I lived here before, during and after the transition from Oak Tree Apartments to The Retreat Apartments, but didn't have the pleasure of experiencing the upgrades and dog park that came. However, this location is the best in Santa Clarita, considering you have the safe and quiet surrounding neighborhood to walk your dogs even at night. My favorite areas were circle J park and the field further down the road to let my dogs run. These apartments have come a long and they seem to be better managed than what I had to deal with while under Oak Tree management. There is the matter of the freight train

Before you anyone decides to move here.....you may want to inquire if they resolve their rat infestation issue within their old building structure. Lackluster response from management in regards to the issue as they blame it on a landfill that has been present there since their construction. MAKE A BETTER DECISION AND LIVE ELSEWHERE

I enjoyed living at The Retreat. The staff (Christian, Shelby, Craig, and Tiphani) cared about the community and all the individuals living there. Working from home during the pandemic was quiet and comfortable. The apartment was updated with neutral and nice aesthetics. My husband and I are tall allowing us to really appreciate the cathedral high ceilings on the top floor unit and the high kitchen countertops. The layout was nice and we always felt like we had ample space. The neighborhood was quiet with good options for walking and bike riding on nearby trails and the city’s Paseo trail system

The Retreat (Santa Clarita, CA) was a quiet and well-maintained property. My stay was only for a year due to job changes, but I would have been happy in here long term. My apartment was on the 2nd level over looking a pool and a hillside. The apartments are updated aesthetically well and being tall we liked the high counter tops and high ceilings. There were a fair amount of maintenance needs with the appliances and overall they were responsive in addressing them. The office staff (Christian, Shelby) were a pleasure to work with and extremely cordial through our stay at The Retreat. Craig and the

The management is great! I appreciate the response time on work orders. The compound is kept clean, neighbors are great and the apartments are modern and in great condition.

My HVAC stopped working during the weekend, I contacted Christian, the Community Director, this morning. I had chilly AC by 2:00 pm! Thank you Christian & Craig, you're the BEST!!

I'm exited to have kris as are leasing manager. He was wonderful showing us around and very enthusiastic. You can tell he is passionate about his job 100% and he was very patient with us. The apartments look like beautiful remodeled hotel suites and have 2 gorgeous pools. I'm so excited to rent with them! Yes, they just remodeled and it took awhile to make it this beautiful that's why the past reviews are complaints. Some people need patience.

This place has its upsides and downsides. The upside is it was at one time a little cheaper than the other locations, justifying that fact that it did not having anything walking distance other than the Circe J Park. New owners have found an opportunity to throw on new paint and wasted no time raising rent while causing huge inconveniences to their tenants. Their limited free spaces in combination with lifts, shipping containers, demolition dumpsters, and porta potties make parking an extreme issue. Luckily a storage yard lets tenants park in their dirt lot out front but they did have cars towed

I have never experienced a worst group of people claiming to be property managers. They display a very low regard towards tenants . Living there during the remodel putting up with all the inconvenience and at the end huge rate rent increase I cannot get away from this place soon enough. Absolutely the worst apartment rental experience I’ve ever encountered .

With the new owners, FPI Management, my rent increase had become so high that myself and a large number of my neighbors were forced to move. This is with construction that has been going on for a year on a daily basis. Our gym and both pools were shut for a year. I had construction workers show up with notice at least 5 times on my 2 floor balcony. Management blows off one's concerns. The "upgrades" that have been done are cheap workmanship or incomplete. Really a shame as this used to be a nice family building. Also keep in mind that the building is right next to an active train track that runs

I have lived here for about 10 plus years. It's never been the best when it comes to management, but since the new owners have taken over, it been the worst its ever been. Starting with a huge rent increase of $225. If we chose not to sign their new one year lease, rent was to increase to over $300 more. If you thought that was bad enough, we then get a bill for our monthly payment with the added utility fees totaling up to $75. Talk about shady, the new manager rushed us through the lease signing and never told us about having to pay for water, trash, sewer and a service fee. Oh, and how generous
