I cannot recommend this shop enough!! The catalytic converter was stolen off of my car and I was able to bring my car in right away. The repair only took a few days and they were able to work directly with my car insurance company so I didn't even have to lift a finger. My car's catalytic converter was stolen and I needed to find a shop in the neighborhood that was reasonably priced and reliable. I lucked out with Fred's. The staff is so pleasant and helpful. After 30 plus years with the same mechanic and moving from the area I was in search of a new mechanic. Fred's was recommended by the staff at Graceland. My Daughter had her brakes done. My car was brought in and inspected. I was given a quote and the work was preformed. The car feels and handles so much better. I live near Fred's so it made sense to head in when I had a flat tire. I reached out through the website to make an appointment and heard back almost immediately with availability the next morning. Once I dropped off my car, I was thoroughly impressed with the speed at which they were able to diagnose the issue and patch the tire. They were communicative and professional. Fred and Ray at Fred’s were wonderful to work with! My Check Engine light had come on in conjunction with needing a recall serviced so I asked a local Ford dealership to run diagnostics. Long story short I was told I needed a new engine, among other items immediately and that the car should not be driven. Fred’s is right around the corner so I called and they saw the vehicle right away for a second opinion - an alternator and four spark plugs later I’m back on the road and extremely relieved! The work was quality and timely and the costs were tough to beat. Would recommend this garage and

Freds Garage has helped me several times and saved me hundreds of dollars- if not more!! Once there was the loudest screeching on one of my tires, and I thought something was wrong with my brakes, Fred’s team took me in with no appointment, took my whole tire apart, and found a stone about the size of a tooth stuck in the metal some how, and my… wheel was fixed in less than an hour. (And they even went as far as to let me know my brake pads were still good condition for a long while) That was just one of the times they have helped me in the last 7 years, and they take care of my husbands

I live in Woodstock and work in Chicago. I noticed early in the morning my brakes were grinding.
