Thanh Tran, or Tran as everyone calls him, is a proud and hardworking Vietnamese immigrant. Tran and his wife have raised six kids here in Spring Branch for over 25 years. He started his business as a mobile mechanic before moving into a building on Spring Branch Dr for a few years. In 2004, he moved the shop to where it is now at 2315 Hollister Rd.
Tran brings with him over 40 years of automotive knowledge. Among his employees are his brother and two of his sons, so this is truly a family owned and operated business. He prides himself on being honest and saving his customers money wherever he can, without cutting corners. Tran is known by his customers to be an extremely kind and helpful man - and also something of a workaholic.

Thanh started his business here in Houston as a mobile mechanic in the mid 90s. As word spread about his great work and his clientele grew, Thanh decided that it was time to open up his on shop. In 2000, Thanh opened up his physical location on Spring Branch Dr where he would continue to grow his business.
Our diagnostic charge is $100/hr for drive-ability, check engine light and electronic problems. Engine repair services include but not limited to head jobs, valve jobs, engine rebuilds and replacement. Transmission flushes, filter replacement, diagnostic and valve body service are available. We replace shocks, struts, control arms, ball Joints, sway Bar Links and brakes jobs to name a few.

These guys are super honest, no price jumps, they let you know of problems before doing any work non-related to what you've asked for & definitely have earned my business for any future problems my cars may have. Highly recommend TNY Auto Repair!! I brought my car in without an appointment and Nghia helped me right away. His customer service was impeccable and I knew I could trust him on what the issue was with my Jeep as well as pricing. I had to leave my car there for a couple of days due to the amount of work they had, and when I said I didn't live far and that I would walk home they offered to give me a lift back- so nice!! I had truck problems yesterday. I got the truck towed to this place. We had taken my wifes car there before. AAA got us there at 8 pm the owner came back to the business so my truck could be put inside the fence..He called me the next morning by 10 a.m. , they had the problem diagnosed and told me how much it would be, and would be finished the same day. I hardly ever give 5 star reviews. I will definitely be back again and again.

Had a big branch get caught under my car and wasn't able to remove it on our own without professional help. Actually couldn't really drive it.
Called the guys at our most trusted repair shop and they sent their two kids to personally stop by to pick up our vehicle - talk about service!
While at the shop and on the lift, had them do my brakes and do the 100K service and was given a very fair quote and was taken cared of like family by this family owned shop. The only thing better than their quality service and low, fair prices is their level of professionalism and honesty. Good shop

Nghia did a great job diagnosing (and fixing) a tricky electrical problem that had caused me problems for years. He is one of maybe 3 people I trust to work on my stuff.
I've used this shop several times for 2 different vehicles and they've done good work every time, from u-joints to fuel pump and the aforementioned ignition issues. I plan to use them more in the future.
(They also know a tow truck guy if you need help getting your car to them)

One of the best Yelp finds, thank God because I am new to Texas and did not have too many resources for referrals for car maintenance/repairs.
My first visit I needed an oil change and a quote on repairs that needed to be done. They inspected my car and showed me exactly what needed to be replaced, no one has ever done this and I appreciated it. Boyfriend had car trouble and we looked up the closest place with good reviews in Yelp.
Yelp did not steer us wrong!
As soon as we got there we were immediately helped and multiple of the staff cane out to help find the problem. I can't remember the son's name, but he called us out into the shop where he had lifted the car and physically showed us where the problem was. He is extremely knowledgeable and explained it to us, answering all our questions (motor mounts we're broken).
He wrote us up a quote and we will be bringing the car in next week! This shop easily earned a couple

Thankfully TNY's helps make at least the vehicle inspection part a little less painful.
The whole staff does a great job of greeting you and helping you out. From the moment I got there everyone asked me if I had been helped out or if I wanted some coffee or water. Literally everyone which I thought was pretty awesome.
I was in and out about 15 min if that.
