engaged in their teaching through frequent continuing education.
Pilates is the foundation from which we train clients. Pilates incorporates whole body exercises and core strengthening while introducing you to the principles of breathing, alignment, and movement integration. We want our clients to have a solid foundation for movement training and know how to take the tools they learn in the studio back to their lives.
It is reasonable to think that at some point in the course of your life that an injury may occur. The injury could arise as a result of an accident or through a task or movement done over and over without optimal body mechanics. Regardless of the injury, you probably want and need to return to school, work, exercise, and life.
Pilates has, for a long time, been incorrectly associated with several things. Some people think of it as a stretching method, as requiring only a little effort, as something you only do on a mat in a large class. Others mistakenly think of Pilates and Yoga as being interchangeable practices.

At Taylor Pilates and Fitness we find that our senior clients are relieved to find an exercise method that trains whole body movement, spine articulation, joint mobility, and balance in a welcoming environment. We often find that the length of time someone has been practicing Pilates is a much better indicator of strength and stability than age.

Ashley is a master instructor. This is one of the few places where instructors go to get their bodies trained. She is knowledgeable, professional, sincere, and kind. Her private sessions, classes and her workshops are all fantastic. You will feel safe and cared for in her beautiful studio. The fact that you can be seen by multiple experts for more complete care, in one location, is a huge bonus. I whole heartedly recommend Taylor Pilates and Fitness.

I just started Pilates at the suggestion of my fabulous massage therapist. Somehow, not knowing one thing about it, I thought it was going to be easy. It is not, but my body tells me it is so worth my effort. Ashley Taylor is incredibly perceptive, notices everything and is a very good listener. It is rare to find someone who is impeccably good at what they do and Ashley Taylor and her team are just that. Staying at home has been hard on our bodies and I am no exception. Ashley developed a program for me and had wonderful referrals for chiropract and physical therapy professionals. I’ve been going to Ashley and the difference in my movement has let me to be able to go on crazy long and hard hikes to just being more mobile in day to day life. Ashley has given me programs that incorporated my busy schedule as well as knowing my limits on “homework”.
Even during the pandemic I have felt fine going to the studio because of their rigorous cleaning and safe distancing policies.

Ashley is beyond excellent! She has helped me recover from multiple injuries and stress/ compensate patterns while helping me maintain full body strength and mobility. She is fun to be around too! Working with Ashley has allowed me to get back to some of my favorite things without pain. The studio is bright, open, well equipped and spotless.
